An explosion as loud as giants rumbling crashed in, my eyes darted to the collapsed and injured individual on the ground, the windows were caved in of soil and grass.. Could it be some insane Earthquake? No, a hero wouldn't be so injured because of that. Especially if it's the main character.
I untied my apron as I chose to approach Kaden, who I hoped wasn't dead. I couldn't really do anything in that situation, I had no abilities whatsoever. Kneeling down I examined his injuries.
Fortunately he was just unconscious, scrapes and blood swept his body, at his levels, he could easily defeat mid-level monsters, the plot had gone out of the usual plan.. Wait, where is the book- i quickly went to my locker as i read through the pages.
I came to a pause, the plot did change, and it looks like it's close to an end.
My finger shit a line, "Kaden's corpse laid on the ground as his blood pigmented the floor of the cafe, it was his end."I read to myself, no pages after it.
I had to stop the bleeding, maybe this was a hope for a different path, my head turned to a towel. With my strength, I ripped it apart, and covered his limb which was bleeding out most of the blood.
I turned his face towards me, despite the scrapes and blood wounds he achieved, he really was the main character with those looks, I scraped away his softer blonde hair looking closer at him. A tall,handsome,good willed and powerful main character, that's what this world deserved.
Someone like me, not even given a name, was just a side character in his little wonderland.
That's right.
My eyes slid to a close, in hope that time would pass by enough for Kaden to wake up,for him to somehow save this, the plot had a completely unpredictable turn now. Only I was aware.

It's been 5 hours and 13 minutes.. And 35 seconds, also way past closing time, I looked over to the clock that reads '2:35 AM'.
Yet the 'hero' isn't awake. I prepared for plan 'B' if he didn't wake up, I held up my hand to slap him across the face. His eyes widened open, right when my palm was just 2 seconds away from his face.
"Ah.. good morning?..."I responded as I pulled away my hand, my words did not lift the awkward atmosphere. Much more did it make it more awkward then it was beforehand.
Sitting up, his fingers draped over his wounds, to find out that they were bandaged, "You.. bandaged them?.."His eyes met mine, oh right,his first 'touch' of real affection was supposed to be from the female lead.
During the date.. wait I changed the storyline again?.. I sighed deeply to myself not responding to Kaden, it seemed like a stubborn attitude matched another stubborn attitude.
"Hurry up hero, you're injured, i couldn't just have left you here.."I said getting up from my spot, people can say i'm being rude or too much. But I'm already aggravated with the storyline, and it's not like this is the first time I met him.
The blue male stood up, shakingly, it seems like his body is too weak right now, I managed to catch him by the waist. Just as he was about to fall, "You need some guidance?.."I asked Kaden.
"Yeah-.."His gaze suddenly changed for a split second, which was new but also too familiar to me, i put his arm over my neck, "We should find Valerie around here.. Quick, I did all I could with those wounds.."I told Kaden who seemed too bothered with his own stress.
But his steps paused, as he constricted me from moving as well, "Wait.. how do you know who Valerie is?.."Kaden managed to question despite the injury, as my gaze stayed composed.
"Valerie and I were childhood friends.. You know her too?.."I managed to swiftly tell the lie, The blonde male nodded to my words, "Oh, and by the way, can you tell me who did this to you? I think I might be able to help."My neutral expression seems to confuse him.
Kaden's gaze softened, he was using, 'Ability Seer', to test my compatibility with whatever monster attacked him. His eyes widened a little, "No, I can't tell you, I don't want to put another civilian's life at risk.."A dimmed expression filled the male.
Since I don't have any abilities, with his seer power, he was able to see nothing but an empty inventory. But i didn't bother him any further, if he doesn't want me to attack the monster so be it.
"Okay."I simply replied as I laid down his injured body on the couch, "I'm going to go out and look for Valerie.. You, keep safe?.."I paused for a moment, before I looked over to the pastry shelf.
"Oh- You don't have to-"
I came back with a donut covered in glaze, as I handed it to Kaden, "It'll only take a few minutes, so have a snack.. "I smiled softly,
Before Kaden could respond, i disappeared.

I looked around, the rubbles of bricks and buildings, the cries of children reuniting with their parents. What a mess.
Everything was a disaster no doubt that this was the cause of a higher villain, rain dropped down. The first drop was on my cheek.
It held a bright but also depressing red pigment, it was no rain.
I licked a drop of blood that fell on my thumb. It was raining blood of the victims who died, my eyes shot to the direction of a loud feminine voice.
"Get out of here!"She yelled out, her amber eyes held a kind of sincerity, she had long locks of brunette hair, she was healing a child in her arms and leading a group of civilians to safety.

I approached the tall woman, she was just inches away from our height gap. "I'm sorry but can you-"I cut her off with just one sentence.
"You know who Kaden Alleops is?.."A cruel smile grazed my face, as if everything had feezed.
"Yes I do."
