Chapter 4 - Warriors

A month after the Marking Ceremony,  class ended. Mom never questioned my actions that night saying that I was only envying Cristina' for she found her mate.

I coped up with it for 2 more weeks, avoiding Kade. I don't want to cross paths with him again. We now have a 2 months vacation. And I'll make the most of it.

"Mom, Dad, can I spend my Vacation at Aunt Dia's?" I asked them while eating breakfast.

They both looked at me in surprise.  "Uh... didn't you say you don't like being with scary Lycans, Honey?" Mom asked me.

"And have you also forgotten that my sister, your aunt is a Warrior?" Dad added.

I looked at both of them in determination.  "Then, I'll be one too" I answered.

They both choked at their meal, not believing what I just said.

"You sure, honey?" Dad asked for the last time. I nodded in full determination.

I guess I'm gonna be alone forever... Why not just make the most of it.

I can't even have a child... Only those with their true mates can...

I arrived there early, showing how fitting I am to be a Warrior. I heaved a sigh before looking at the tiled pathway....

I'm doing it for me...

Not for anyone else...

Not even for that Bastard Kade...

For me...

I walked down the path, at the end of it, I saw a bunch of Lycan Warriors training by the beach, they were all about my age.

Well, Lycans age 4x slower than us so they will look like that....

Or is it we? I'm half a Lycan too.

Will it be only 3x slower because I'm only a half?

"HEY YOU!?" A middle aged 7ft tall man shouted at me, disturbing my thoughts. He looked like the one who guards this place, on his waist he have daggers circled around it. A scar was present on his left eyebrow making him look scary. He grabbed my shoulder and squeezed it.

I flinched in pain. "O-Ouch, let go!" I wriggled out yelling at him in pain.

"No wolves allowed, only Lycans! And you don't look like one." He yelled back at me and was gonna drag me out when suddenly someone called.

"Peter!" a woman called from behind. The man looked at me before looking at the one who called. "What are you doing?" She asked as she peeked to look at me.

A-Aunt Dia!

"Disposing a none Lycan, Honey...." Peter replied as his grip tightened.

HONEY?! This man is my Aunt's Mate!?

I looked at Aunt Dia asking for help, she ran near me and snatched me away from that violent man.

"What are you talking about?" Aunt Dia asked the confused Peter. She rolled her eyes at him before turning to me.

"She has the Lycan Mark on her chest" she defended then lowered my shirt carefully.

(NOTE: Lycan Marks are crescent moon shaped birthmarks on the body. These Mark's can only be seen by another Lycan and appear completely invisible in any other wolfs' vision. These Mark's also glow when light coming from the moon reflects them.)

"I-I don't think that's necessary..." Peter immediately turned around in embarrassment. "...you could've just said it, Honey."

I closed my eyes in embarrassment.  With that clarified, Aunt Dia began dragging me to the Mansion.

Even they're pack house is on another level!

She pulled me to the Kitchen and motioned me to seat. I feel tensed, it was like I was on a court trial or something.

"What are you here?" She asked me, folding her arms impatiently.

"I believe my father told you, ma'am. " I answered without thinking. She let out a low growl, warning me. "I-I mean, to become a Warrior, ma'am!"

She laughed at my explanation. "You look skinny" My aunt commented, scanning my whole body. I flinched at her comment.

Heard that a million times....

She looked at me with mockery. "I bet you can't even wield an axe."

I lowered my head, losing all my confidence.

I heard footsteps coming near me, until I saw her shoes. She raised my chin and smiled at me. "Really, what made you make this decision?"

Although I was doubting, I decided to tell it to her.  She told me that carrying a problem together is better than doing it alone.

"And now.... I'm h-here..." I explained while sobbing. She was serious the whole time and was just eagerly listening to me.

...

Letting out a low laugh, she looked at me with pity. "You may really be my niece...." she said out of nowhere.

Standing up she grabbed a wine on the wine rack, opened in and gulped all its contents in one go.

I looked confusedly at her. "W-what do you mean?"

"Heh" wiping her mouth she sat back again and looked at me. "My mate did that too..." she answered with tinge of sadness in her eyes. "He rejected me for another she-wolf"

I was shocked at the revelation. "R-Really?" I couldn't help but sound excited.

She looked irritated at my tone. "Are you that happy to find someone like you?"

I nodded. "But... if your mate rejected you... then who's Peter?" I asked in confusion. "Did he take you back?"

"Pfttt... HAHAHAHAHA...." she held her stomach as she laughed hard. "Peter the one who accepted me. He was also rejected... and now, he's stuck with me." She explained. " Anyway, we love each other so don't get mistaken." She clarified as if she read my thoughts.

I really thought she dated Peter out of desperation or something.....

"Anyway, your training start tomorrow. And also I'm gonna make your mate regret that." She said then went to her room.

I sat there frozen from the words I just heard.

S-she accepted me...
