Chapter 6 - The Prince

I was more confused than before, so I stood up and took a deep breath. "So you're saying that OUR PURPOSE is to protect the most powerful beings in the world?" It was like I was choking at my every word.

My mom stood up, grabbed both my shoulders and forced me to face her. "Your dad's job is an honour,  are you saying that it's a shameful thing to protect those who are already strong?."

My eyes widened when mom took my words in a wrong way. "No, mom... it's not like that." I said defending myself.

Mom sighed and looked at me. "Honey, even the strongest person have weaknesses..." she explained and carresed my cheeks.

I sighed in frustration. "I-I'm just confused...why do they need protection again?" I waited for her answer but she just smiled at me and continued caressing my cheeks.

"My daughter... you look just like mom when she was young..." she said changing the topic.

I just sighed at her. Maybe it's enough that I found out our real purpose, I'll just find out about other things in the right time.

"Get off!" I yelled at him in disgust. He was pinning me on the wall with a grin on his face.

"Why are you still denying it? Didn't you change yourself for me?" He asked in a prideful tone.

He's been doing it for a week since school started. He was continously hitting on me and questioning my decisions.

Everyone in the whole school was shocked on my comeback, multiple unmated Male wolves were courting me and following me everywhere. But... only one was persistent, Kade Yarbury.

I scoffed at him. "Are you losing your mind, Kade?" I asked him in a sarcastic tone. "I think lately you've been having..."

I glared at him. "...illusions " I said then slowly slapped his cheeks 2 times, mocking him.

He purred like a cat grabbing my hand and caressing it to his cheeks.

If it weren't for the reason that Cristina's watching us, I could've killed this wolf in the most brutal way, right here right now. Just until when will she continue hiding.

"Kade!!" A she wolf growled.

Tsk...Took her long enough. Rolling my eyes, I looked at her with a sinister smile on my face.

"Kade, what are you--"

"What are you doing here, Cristina?" Kade said cutting her off. Her eyes widened in fear. "Can't you see I'm in a middle of something?" He said using his Alpha tone. He must stayed in his position, not minding Cristina's feelings.

To add fuel to the fire, I wrapped my arms on his neck and looked at Cristina with a victorious smile. He groaned in delight.

Cristina became teary eyed. "Kade, she's using you!!"

"CAN YOU JUST SHUT UP AND GO AWAY?!" Kade roared. In fear, she ran away while sobbing and crying her heart out.

"A pity really..." I commented. He looked at me in a seductive way. I was disgusted by his expression. "Both of you are..." I said before escaping his blocking arms and walking away.

"HEY?!" he shouted as he ran to catch up on me.

Turning around, I lifted my skirt up and got four daggers out of the belt holder I encircled around my legs. Throwing it to him one by one, his clothes were pulled to the wall.

I smirked at the sight of him, being stuck on the wall by the magic of my dagger throwing skills.

Slowly I walked towards him. His face was white as snow when I reached him. "You know... I'm not someone you can play with anymore..." I smirked as I pulled one of daggers out of the belt holder encircled around my legs.

I looked at him as I played the dagger on his neck, sliding it carefully on his throat. He was shaking. "...and you said you deserved better?" I clicked my tongue before turning my back at him.

Walking down the corridor slowly, a bright idea came to me. Smirking, I've decided to do it. "I, Zara Okwaho..."

"Wha-What are you doing?" his voice trembling.

"...Reject you, Kade Yarbury..."

"You don't know what you're doing!" He yelled at me like I was supposed to be threatened.

Turning around to look at him, I smiled. "...as my mate" with that, he winced in pain.

(Note: If a wolf rejects his/her mate, the rejected hate will suffer from a painful throbbing at the heart. Male wolf can recover from it in 6-8 hrs., while she-wolves takes 8-9 hrs. to recover. )

"Luna! Aishhhh... Luna!" Faye shouted continously at my sword while I was eating peanuts.

She found it at my bag and asked me what it is annoyingly, so I told her the truth that It was a legendary sword that behold the power of both the moon and the sun.

I left the lycan Lycan Warrior part and just told her that my mom bought it from an antique shop in the city, which she believed was true.

I looked at her in boredom. "I told you it was broken..." I said rolling my eyes at her. She pouted at me before slowly slamming it to the bed.

"Tch, why'd you keep it then?" She asked irritatedly. I chuckled at her.

Acting like I was thinking, I pointed my index finger on my head. "To keep it as s collectible?" I answered at her making her frown in disappointment.  She shook her head before standing up and rummaging her closet.

Grabbing the sword, I carefully put it back inside my bag. "My baby... " I murmured before carefully laying it inside my bag.

CLANG**

A dropped hanger echoes across our room.  Looking at her irritatedly, she took out a white knee length satin dress from her closet. "Don't you think it's pretty?" She asked and faced me.

I nodded my head before knitting my eyebrows. "What are you gonna need it for anyway?" I asked her in confusion.

Flashing a shocked face at me, she marched towards me.  "It's Kade's initiation ceremony this evening!" She squealed in joy.

I just looked at her blankly. "That's what your excited about?" I asked her, sarcastically.

She frowned at my tone before going back to the mirror and checking her self again. "So are you coming or not?"

Pouring peanut in my mouth, I shooked my head. "Mom's coming, so we ready have a representative in our family, that's enough." I answered with my mouth full.

"I was really hoping you'd come with me, I even heard that the prince will be there?"

I choked and coughed at the words I just heard. Her eyes widened as she ran  to me and gave me a bottled water.

"You! Why can't you be careful!" She scolded at me while rubbing my back.

KRINNNGGGG**

My phone rang. I took it out of my bag and saw that the caller was my mom. "Ackkk... H-hello?" I answered.

'Hello, honey?'

''Yes, mom?'' I answered finally recovering from my cough. Faye stood up and went back to her business again.

'I just got a call from the city and I will be on an important meeting today.'

''Okay, why are you telling me this?'' I asked while cleaning my mess up.

"Attend the initiation on my place later, okay?" She ordered and hung up before I could even react.

I scoffed at my phone before throwing it inside my bag. Faye looked at me in confusion. "What's wrong?"

I massaged my temples in irritation. On the verge of blowing up, I remembered mom's words.

'Responsibilities of a Warrior....'

'...to protect the royal bloods.'

'The remaining royal bloods...Prince Travon'

The biggest pack after The Lycans, The Lētifer. It's just right to be visited by them though.

Looking at the worried, Faye. I smirked. "Guess I'll be going with you tonight." With that, her face lit up in joy.
