There was a rap on the door followed by a permission request for entry.
"Is something wrong happen...ing -?" I inquired the moment I opened the door.
"No. I came to see you," answered the charcoal-black short fade haired Remi as he closed the door behind him.
"Did you find anything?"
"No. The doctors were baffled. After all, it's not what we're accustomed to over here."
It's true. Those beasts would be slaughtered before hurting any one of us.
"Do you reckon it's the work of those creatures?"
Remi shrugged his broad shoulder.
"I wouldn't dare to comment, Wystan. Didn't you say she's mmmmpphhh?"
I covered his mouth, fear he would utter the sensitive word in this haven.
"Don't say the offensive word here," I commanded.
"What?"
"You heard me."
"Fine. As you wish. Anyway, what made you think it's those beings and not her... you know...that... you know?" His hand swirled on the air as a sign language, in compliance with my order.
