Camillo and Trevor had taken two totally opposite paths at the start of that year. Camillo became an outlaw, he was the head of the most feared gang in town, he even started dealing drugs; given that he no longer wanted to continue his studies despite the fact that he was in his final year, my aunt Valeria and my mother saw fit to send him abroad so that he could manage in the business, my father and Uncle Georges ended up choosing Mexico not only because they wanted to perpetuate the family heritage that their fathers had passed on to them (the famous and very famous Torretto cartel that they had abandoned in order to be able to raise their children) but also because Camillo put pressure on them, he said he could manage more easily there and that there he would easily become a billionaire like our grandfather the legendary Eduardo Torretto.
Trevor meanwhile finished his studies normally and had his baccalaureate and obtained an excellent mention then he went to Montreal in Quebec to continue his studies.
The more the house emptied of boys, the more it became dull. The house no longer belonged to the girls. Now we each had our own room, no more sharing so it was very difficult to see each other together. We saw each other just for breakfast, going to school, coming home from school and having dinner with the family; apart from that, we were never together.
We didn't really get along with my mom and Aunt Valeria, they had way too many rules and were too strict with us and the worst part was they spent all their time yelling at us. Because of all of this, we were all anxious to leave the house. A year later, Gabriella was already in 12th grade and we (Olivia, Anne, Angel and I) were all in grade 1. We hoped to end it quickly, finally leave this golden prison and start a new life elsewhere, far from our parents and above all far from the laws. We were finally tasting absolute freedom.
