Aunt Cassie started by showing us our room, it was a large room with two beds each placed in a corner of the room, it also had a medium sized walk-in closet and a superb bathroom, the decor was not bad but too girly for my taste on the other hand Olivia loved it. After changing and unpacking our suitcases, we went down to the kitchen where Aunt Cassie was making a snack for us.
After eating, Olivia and I started to tour the house. Aunt Cassie's children still weren't there and as we were dying to see what they looked like we went to inspect the living room and dining room walls hoping to find a family photo but to our great surprise, there were no pictures on the living room and dining room walls. Aunt Cassie joined us about five minutes later and I asked her:
- Aunt Cassie, (I said) you don't seem to like the pictures here very much.
- On the contrary, (she said) everyone here really likes the photos
- So why are there none on your walls? (Olivia cut her off) Not even a single family photo.
- You would have known if you had let me finish. (Aunt Cassie answered him) Actually we devoted a whole room to it.
- To the photos? (I say amazed)
- Yes to the photos. (Aunt Cassie replied) And we call this room the "Family Gallery". If you want, we'll go see her later, just let me take that call.
- No problem. (I replied delighted)
Aunt Cassie left the dining room and went to her bedroom to take her call; About five minutes later, a young man of about 25 entered the house.
- It's me. (He said)…. Mum? ... I invited Missie to dinner with us tonight so she will be here soon ... Mum? But where are you at the end?
He walked into the dining room and saw us, he froze at the entrance to the dining room as if he had seen ghosts and then approached us.
- Good evening (he threw us)
- Good evening. (We both answered)
- Uh… are you? (He questioned us)
- My name is Luciana Leanne Torretto. (I said)
-And I am Olivia Morgane Torretto. (Olivia added)
- Are you Aunt Julia Torretto's daughters? (He asked)
- Yes indeed. (I answered him)
- Mom told me you were coming today but it got out of my head. (He added)
- It does not matter. (Olivia said sitting down)
- And you are… ? (I questioned him)
- My name is Riggie Won Calloway. (He answered me) I'm Cassandra's eldest son
- No ... no kidding ... are you serious? (I say surprised)
- Yes ! (He answered me)
- Forgive me for being intrusive, but how old are you exactly, Riggie? (I asked her still in shock)
- I have 25. (He replied) ... Considering your reaction, you did not expect this answer; you thought cassie's first child should be approximately how old?
- I thought he must be about 15 years old. (I answer)
-Waouh! (He laughs) No children in this house are under 20 Luciana. My little brother is 23 and my little sister is 21.
- It's really hard to swallow. (Says Olivia)
- Yes I know. (Said) But that's the strict truth.
- No one said that was wrong. (I threw him)
- You are not wrong. (He replied) ... You have guts, I feel like we are going to get along well with you and me.
- Perhaps. (I say) We'll see.
Shortly after, Aunt Cassie joined us in the living room; she greeted Riggie and asked him what time Missie was due to arrive. He explained to her that she was to arrive with Marie-Charlz in about an hour.
About half an hour later, we were chatting again when a lovely young woman entered the living room.
-Hello everyone. (She said as she approached us)
-Good evening. (We all answered in unison except for Riggie who said something else)
-Hello Darling ! (Said Riggie giving him a hug) Are you all alone?
-Not at all. (She replied) I'm with M-Chuck; she made a quick turn to the small corner first.
-Sacred M-Chuck! She will never change, (Riggie said with a smile, then spoke to Olivia and me). Girls, this is Melissa, my girlfriend, (then he spoke to Melissa). Missie, this is Luciana and Olivia.
"Nice to know you Melissa," (I said as Olivia nodded, shaking her head).
-Me the same girls, (she replied, smiling). I hope we will be good friends.
We were about to respond when another girl entered the living room.
-How good to finally be home. (She said as she slumped down on the couch)
-Marie-Charlz? (Said Aunt Cassie) Can't you see there are strangers in the house? Stop acting like a kid and come say goodnight.
-Mom… ! (She replied, getting up with difficulty) I'm tired!
She ends up obeying her mother anyway and came to say good evening; we got to know each other and she was quite nice, the current passed quickly between us since we were only a year apart.
Exhausted from the trip and all the hassles of the road, I decided to go to bed super early so I didn't have the opportunity to meet everyone. Olivia, meanwhile, decided to stay to get to know everyone better since she was not sleepy.
