Another explosion occurred, hitting Luna's body just before she failed to dodge it. Her body immediately collapsed, with body wounds that were already covered with blood. While around her dust scattered, along with the elements of fire and ice mixed into one.
Luna panted, she stood by resting on one knee. Her eyes that glowed with white light had now dimmed slightly. Her face, which was always beautiful and clean, was now starting to get dirty and sweaty.
A monster suddenly appeared from beneath the ground, as the crack widened and was accompanied by a loud explosion. The ground shook again, even as if it was torn apart at an odd tilt. Everyone who was fighting again collapsed, especially those who were standing on the hole that had begun to form in the ground.
"Damn you!" cursed one of the monsters who almost fell into a hole in the ground. Its slipping body could now hold on to the edge of the rocky plain. Its long tail that looked like a rope had twisted and wrapped around the neck of another monster, it leaped up and returned to the fierce battle.
A roar reverberated, the hole in the ground was like sucking up the dust and gravel in the upper plains, along with the appearance of a monster who had pounded the ground with his two giant hands.
The ground shook again, causing the different races of creatures to stagger and fall into the ground again. Flames licked from the pit of the earth, as a monster appeared that soared up after it pressed its tail from the ground.
A deafening roar awakened Marfo. He squinted and looked up at the sky, at the flames that encircled the monster's body. "Dego!" Marfo's eyes widened. Now his gaze combed through all the battle points, trying to find something.
However, when he failed to find it, Marfo summoned his Demon. "Topaz! Come out and appear!" Marfo's hand holding his sword, looked like a fist. Now and then he stepped on and slashed the bodies of monsters that tried to attack him.
Before Topaz, Marfo's demon in the form of a giant octopus, emerged from the ground, Marfo bounced in a somersault. He felt the rush of a resurrected monster that was now trying to paralyze him.
The monsters that attacking Marfo collided with each other as Marfo managed to dodge upwards, and then landed on Topaz's head. His feet landed gently, which then returned to trace the disgusting and terrible faces of the monsters.
"Take me to the hole in the ground now!" Marfo said to Topaz, just as he was able to stab a monster in the shape of a shadow man. Now Marfo left the battlefield, eyes narrowed at the sky, and found the fiery earth monster that had just risen from its grave had now swooped down with its bat wings.
Topaz's body sank, pulling Marfo's body that had no trace. The ground didn't even split open when they entered and emerged, for it was as if Topaz and Marfo's bodies were shadows that never had volume.
They moved underground, twisting and stretching according to the pores of the soil itself. A moment after that, Topaz stopped the movement of his tentacles, leading Marfo to the sight of the gaping earthen pit in front of them.
The fire licked, shining on Marfo's eyes, which were as dark as natural rock. "So it's true that Dego has risen! How could he possibly awaken? I crippled him five hundred thousand years ago, his body was destroyed with the last flame that burned his body."
Marfo's eyes looked wildly around, on each side of the rising hole in front of him. He gripped his sword tightly, he was on Topaz's gently moving body. Now he was stuck at the rise of the monster that had run rampant. Because the resurrected monsters weren't just monsters that still left their bodies. But the resurrected monsters were monsters that had even been wiped out with their body elements exploding during the first great war.
"This is unbelievable and almost impossible. If they rose because of Corrux's power, then it means that they would have to leave behind even the slightest trace of life in this world. However….I've killed a lot of them and crushed their bodies to shreds and nothing remains. Then how did this happen?"
Marfo thought once more, his face getting darker. Along with that, he had made a decision. He said, "Topaz, we have to go downstairs and examine the remains of his grave. I want to see what energy is spreading below."
Topaz moved nimbly after hearing Marfo's order. His tentacles seemed to be grabbing step after step, moving with great confidence in the silence. Now that they were out of the ground, they were at the edge of the hole and clinging to the earthen wall around it. Water enveloped Topaz's body, which he had pulled from various directions. Those waters made the darkness in Topaz's body clearer to see.
They moved downwards for a while, but couldn't see the bottom yet. But before the journey could continue the ground suddenly rumbled again. The hole narrowed, the walls moved and began to close.
Although Topaz and Marfo's bodies were like shadows that would never break if they were in the ground when the hole in the ground narrowed they felt strong energy almost crushing them. So before anything bad happened, Marfo ordered Topaz to bring him to the surface.
In a strong pull of the tentacles, Topaz's body seemed to dart and popped Marfo's head on the surface. The legs of some monsters almost hurt his head, Marfo immediately raised the tip of his sword and knocked them down.
Now Topaz had returned to the ground, while Marfo who was standing firmly was surprised by the light of Luna's body that radiated very brightly from a distance. Marfo immediately ran and rushed to Luna's position. Not far from his position, Nery appeared bouncing in the sky after her Demon's tail made an attraction.
Luna was flung backward after the fiery, bat-winged earth monster, Dego, blasted the ground right at her body. The explosion had injured Luna's body badly enough that she failed to heal herself. Just as Luna was about to fly with the feathered shawl on her shoulder, another attack from the same monster hit her again.
Luna crashed again and fell to the ground in a state of the body on her stomach and badly injured. Luna coughed up blood, along with that her protective energy ball shattered, leaving the Healers' fragile protective wall behind.
Dego floated in the air, spitting fire on Luna's body and intending to scorch her. He became a very powerful monster, because every time a soldier tried to attack him there would be an explosion that occurred around him and defeated the soldiers as if the explosion was Dego's invisible soldier.
Marfo jumped over Topaz's head and tried to reach Dego's position. He wanted to rise above his body and plunge a sword into his heart. However, every time his body got close there would be an explosion that suddenly thumped in front of him, hitting his body and sending him flying backward.
Marfo tried to get up and attack many times, but the result was always the same. While in the distance Luna looked even more deadly. The white light radiating on her body had been submerged in the flames of Dego's torrent. Marfo's eyes filled with tears, seeing his lover weak and helpless.
But this was not over. "Wait for me, Luna! Be patient!" Marfo groaned. He tried to get up after feeling his strength began to drain. With a gasp, he put the weight of his body on his slightly trembling legs.
Marfo ran, calling for Topaz to shorten his range. Topaz's head appeared and sank to the ground, leading Marfo to approach Luna's body which was burned by Dego's fire.
Marfo stretched out his hand, almost pulling Luna's body away. However, a wall appeared from the ground, preventing Marfo and even throwing his body backward after another wall appeared and moved sideways to get rid of Marfo.
Marfo managed to escape after Topaz managed to save himself. Topaz's head moved to the side nimbly and sank into the ground in silence. They tried to reach Luna from different directions.
Now that they were back snaking underground, Marfo had lost almost half of his energy. The darkness in Topaz's body had diminished, making him a bit paler. "Take me right under Luna's body. I will pull her from below!"
Topaz moved at Marfo's request direction. He took Marfo to a point that Marfo wanted.
Marfo immediately reached the surface, found Luna's dress which felt very hot and even burned his skin. He grimaced, he immediately pulled Luna's body to sink into the ground. But before that could be done, Topaz suddenly disappeared. It made Marfo froze in the ground and could not move freely, like a frozen corpse.
