"Did you really think that your shadows would mask your presence from me while you scurry around in my domain?" The 7th declared out loud as she sat down next to the hole in the ground.
"Get out now, Fifth, or find yourself rotting in Naiga's belly."
The Seventh did not turn away from the hole as the Fifth emerged from the shadows. She continued to stare into the deep abyss as the ground around her began to shake.
The Fifth turned to the entrance of the clearing and saw a shadow emerge from the other side. Naiga, now much smaller than when Haik had witnessed her presence, slithered into the clearing towards the Seventh.
She enlarged herself after making it through the small passageway and curled up around the Seventh. Her eyes dug into the Fifth, not letting them off him for even a second. She hissed at the shell-shocked Fifth Reaper, snapping him out of his stunned state.
