Dale arrived home, Arkenfel. He didn't have a home. He found himself walking up his parents white concrete stairs. Looking back, he gave a frown at Senko and the saccubus. Unfortunatley, the saccubus didn't want to give her name. So Dale decided to call her Jill. She hated the name, but that was her punishment. At least Dale considered it that without telling them aloud. Maybe in time she'll tell me her name, he thought.
Dale noticed the nieghbor Bobby peeking over the bush.
"The fuck is that, Dale?" He asked as he squinted at Senko.
"Hey Bobby…I'll explain later." Dale said.
He was going to pass her off as a cosplayer, but white lies would fuck anyone up eventually.
"You know that old man? He must be over a thousand years old." Senko said.
"Nah, we don't age the same. I only just turned thirty…we don't live longer than one hundred and twenty..so declaires the curse of our God." Dale said as he raised a brow.
"A hundred years is nothing! You're practically children walking around. How did you all ever create such technology?"
"Blind faith in accumulated knowledge…technically nobody is smart enough to know it all, but as a team. We managed."
"I guess I'm an exception. I've been around since the fifties." Jill said.
"Damn.." Dale lowered his head.
He still wondered why he even brought her along. Something about the whole thing made him feel obligated too. He was also scared of her saccubus race. Would she eventually control him through temptation? Or drink his blood? He couldn't know what her motives were. Even worse, why they locked her up and kept males away from her.
Dale turned back to the dark brown wooden door. Two small distorted windows were on the top of the door and just as he feared. He saw a silhouette of someone watching them. Before he could knock, the door opened. His mothers worn face smiled at him. Then she burst into tears and held him in her scrawny arms. In a way he felt like a kid again. It was always that way when visiting his parents.
"Did something happen?" Dale asked.
"Little Billy…he's dead." She cried.
Little Billy was his brother Zack's kid. In short, it wad his nephew. Billy had a lot going for him. Dale had grown attached to the kid too.
"What happened?" Dale asked.
There was the sound of heavy footsteps. Dale saw his father's sharp eyes looking at him. But this time he looked broken. Less hostile than usuall. Normally he'd be an angry guy, especially at how Dale quit and became a bum. He'd never seen his dad so gloomy before.
"The police are convinced they did it." He said as he glanced up. Dale slowly turned back. The two girls looked at him with worried expressions. Then he looked up. The same hazy figure in the sky.
"Its always that ship..its always that damn ship." Dale said.
"Who are these two? The little fox girl doesn't seem right to me.." His mother said in an uneasy tone.
"You're not going to believe me..but God sent the fox girl to me. Her name is Senko..you know I'm not lying. I was athiest and was up until a few days ago." Dale said.
"Thats right! I'm an elite marksman. Bow before me and praise me!" She said.
Dale's mom got a surprised look as if she just cussed the pastor to Hell.
"Oh my.." She said.
"I believe ya son..did God say anything about that ship?" His father asked.
Regaining part of his sharp personality.
"Come inside. We can talk over a cup of tea…" his mother said as she walked inside. Dale and the girls followed behined him.
Over tea, Dale managed to explain everything to them. The God girl, Godzilla girl, the evil government branch that had Jill, and the summoning of Senko.
"That's such a heavy burden for you.." His mother said.
"She's right…you never had the resolve to.." His father paused at Dale's outrage.
"You never believed in me dad..I grew up alone. You weren't there for me and you didn't even buy me clothes when I needed them. No wonder my self esteem is fucked." Dale said.
"You ungrateful…" His dad tried hard to suppress his anger.
"Ungrateful for what? Never having clothes that fit? Never getting a dentist checkup? You were so damn stingey with your money." Dale said, he felt his face pulsating in anger.
Then he felt a little arm tug his shoulder. Dale looked down at Senko's face. She shook her head, left to right slowly. Dale took a deep meditiative breath, then he exhaled.
"Look, I have the resolve. It got even more personal when they…got my nephew." Dale stood up.
"Thank you for the tea ma." He said.
"Thank you for your generosity." Jill bowed.
"Thank you. It was an intresting drink." Senko said.
Dale had found he had billions of dollars in his bank account. With that he managed to buy the bus tickets and now checked into a hotel. For now, he'd focus on buying a home. Then he'd find a way to destory that ship in the sky.
According to the news. The army had already tried to nuke it with no luck. They tried various types of missiles. The last update Dale knew about was that the world leaders, with the help of various companies, were working together to create a new weapon.
That meant Dale had little to no way to inflict damage to the ship. Senko's little sling bullets wouldn't do much. Then there was the giant lizard girl would also lack any firepower to reach it. Unless she could fly, which he doubted.
"Hey, Dale…I feel so isolated and lonley.." Jill said.
She sat on the bed side, reading her black book. Her blonde hair was long, going over her shoulder.
"Why?" Dale truly didn't care how she felt. He hadn't even begun to process everything that just happens over the span of less than a week. But it just seemed right to at least try to help the saccubus.
"I've been locked up for over seventy years..seeing all this…" She slapped her bible shut. Then she turned to Dale who was sitting in a chair in the corner.
"Knowing people grew old and died… things came and left, I feel sick and alone." Her eyes were tearing up.
"I feel the same way…but my homeworld was a bit cruel. People here are nice and they treat eachother with respect. I have culture shock too, but Its not all bad." Senko said.
She sat on her large tail.
"Look, I'm sorry for summoning you..even lizard girl. I'll plea to the God that came to me for you all. Maybe he'll take you back home." Dale said.
"And Jill. I pulled you out of that facility, so I'll be your family. In a way, I can be like your dad." Dale smiled awkwardly.
Jill made a dissapointed expression and huged her black book.
"That's not what I mean…" she whispered.
War sirens began to scream. Dale's heart felt like it sank down deep.
"Whats that sound?" Senko said as she got on all fours, then she pulled off a growl.
"Kaiju.." Dale said as if he would cry at any second.
What would break this time? The mall? Schools? The power plant? Dale then imagined the death count that would rise on T.V. It would go high and higher as they found the bodies in the rubble of callapsed buildings. For all they knew, this kaiju could be the one they can't take down. The one to end the world as they knew it.
"Kilo! There's three falling from the sky." He heard the lizard girl in his mind.
"You two stay here.." Dale ordered the girls.
"Nah, I'm going and you can't stop me." Senko said. She had her sling already pulled out.
"Jill, keep an eye outside. If the monster even comes into view. I want you to leave." Dale ordered.
"M-m-monster?" Jill said. Her face was pale as she made a nervous grin.
"Yeah, no time too explain. Hopefully you wont even see it." Dale said.
He looked at Senko. Unlike Dale and Jill, Senko looked confident. In a way he was envious of Senko's arrogance and pride. She was very skilled, almost as if she deserved to be proud. The only thing alive that had the right to boast.
"Let's go then." Dale opened the door.
As he was leaving the lobby, he saw a news post on the TV screen. The headline read-Will Zilla save us again?- with a picture of the lizard girl he had summoned.
"They're falling..where do we meet?" Zilla asked using her telepathy.
"The tallest building near the harbor. I'll be there in thirty minutes." Dale said.
Dale didn't know what he would do or if he'd even survive this time.
