The two kaijus had landed in the ocean. Dale watched the aftermath from the harbor. The water boiling at the point of impact. That cuased two pillars of steam to continually rise from the ocean. Dale squinted and saw the glittering of warships even further out.
The harbor had been disabled from the past few kaiju attacks. All that was left were wrecked ships and crates.
"You intend to fight them? Wheres the dragon girl?" Scott said as he took off his sunglasses.
"You mean me?" Stella asked.
"No. I mean the giant girl that killed the stone kaiju.." He said.
"Its safe to say she wont help this time." Dale admitted.
Scott raised a brow, but he didn't say anything.
One of the boiling areas began to rise. A black figure emerged from the water. The face was box shaped with strips of glass panels. He could only assume that was the head. The sun glittered off its head too, just like the ships.
"Its a god damned giant robot." Scott said.
"God damned giant robot.." Senko repeated. Her eyes were wide as she stood by Dale. She already had her godly sling in hand.
"So whats the plan?" Bobo questioned.
Her blue eyes were on him.
Dale took a deep breath. His heart pounded in his chest as he watched a seagull land nearby. Running away was an option. The probibility of winning was zero.
He closed his eyes. The sound of splashing waves would be soothing. Especially if he didn't know a thing was coming to kill him. Dale opened his eyes.
"Alright. Stella…." Dale paused as he saw the second coming up. Another black robot. Its head was round with a V like visor.
"Theres two metal men.." Senko said.
"Thats new..we've never seen them attack with anything but Bioweapons." Scott said.
All he could see was their heads swaying. But he could tell they were giant by how they walked. Their feet actually touched the ground.
"Stella, you use your beam and destroy one of them." Dale ordered.
"Are you sure? The blast almost used up my mana last time. I can't use heal if I have no mana." Stella said.
"Fine, use one blast and save the last ones for an emergancy…I hope one is enough." Dale said.
"Alright..but are those navel ships, enemy ships?" Stella asked.
"Crap, I forgot about that." Dale said.
"Let me handle the ships..I'll see if I can get them to move." Scott pulled out his phone and put it to his ear.
"Zilla really would be our best bet though." Jill said.
"I know that..shes being stubborn, but I don't blame her. What right did I have to summon any of them?" Dale said.
"Dear humans." A voice seemingly echoed.
Dale held his ears. He heard the voice, but he didn't hear it with his ears. It was a downgraded version of Zilla's telepathy.
"I heard it too." Senko said.
"Same here. I think its.." Scott paused as the voice started again.
"Please stand down. Your planet does not have enough resources to sustain us both. We are at the brink of discovering immortality." The voice said.
Dale stared at the walking machine's menacing heads.
"That is the objective. Both of us want to leave a legacy of life. Our race is the key to that. Your race is premative and errored. According to your religion, it is survival of the fittest."
Dale felt the ground begin to shake mildy at each of their steps. Part of him believed them. That they were right. If they developed space travel, then who were they to deny them? What standards do morals go by? Who are people and why do they live?
Stella had the same look of confusion on her face. Even Senko.
"So surrender the giant human who wears the machine." It finished.
Dale lifted his head.
"Don't listen to these idiots. I've seen smart people do stupid shit. These bastards are sadistic. The God lady even said so…they may be smart, but they cold idiots that lack basic wisdom." Dale said.
Stella smiled at that.
"You got that right..they're idiots!" Senko said.
"I bet you don't even know what those words mean, but o.k." Dale chuckled nervously.
"I agree. With moral standards like the golden rule. I think we have more than enough reason to live." Jill said.
They watched as the ships launched cannon fire. In a way, it sounded like fireworks popping in the distance. The sound of buzzing of the war ship's weaponry, left an eerie feeling in the air. Then balls of fire flew up from the ship's. Both struck the machines, causing smoke to fill that area. Dale couldn't see much. The robot with the square head turned its torso like a robot toy. Then a white beam of light flashed. The sillouetts of the ships were visable, then an orange exposion afterwards. It jerked its torso quickly and fired another white beam. Again the same horrifying results.
Dale felt his body growing numb. Sweat began to endlessly drip down his forhead and armpits. At that rate he imagined he'd be dehydrated. Then it happened. His vision blanked out and he fell on his side. The sound of the ocean didn't stop. He could hear everyone's voices, but he felt like he was alseep. Dreaming almost. As if he would wake up and everything would be alright.
"Here, let me check his vitals." Stella said.
"Dale? Wake up!" Senko ordered.
He felt her tiny hands pulling and pushing his shoulder.
"Take it easy squirl kid..he just fainted." Scott said.
"I'm not a squirl.." Senko said.
A few minutes later. Dale opened his eyes to the sight of Stella, Bobo, Senko, scott, and Jill.
"What happened? I didn't even know I fell alseep.." Dale sat up.
"Sounds like you had a panic attack or something. I don't blame ya man.." Scott said.
Dale looked at the horizon again. The machines were closer now and the warships were ablaze. It wasn't just a dream.
"Look over there." Senko pointed to their right.
A large mound in the ocean was swimming their way. Black spikes emerged from the mound like a shark's fin.
"Zilla?" Dale whispered.
He swollowed nervously. Would she be mad this time? She was severely pissed off last time.
"Look. I'm still mad at you, but…" She paused.
She arrived and emerged from the shore. The water fell off her body small waterfalls. Then she got on her knee. The ground thudded as she studied them.
"But?" Dale said.
"Am I going def or am I missing something here?" Scott said as he looked up at the giant girl.
"He can talk with to her with their minds..I think." Senko said.
"But I'm getting sick of sleeping outside…make me a home and I'll help.." Zilla had a defeated expression on her face. He could tell she was forced into this and he pittied her. He knew what it was like to sleep outside. He'd been doing it for a month, before he met that lady.
"I get it..I'll do my best to make you a home. When this is over, I'll try to send you home." Dale said.
"That'll be our trade then." Zilla turned. The cannon on her side popped out.
"We're going to let Stella take a crack at it first." Dale said.
Zilla looked over her shoulder.
"I understand." She said and lowered her cannon.
Stella and Bobo held their hands up. A spining pentagram appeared before their hands.
"By the way, my name isn't Zilla. Its Chise." She said.
Dale curiosly looked up at her. She had her eyes set on the enemy. Dale opened his mouth to talk, but a burst of light flashed.
Stella fired her magic, causing a loud woosh to overlap all noise. The sea seemingly split as the beam traveled towards the two machines. Dale noticed the beam swerving left and right, as if they struggled to keep it still. Then it hit the one on the right. The blast splashed. Some of the hit bounced off and appeared as threads flying off its armor.
The water steamed up and they were left in suspence.
The ground began to shake again. That meant they were still walking.
"It didn't work!" Dale shouted.
"It might've worked..don't let fear cloud your judgment." Scott said.
The steam cleared and the two figures were visable again. The machine on the right had its arm slightly melted. It worked, but they would need multiple shots to actually do any damage.
Stella fell to her kneese. Her expression screaming of terror.
"I..k-k-ki…" Stella studdered.
Usually Stella was the most mature of them all and it scared Dale to see her like this. Similar to how a child would get scared if the parent claimed to be scared.
"I killed gods with that beam…" She managed to say. Dale noticed she regained her composure. She took deep breaths, and closed her eyes.
"Senko, you have magic right?" Dale asked.
"Ugh, yeah." She said.
"Welp, you can run away if you want. Any of you can run. I won't hold a grudge..but it looks like we'll be fighting. For what its worth." Dale said in a defeated tone.
"I'll hold you too that Dale…I won't hold a grudge if you run..may God help us all." Scott said. Then he started making his way back to his truck. Jill followed behined Scott. Since Jill had no way of fighting, this was her only option.
Dale felt his armor materialize around his body. He might actually die this time. If not him, then one of them might. It was the most realistic probibility. He studied Senko, Stella, Bobo, Jill, and Zilla.
"I guess we're fighting then."
