Chereads / How To Summon A Monster Girl / Chapter 14 - Inside The Mega Ship

Chapter 14 - Inside The Mega Ship

The lady that had granted him the wishes, stood before Dale. It was a dream, but it felt real.

"Why did you surrender?" She asked. She wore the same Japanese dress and sunglasses as before.

Dale looked at her with a bitter expression, like a child that was about to be scolded.

"I didn't want to see them die." He replied.

"You always quit..you even tried to commit suicide four years ago, tell me. Why didn't you?" She asked.

Dale felt extreme guilt. He took a deep breath.

"I…I..life is hard and my life sucked." Dale responded. He felt the bitterness in his throat. He didn't want to talk about it. It was clear this woman was about to question his deepest ideas.

"Dying would have been easy..but you didn't jump off, did you?" She said.

Dale was silent as he studied his thoughts and emotions. Why did I decide to try to jump? He wondered.

"The reason is simple. You foster cowardiceness. Your not letting yourself grow. You haven't been for the past ten years." She said.

Dale was confused by that. What did growth have to do with this? He wondered.

"What do you mean?" Dale asked.

"When things get tough, you bail. You're not looking the boogeyman in the face, Dale. You must feel pain and discomfort to grow. Stop protecting and justifying your cowardly actions." She said.

Dale couldn't even look her in the eyes anymore. He felt utterly guilty. It was true and he knew it. Most of his humiliating moments in life had occured out of fear. But he was too embarrased to admit that, he couldn't admit it.

An angel appeared beside the woman. It had multiple wings and he looked like a man.

"As a witness, here I proclaim the truth." The angel said.

"At the age of five, Dale Oliver secluded himself in cowardly motives. He did not speak to his classmates and thus grew the seed of isolation. In this seed, he thought people hated him." The angel said.

The angel turned the page.

"At the age of Eleven, Dale Oliver asked a girl on a date. Being pridefully entitled to an easy relationship. He bailed when she said no. This could have been avoided if he wasn't full of pride." The angel said.

Dale felt his face burning with shame. He remembered that day very well. Although it wasn't his only attempt at getting a girlfreind. It did leave a bitterness in him.

"At the age of sixteen, Dale was caught stealing at school. This increased his caution and excellerated his perfectionism. Increasing his pride into self rightious arrogance. The birth of sloth!" The angel continued.

This God and angel actually took his life seriously when even he didn't at times. In a way, he felt like he was a clown. As if his life didn't matter.

"You're right. I suck. I'm a crappy person." Dale fell to his kneese.

"The moment when things get rough, I just wanna scream. I don't wanna suffer anymore..I don't want to be alone anymore. Maybe if I had a wife, I'd change." Dale cried.

"You fool! It's because you lack commitment that I never allowed you to have a wife." The woman's voice was loud now.

Those words peirced like a sword. It had been her choice all along?

A mirror appeared before Dale. He saw himself in it. Red eyed man who had just cried. Now that he thought of it, he hadn't cried since he was nine years old. It was almost an alien sight to him.

"In your weakness. My strength is made perfect." The woman's voice was now calm.

She kneeled beside Dale and put her arms around him. He had been expecting more judgement, but not this.

"I love you Dale..I saw you when you were born. How red your face was when the doctor held you. The isolation and loneliness you suffered through the years." She said.

She pushed him away and held his shoulders. Looking at him right in the eyes.

"Look at me." She said.

Dale looked at her perfect face.

"I've given you enough to have some resolve. When you wake up. There are things you can do. You can quit and die, or you can think and fight. If you die. I'll be here waiting for you. Because no matter what happens. I love you Dale. So much." She smiled. The vibes he got were like a mother smiling at her son.

Dale awoke to the sound of a buzzing sound. His eyes opened, but he couldn't move. He looked wildly around the room. The alien bastards had started their tests again except. What he saw was the most degrading thing they could do to him. This wasn't a test and Dale started screaming. Right above his chest was a glass like tank full of his bowels. His stomach was cut wide open, but not bleeding.

Dale began to panic. The aliens were pulling more out and dancing casually to some weird music.

Then he remembered the God ladie's advice. Think! It only took him a few seconds to remember the third wish.

"I wish I was the strongest warrior in the universe!" He wanted to say that, but only moaning came out of his mouth. But it worked, at least he thought so. He felt strength returning to his body. Then something large wrapped around him in an instant. Everything went dark.

A few seconds later, he regained his sight. The first thing he noted was the aliens all running for the door. He still saw the glass with his guts. That made him hesitate for a second. Would he die soon without them? He felt fine. His belly felt repaired. All he could do was assume the third wish reset him.

"You bastards killed Senko…" Dale said as he studied his hands. His voice now sounded monsterous. He was wearing even larger armor than before. It so heavy that the bed had callapsed at some point. The door began to slowly open. The sides of the door released a spray of some kind. Possibly some kind of disinfectanting protocal. Dale punched the alien in the back and it was squished into a gory mess. Each step made a thudding sound.

"What the fuck were you doing to me?" Dale asked.

The alien spoke, but Dale didn't know what it was saying.

"Dale? Are you alive?" Zilla spoke through telepathy.

Dale slammed the alien into the wall.

"Zilla? Are you all O.K?" Dale said before tears began to run down his face. He didn't know how he did it, but he felt his face and another face at the same time. As if he was two people at the same time. Dale touched his helmet to confirm his theory and the feeling of his claws was there. That confirmed his nerves and sense of sight were linked to his armor.

"Yes. We're all O.K. The two robots stopped moving." Zilla said.

"What about….what about Senko?" Dale asked fearfully.

"She's fine too." Zilla said.

Dale wanted to ask how, but he had other matters to worry about.

"Where the Hell am I?" Dale asked as he stepped through the door.

"You were taken up to their ship..you should still be there." Zilla said.

The halls looked simple in design. Almost similar to a hospitals, except with weird tech every now and then.

Dale noticed his reflection on a window. His new armor looked like a beetle to some degree. The eyes looked like wasps eyes. It wasn't as cool as the armor before though.

The God lady did say this stuff came from other versions of Earth. Possibly other branches of time. Dale wasn't too big on that, but anime did give him a basic understanding.

"I might not make it back..I'm sorry if I don't" Dale said.

As he walked on, he saw armored aliens block his path. At the center was the alien thag stole his first armor. He saw the same visor and the ghostly gauntlets. Dale got into a tackling stance. The alien shot a plasma whip at him, it attached to Dales shoulder and he felt the burn. Then he broke into a tackling sprint.

"Die you saddistic bastards!" Dale shouted as he broke through their barracade. The remaining aliens fired lazers at him. Each shot actually left massive holes in him. The pain was agitating and blood began to gush. Dale then swunh again. The aliens bodies cracked like twigs and they were dead.

Dale looked down at his wound.

"It closed.." He said in awe.

The wound had healed so quickly. One of the aliens began to move. Dragging itself along the ground. Dale stepped on its leg and it crunched. It was the alien that stole his armor. The same one that mocked him with it.

"Don't you just love it when someone humiliates you?" Dale grabbed it by the head and picked it up.

"How did you bastards even evolve? Without knowing any kind of sympathy? Maybe you love pain…you think we love pain too?" Dale broke its wrist with his free hand. It yelled in pain.

"You want more? You love pain, dontcha?" Dale said.

"Thats enough." A girls voice said.

"Who's there?" Dale studied the hall, but it was evacuated. A red light began to flash on the edges of the walls.

Then he saw a young girl standing among the dead aliens. She had long twin tails and a white dress.

"My name is Scarlet..I am now you, and You are now me." She said with a longing smile.

"What do you mean? I'm Dale..I'm not you. Look. How did you get on this ship." Dale said.

She must be mentally ill. Maybe the aliens had done something to her head. Dale frowned and dropped the alien. He was about to grab the girl by the arm, but his hand went right through it.

Dale's heart began to pound. Maybe the aliens had done something. An illusion, a hologram perhapes? He stared at the girl in terror and then decided to ignore her. He made his way through multiple hallways and rooms. Often times having to break through doors. It was similar to that secret Arizona base on Earth.

He punched the door. It was thicker and larger than the others before. If there was any sign of progress. This would be it. He needed to escape, even if it meant breaking out through the walls.

The door opened. A large hangar was visable. Dozens and hundreds of ships were orginized in rows. In the distance, he could see dozens of giant robots. A few being constructed and others deploy ready. This area alone was miles wide. Possibly the size of a whole state. Dale's eyes widened at the sight and what it meant. There was no hope, no way in Hell they could win. Especially if the aliens decided to invade. The kaiju attacks were their way of toying with them. It must be.

"Oh, God. You said you delivered them to us, but it looks like we are going to lose to them." Dale whispered.
