Adeline's POV~
My mind was overwhelmed with perplexity and incredulity. The sane part of me was telling me that it was not possible but my eyes and heart were asking me the dreadful question. 'What if'
"Hey…do you have anything to eat?" I was snapped out of my internal battle by Arsenio's voice, he looked so fresh after his shower, Luke's sweats fit him at all the right places.
Luke was my ex-boyfriend. We met each other at the uni, before him, I had never dated anyone. We had an ugly breakup three months ago. I focused back on Arsenio as he is moving from one foot to another and rubbing the back of his neck in awkwardness.
"Um… you're staring at me," he pointed out.
"Pardon?" I blinked once, twice and I came back to my reality. I was zoning out since I saw that news, maybe it was someone else with a similar physique as Arsenios'.
"You're staring. I asked you if you have anything to eat." He scrutinized his gaze at me like he was dealing with a toddler who couldn't understand his words.
"Sorry, I do have some leftover spaghetti from last night. I'll heat it for you." I told him and made my way to the kitchen. I took the spaghetti from the fridge and put it in the oven and set the timer.
"You look so dazed." He declared, "Is something bothering you?" he frowned.
"Nope!" I told him by popping the 'P'
"Let's talk about you, who are you?" I asked him, cutting the chase for which he raised his eyebrows at me.
"I told you before that I'm the prince of Lympia and I'm from a different realm." He sighed. I crossed my arms under my breast and rested the side of my hips at the kitchen counter.
"So… if you are from a different realm, why are you here?" I inquired and at the same time, the timer went off, I wore my gloves and took the spaghetti out of the oven, and set it on the counter. I took two plates and set them in front of the chair. I was setting up the table but I can hear him move behind me.
"I was forced to come here in search of a bride because no one is willing to marry their daughters to me because of my player reputation, well… that's what my parents told." He answered behind me; I could feel his hot breath behind my neck causing a chill to run down my spine. I turned around to come face to chest with him. I gasped at our close contact and looked up at him. There was a slight smirk at the corner of his lips, he bent close to my height and brought his face closer to my neck, I didn't dare to breathe.
"Can I eat now?" he whispered and pulled away, I was speechless.
"Idiot" I muttered under my breath and walked from the room with flushed cheeks, I could hear him chuckle at my flustered face.
I went into the bathroom and splashed some water to cool down my face. I did my business and I wrapped my robe on top of my pajamas and made my way to the kitchen.
"What is the black box, here?"Arsenio asked with curiosity evident in his voice. He was pointing at the television. Is he for real?
I decided to answer him anyway, "It's called a TV which is a short form for television", I told him and switched on the television, Gossip girl was playing and he looked astonished.
"Damn!" He cursed and tried to touch the screen.
"What are you doing?"
"How is she in there?" he looked amused.
"It's just a video of those people, there is no one inside there," I explained to him about what a TV is, and taught him to operate the remote, he nodded at me with an unsure face, like he was learning about it for the first time.
He settled on my couch and watched the television, while I had my cereals for breakfast. He looked like a curious child, exploring the contemporary world for the first time. After that, I got dressed up in my leggings and a sweater to go out for grocery shopping.
"Are you going somewhere?" he asked me without taking his eyes off the screen.
"Yeah, I'm going grocery shopping and you're joining me," I told him as I put on my sneakers.
"Really? You want me to come with you." He snapped his head in my direction with shimmering eyes.
"Don't get so excited, I don't want you to rob my home while I was gone." I hardly knew the man. I was not going to be a dumb bitch and leave a stranger in my apartment. The one thing that I learned from this world is to be prepared than sorry.
"Ouch! You hurt my heart, Kitten." He held onto his chest and made his way to me.
"Don't call me that!" I told him sternly. He kept on walking, backing me to the corner, and rested both his palms against the wall, caging me. He brought his face closer to mine that our nose was touching each other.
"Like, what?" he whispered, my gaze fell on his luscious lips, it looks so plump and supple. I shook my head and looked into his eyes, shit! He saw me gazing at his lips. He gave me that sexy smirk. Damn my traitorous body!
"Ki..k..kitten?" I stuttered and he chuckled at me. I pushed him by his chest but he didn't move an inch, it was like trying to move a mountain. He took pity on me and moved away from me to save my further embarrassment but his smirk never falters.
"Okay, Kitten!" he chuckled.
"Shut up!" I hit his chest and covered my cheeks with both my palms which were sure as red as a tomato. He laughed his way out of my apartment as I locked it behind us.
"What is your name?" he asked me. Then I realized that I had never given him my name all this time.
"Adeline," I responded.
"Adeline…" I hear him testing my name and muttering something along 'I like it' under his breath but I was not sure.
We both made our way out of my apartment building to my red mustang which is secondhand, but it works just fine.
As I drove, Arsenio looked out the rolled-down window by his side with bewilderment. I occasionally took a glance at his face while keeping an eye on the road. The wind passed through his blond hair, making him surreal. He is one hell of a beautiful creature, even though I was not going to admit it in front of him. If Greek gods were here right now, he would be one of them.
"Adeline, what is this place called?" he asked me without taking his eyes off the passing buildings.
"We are in the state of Washington DC and this place is called Seattle," I responded and pulled through the driveway of the parking lot.

Arsenio's pov~
This place was so different from mine, there was magic everywhere like it was a normal thing. Back in my realm, only a few could do magic but here I saw a bunch of people's way of living through that small black box called teivision, and this carriage was moving forward without the help of any animals. These people were so fascinating and I think I could use the help of Adeline to get back to my realm with the help of her magical tools since I couldn't use mine here. I should probably talk about it later.
She pulled over her red, weird-looking carriage on space and the carriage made some weird noise and shut down.
"Welcome to Wal-Mart, sweetie" she chirped and climbed down the carriage with a soft smile. Her smile lightens up her entire face like a star lightens up the dark sky. She was a beauty, indeed.

We both went into this weird-looking place with many people and aisles stacked with packed items, vegetables, fruits, meat, and so on. I think this was the marketplace of this realm. I followed Adeline's petite figure.
She grabbed some vegetables, packed meat into the basket. I had no idea about most of the things that she seized; it was wrapped in a colorful shiny-looking sheet.
"So… is Wamalt like a market of your realm?" I asked her as I scanned the area. Some of the females giggled at me as I walked past them. I gave them a polite nod.
"Do you mean Wal-Mart?" I nodded my head.
"Yeah…something like that…shit! Is that Luke?" she looked alarmed and hid behind me.
"What are you doing? Are you in danger?" I shifted to my war mode, ready to crush the scoundrel that dares to hurt a female. In my kingdom hurting a female without a proper reason was punishable by death.
