"He's in love with you, Ava."
"Don't be ridiculous. Him loving me? That's the most absurd thing I've heard in my whole life..." the said girl scoffed at her friend's ridiculous assumption. "I'll believe you if you say he likes me. I think so too. But, love? That's too far-fetched."
"I don't think so. You're so much more than a mere tool to keep his position, Ava. You should try to believe in him more. You love him, don't you? Then, make it work because no matter how sad I am to let you go, I'll be very happy to see you find your happiness."
There was a long silence between the two of them. Only the sound of the fan was heard in the house until Ava nodded her head, deciding to go with her friend's suggestion. She has been a very good friend to me for the past few years but she knew absolutely nothing about me. Would telling her that I used to be a heartless and merciless killer be something good for her? What if she becomes scared of her? Or even worse, hate her?
