"Well, look who decided to finally show up," Alex spoke as soon as Ava stepped into his office. He was sitting behind a five-foot-long desk with his feet on the desk, staring at her with a clear displeased expression. She smiled sheepishly as she closed the door behind her and slowly making her way towards him. "I'm sorry. I promised to spend time with you…" she trailed off, touching her nape awkwardly, trying to find a reasonable excuse to tell the sulking man in front of her. He took his legs off the desk and turned his chair around to face her. Knowing that he could never stay mad at her for long, he let out a long sigh and wrapped an arm around her waist to pull her closer.
"It's fine. I was doing some work when you were gone. Did you have fun?" He spoke as her arms naturally went around his neck. "Yup. I just realized that I had forgotten how fun it is to train. I just lost track of time."
