Zaiden's thoughts were still revolving around the notification of dropped attunement. It was highly unusual for a vampire to lose his power level out of nowhere. Zaiden's negligence brought him to the particular day of the loss.
Laying on the bed in the same ward Zaiden stared at the roof, chatting was audible enough to ensure he was alive. Zaiden's vision was still blurry which heightened his other senses.
'Why am I unable to see?'
Confused, he opened his eyes but upon Curtis' instructions Maiden had to close them again. Curtis remained by his side after the incident, since the demon was sealed inside his subconscious region.
'What!? What is going on with me?'
Zaiden couldn't figure out the reason for his sudden golden flecks. But one thing was obvious, the certain trait didn't belong to the vampires.
His wound was stitched and on the basis of previous medical records he was injected with an AB positive blood bottle. At that moment Anna and Ellen walked inside and called out to him. They stayed by his side when the nurse tended him and gave a pill to recover quickly.
Zaiden had to stay under observation for two days, since the wound was in the middle of his chest. A human could have already died but since Zaiden's vampiric blood protected him...he was nearly undefeated.
Vampires were vulnerable to death but normal injuries or burns couldn't kill them. Unless they were subjected to any attack by noble blood. Zaiden hadn't fully mastered to the extent of claiming all his powers.
He was nowhere near to be able to unlock his fuller potential, thus his noble blood was no different from the rest blood groups. His destructive element was a bonus, which was unattainable unless he could master it fully.
"You were so brave out there, Zaiden."
Anna praised his guts to stand in front of Aaron, similarly she admired Ellen who quarrelled with him. Anna' perspective about Ellen changed, witnessing her breaking the shackles.
Both of the girls spent one hour talking to him and cheering Zaiden. They couldn't leave him there alone acknowledging the popularity of Aaron.
"I'm sure Aaron's men would come after you. They won't stay calm after he gets suspended, I'm sure the higher ups won't favor him."
Ellen warned Zaiden who had been talking to them with eyes closed. He could hear the noises present nearby and the nurse wasn't around. Hence he lied to them about the eye drops he was given to heal his vision.
An old man walked in the medical ward, earning the nurse' bow he approached Zaiden. Anna and Ellen immediately took their leave, bidding him farewell they told him about the arrival of Mr Michal.
'Oh fuck! I'm in trouble now. This professor has some obsession with me.'
Zaiden waited for him to speak to avoid any blunder. He didn't want to get punished on the basis of slip of tongue. Although he feared of getting suspended since last time he got away with it.
'Curtis are you here?'
Zaiden inquired using his mental sphere ability, Curtis assured his presence by telepathic connection. He wanted Curtis to tell him the proceedings of Master Michal, who was occupied in expecting Zaiden's bare stitched chest.
His body was healing rapidly, which was a good sign. Mr Michal noticed Zaiden was being giddy but the boy was except in suppressing his expressions. A genuine smile appeared on his lips and Master Michal broke the silence.
"Are you still going to pretend?"
He spoke while coming straight to the point of the issue. Zaiden didn't respond properly, while thinking about generating a reasonably explanation.
"I know your eye color changed and you are having problems with your vision."
He knew that from the rune on the ground.
When Zaiden burst the water wall his body got drained of the existing small amount of mana. The act resulted into the display of demonic rune on tbe ground which vanished soon after the black smoke faded.
"I don't understand, master."
Zaiden denied the truth acknowledging the grave danger which could fall upon him. He couldn't trust anyone except the demon, who was gone now. The vampires were untrustworthy and his dangerous enemy.
"You can trust me, Zaiden. We belong to same blood clan."
Mr Michal twisted his words to test Zaiden personality. The boy didn't open his eyes instead narrated the same lie regarding eye drops.
Mr Michal smiled upon his witty nature and observance. He placed his hand on Zaiden's wound, a bright light appeared and his stitched healed immediately. Normally the professors and the higher ups didn't care about using their share of powers to tend newbie vampire students.
But Zaiden's safety was required to save the vampires. Unbeknownst he was the doom of the whole bloodline.
