Scarlette, on the other hand, just observed Ryan as the young gentleman just collapse on the ground with a heavy breathing because of the intense fight that they had, and the crimson-haired woman speaks without looking at him.
"You have the talent, Ryan. However, your current sword form and your body aren't compatible with each other, and you need to work with that. Also, the one you're trying to create with, it would be better for you to create something that would signify your worth. Remember, don't just rely on your sword."
These are one of the rare moments that Scarlette would take her time to advise someone if she saw something that was worth her time. She wasn't the kind of woman who would just meddle with someone's business but there are times when she felt the need to intervene.
Just like what happened from that incident a few weeks ago with Sigrid Anatole…
At that time, Scarlette was just passing by in that place and she just happened to witness the fight between their party and that monster known as Aquamera.
It's an A-Class monster with blue-colored scales with aquatic fiery eyes and has the appearance of an ancient dragon from the legends, but this particular monster was nothing more than a mere imitation of the said dragon from the legends.
'How strange… that monster shouldn't have been appeared yet… or did I miss something?'
As she thought over about the sudden appearance of that monster, the crimson-haired woman shook off her head as she set aside that matter for now since it wasn't her business to deal with that troublesome matter.
'It will be better to leave this case to the others. Let them solve that issue to themselves.'
At that moment, while Scarlette was thinking about other things on her own, Ryan, on the other hand, looked up at the crimson-haired woman with a perplexed expression on his face as he didn't quite understand what she was saying from her statement earlier.
'Don't just rely on your sword? What does she mean by that?'
He thought for a moment and then, he noticed that Scarlette turned around and walked over at the direction where their camp was and before she could go further, she halt her tracks as she spoke again without looking back at Ryan.
"Cleanse your injuries and sleep for now. I'll be the one who would do the guarding for the whole night."
Without waiting for Ryan's response, the crimson-haired woman left him on his own devices and that makes Ryan looked dumbfounded at the disappearing woman at his sight.
After that, he snapped from his daze and scratched his head as he didn't know how to handle an enigmatic person such as Scarlette Overland herself.
'She is truly an epitome of mystery that needs to decipher for me to understand her better.'
Ryan thought as he stood up from the ground and took his sword back to its scabbard.
As he was about to trek down the same path as Scarlette went through, he noticed the tiny tree branch that Scarlette wield for their battle that serves as her weapon.
He picks it up and upon inspecting it, Ryan could still feel the traces of crimson aura left behind, although it's faint but the evidence still remains of this particular thing.
'An ordinary tiny branch yet it became a substitute for a sword? During the fight, it didn't break at all, but it became like a steel as a blade when Scarlette wielded it. There is no denying the fact that Scarlette Overland is a hidden Swordmaster on her own rights.'
As Ryan stated before, there are already rumors about Scarlette Overland being a Swordmaster but others tend to exaggerate everything related to the crimson-haired woman that makes others would doubt about her and since she never claimed nor deny about it, others just only speculate about it.
However, Scarlette also wielded chantless magic spells, just like how she had done for creating a fire without chanting.
Does this mean that she's also a Sorcerer?
As he thought about that, Ryan immediately shook off his head to think something ridiculous.
'There is no way for someone to have an Aura and a Mana Circle at the same time! That's practically asking for death!'
There is a reason why for those people who choose the path of the swords, would only wield a sword and for those who choose the path of the magic, would only wield mana is because of energy overload.
Knights and Swordmasters cultivate their Aura through the elixir field at their center where the energy could gather through immense body training.
Mages and Sorcerers, on the other hand, their Mana Circle cultivates through their heart as they performed crystal-like circles each time they trained with their mana energy, and it went straight to their hearts.
If one person tried to cultivate both of these energies, there is a chance that their bodies couldn't withstand those conflicting energies within them and as the result, they would explode and die in the process.
That's why becoming a Magic Swordmaster is practically like a legend that could only be seen as nothing but a mythical fiction.
'However, in the history records back then, there is a record that exist about the only person who became a Magic Swordmaster…'
He snapped from his thoughts as he felt the fatigue on his body, and he set aside those thoughts for now and stopped thinking about the impossibility that he thought earlier.
Ryan knew that Scarlette Overland's vast reputation had already far exceeded from the normal as her name had reached outside from this Empire however, there are others claimed that although she is the only SSS-Rank Adventurer, her skills and abilities are still unknown to the public, but no one dared to confront her about this particular topic.
'I don't know what to think any more about this matter, but it feels like the more I observed and tried to learn about her, the more questions that keeps appearing within my thoughts.'
