"We are here, young miss." Zenith, David's personal assistant, got off the BMW and opened the car door for her. The car has stopped in front of the Gale City International Airport.
"When is the flight?" David stepped out of the car, pulled out sunglasses from her handbag and put them on. She made her way inside the airport, and Zenith can be seen next to her, trying to catch her up, but can't because of David's high walking speed.
"Young miss, the Wallace private jet can take off anytime, just tell me your preferable time, and I will inform the flight team about it. And the jet is absolutely ready." Zenith could finally catch up with David's speed. She was slightly panting, though.
"No need to rush. As you said, the jet is ready, then I want to grab a coffee first at the airport café." David goes towards the café, which was a few meters away from the place they were standing.
"Oh, ok young miss!" Zenith said as she motioned the butler, who was facing difficulties handling all the bags and luggage, to send them in the security check. The butler responded to her with a thumbs up and continued what he was doing.
.
.
"Hey Zenith, have a drink" David poked Zenith with a coffee cup in her hands. They are currently seated in the airport café. David was having her Americano, where Zenith was only holding a transparent plastic cup filled with water.
"Thank you young miss, but I am fine with water." Zenith tried to show a genuine smile of hers, but it ended up with an anxious smile. She was sure worried, 'What if Madam Darci came to know that young miss is chilling in a public like this? It would fire me for sure.' Zenith thought, 'Again, I am in no position to say no to young miss' orders.'
"Hey, Zenith…" Zenith looked at David the moment she heard her.
"Yes, young miss?"
"What do you think, which major should I choose?"
"Um.. what?" Zenith can't believe her ears. Did her young miss really ask for advice from her?
"I mean, I'm really confused about which major I should choose, I really can't decide." David's face is showing her very nervousness.
"Young miss," Zenith pauses a bit to clear her voice, "I can't really tell you what to do nor what major to choose, all I can say that do what your heart tells you to do." Zenith said as her lips formed into a confidential smile. Soon David's facial expression changed. She was smiling her teeth out. 'Maybe I was too cool when I said that.' In Zenith's mind, she was crying in happiness.
"Thank you Zenith, I can feel what you are trying to say. Though listen-to-your-heart is a common dialogue, after hearing it coming from your mouth, I am touched." David pats Zenith on her shoulder and gets up.
"I'm ready now, let's go." Saying this, she left the café. Zenith was still sitting in the café, thinking what did her young miss mean by 'I'm ready'? Wasn't she ready to go to Landford earlier?
…
At last, David could rest a bit. The jet was taking off, and the flight attendant has already told her to buckle up her seat belts and press the red button beside her armrest to call an attendant, and the flight attendant left David alone.
David has already told her mom that if she goes to Landford, she will not allow any companion with her until she graduates from Landford University, not even Zenith. So as per their mother and daughter deal, Darci had nothing to do but agree with David. Previously in David's room, Darci called her daughter while she was in a break at the office. She already forgot to tell her daughter to pack her bags for her flight.
"Mom, what? The flight is today? This early?!" David was very shocked to hear what her mom said to her.
"Yes, the sooner the better. And don't you remember about our deal. You will graduate from Landford University and instead you are going to get freed and have your freedom to open up your own business rather than holding the family business." Darci reminded all the things her daughter needed to keep in her mind. After hearing her mom's words, David had nothing to say. She let out a deep sigh.
"Mom, I have another thing to add to our deal."
"Yeah, sure. Make it quick."
"I don't want anyone from my family to accompany me nor stay with me until I graduate."
"You mean, you're going to live alone in Landford?!" Darci almost choked.
"Yeah, and I also don't need any condominium or any house arranged for me." At last, she said it, the thought of which was wandering around her mind for a long time.
"What do you mean?! Where are you going to live?!" Darci can't believe what her daughter is saying.
"Of course, dorm. Why, can't I live on my own just for 4 years mom?"
"Are you nuts, David?!" Darci shouted at her daughter for the first time in her life, after realizing what she has done, Darci's face filled with regrets, "S-sorry, David, I didn't mean to raise voice, but are you really serious?"
"It's ok mom, I would have been surprised if you haven't at least raised your voice after hearing my demands. And yes I'm one hundred percent serious." Darci is completely speechless. She just knew one thing, she somehow had to enroll her precious daughter in the world's most prestigious college, and she would do anything to achieve this goal.
"Alright! It's a deal." Darci spitted out her answer after thinking sometime. David's lips curved into a cute smile. She knew her mom would agree with her decision no matter what. After all, she had the best mother in this world. "Now just tell me, what do I do regarding the matter of your dormitory? Can I help my daughter somehow?"
"Mom, all you have to do is find me a suitable dorm in Landford."
Darci grinned at the demand of her daughter, "Consider it done, my dear."

"We have arrived at our destination, young miss." The flight attendant softly whispered into the sleeping David's ears. She is sleeping for like 3 hours now. The attendant was anxious that David didn't even eat her lunch properly and has been sleeping for ages. One side of telling her to wake the young miss up, but the other side of hers told that it might make young miss angry. At last, when the pilot announced that they have passed the border of Landford, the flight attendant had a reason to wake David up.
"Huh?" David responded in a sleepy voice, "What is it….?"
"Young miss, we are in Landford," the attendant smiled.
"Oh, we are here?" David tried to push away her sleepiness but her face still told that she was sleepy to death, She got up from the leaning position.
"Yes, young miss. And the jet is going to land soon. I think you should put on seat belts."
"Oh, okay! Thanks for informing!"
