"Zane, I will get myself a glass of orange from the water container over there, do you want some?" David asked him nervously as she spotted a container, filled with orange liquid substance, probably orange juice, in the cafe's corner. At last, she found something suitable to break this awkward atmosphere they made between them a few minutes ago.
"Oh sure, why not?" He answered immediately as he scratched his head.
"K! I will be right back!" She sounded enthusiastic suddenly and got up from her chair.
She turned back and started walking towards the water container. While she was walking towards the container, she slightly noticed how exquisite looking the café was.
The tiled the full café with black marble and went by the name "Café Black Luna". She has to admit that the name and the interior design go very well. There were many artistic images painted on the off-white walls of the café.
While Zane was driving, he suggested to her some of the best cafés in the city. Among them, he said that Café Black Luna was his favourite and has the best interior. Seems like he was telling her the truth.
…
(A Few minutes ago)
Two girls were struggling with themselves to park the car in the open parking lot at the backside of the café. As none of them had the basic idea of how to park, they just called out the security guard of the café and told him to park their pink BMW.
While the guard was parking the car, both of the girls were standing in front of the back entrance of the café.
"Geez, Soorin! Only if you brought your driver with us." Ora, the girl with the white Mucci leather jacket gritted her teeth at her one-of-the-besties Jeon Kim Soorin, who was wearing a Cior shoulder to floor black coat. After Soorin heard Ora's words of frustration, she immediately turned back to Ora and bowed.
"I am extremely sorry Ora."
"Ah okay, you don't need to bow to apologize you know." Words escaped from Ora's mouth as she held Soorin and helped her to get up.
"But… it's a Korean tradition… a part of my culture," Soorin murmured sadly, "But as you've ordered queen, I will not again apologize while bowing in front of you, I promise!" She gave an enthusiastic smile at Ora. Hearing Soorin, Ora couldn't help but laugh in nervousness.
"Ahh alright… haha," She was sure flattered by Soorin calling her queen.
Suddenly, a sleek bottle green car entered from the back gate, the window glasses were pitch black of the car. The car slowly sped up and soon was parked perfectly and flawlessly besides the pink BMW, in which the server was still trying to figure out how he should park the car.
After a few seconds of parking, a tall young man got off the sleek, over-expensive looking car and walked to the other side of the car to open the door. And afterwards, a not-so-tall young woman stepped outside of the car, whose face was covered with a black mask and a black cap was covering her head, while her long straight white hair rested on her shoulders confidently.
"Um… Ora?" Soorin called out for her bestie while looking at the tall figure intensely, "Isn't that…. Zane Oppa*?" She said while pointing out Zane from the crowd of the cars in the open parking.
"Zane what?" Ora frowned as she moved her head closer to Soorin so she could hear her once more.
"Oh I mean, The Heartbreaker prince! The heartbreaker prince from the interior designing department!" Soorin exclaimed. But fortunately, the duo of Zane and David were many meters away from them, so they couldn't hear the two girls talking about Zane, although they were loud.
"What?!" Ora's eyes widened in shock, "Where?!" The next moment Soorin pointed out the two people walking inside the café, while Zane was smiling genuinely. And after seeing the both of them, Ora's eyes were about to pop out.
"Ora, did the cold-hearted and aloof Zane, the heartbreaker prince, just smile?" Soorin's words made Ora narrow, her eyes even narrower.
"Who's that girl?" Ora's face turned into a scowl filled with curiosity as she kept looking at the back entrance of the café.
"OMG! My eyes are blessed! I literally saw Zane Sinclair smileee!!" Soorin jumped out of excitement.
"Geez Soorin… shut up. Why are you so cringe? Ridiculous!" Ora exclaimed as she walked inside the café with a straight back. As soon as Ora yelled at Soorin, her face instantly turned sullen.
…
"Soorin, will you please keep it quiet?" Ora soundlessly whispered slightly, leaning towards Soorin. They were sitting at the exact opposite table, where David and Zane were seated.
"Aye' Ora!" Soorin bellowed in anticipation, smiling her teeth out.
"Shhh!" Ora frowned and motioned Soorin to keep quiet by sticking out her index finger in front of her lips.
"Gosh, what is keeping that waitress standing so long?" Ora tilted her head in many angles but couldn't see them as the waitress blocked her sight.
Suddenly she noticed the waitress was turning back, she quickly changed her gaze out of the table no. 03
"No, wait!" Her eyes widened as she heard a unison shout coming from table no. 3. She looked at them with the corner of her eyes, she then saw David without her mask on, smiling at Zane awkwardly…
'What's with Zane, Sinclair?' Ora thought, as her brows furrowed in intense curiosity. 'And most importantly, who's that girl, whom Zane looks so comfortable with?' She let out an angry soundless hiss, 'I can't stand Zane behaving comfortable and lively with other girls! Darn it!' Ora was floating with her thought until-
"Hey, Ora, that girl just got up…." Soorin softly poked Ora.
"Huh? Where?" She popped her head up and started looking for David, turning her head almost every way.
"I think she went there to get the free drink…" Soorin pointed out David and Ora spotted her. Seeing David walking towards the orange juice container made Ora smirk evilly.
…
'Oof that was awkward! Thank goodness, this free drink station is here, or else I would have to die out of awkwardness!' David let out a sigh of relief while she took a tray from the pile which was beside the juice container.
She pressed the button, which caused the juice to fall into the transparent onetime cup.
Once she was finished pouring the juice into the two cups, she picked them up and placed the two cups on the tray. She turned back to go and started walking towards their table, gripping the tray.
Suddenly a girl with a white jacket and short blonde hair appeared in front of David out of nowhere. The girl walked towards her and blocked her view. David blinked many times to adjust her sight, and she felt that someone pushed her hard.
When her sight was back, it horrified David to see the aftermath of the girl in front of her. Not that her white jacket now holds the stains of the orange juice. The scariest sight to David was the facial expression of the girl. She was smiling terribly. It can diagnose one as a depressed patient if someone keeps looking at her. It looks like she's suppressing her tears and was trying to smile. To protect herself from not facing depression, David quickly shifted her gaze from the devastating looking girl to her stained white jacket.
"Um… Excuse me, I-" Before David could even start Ora interrupted her, "No problem miss, it's no issue at all." She robotically responded while keeping the same horrible smile on her face.
"Pardon?" Ora's response surprised David. She didn't let David talk and started playing the victim. David's lips parted in vast surprise.
"You just need to lend me your contact number, so that I can contact you later. I am in a hurry now." Ora's voice again sounded robotically weird. 'Yes, now I can know that who you are. Just a name is enough for me.' Ora laughed evilly in her thoughts.
"OH MY GOD! What the heck?!" An Asian head peeked inside the scene from Ora's side and screamed so loudly that grabbed everyone's attention in the café. The loud scream near Ora's ears left her ear deaf for a while. She blinked twice to re-adjust her hearing.
'Yess. Now if Soorin shouts, this girl will be forced to give me her contact details and her name.' Ora thought as she kept smiling.
"DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH THIS MUCCI JACKET COSTS?!!" Soorin shouted loudly on David's face, "A WHOLE 3 THOUSAND DOLLARS!!"
After learning that the jacket was ONLY $3000 David laughed inside her mind. $3000 was nothing to her she could easily throw that money on this girl's face and would be out of this mess in a second. But the question is, why would she? She did nothing wrong; it was this girl who pushed her! And now she wants her contact number? But why? Nope, this girl's intention is something else.
"Excuse me." Someone from behind poked Ora's back. Both Ora and Soorin looked back and a tall, dark shadow fell over them. David looked at Zane's face and arched her left brow in confusion. Even a few moments ago, Zane was smiling nervously and looked innocent. But now she got chills going down her spine just looking at Zane's Cold, heartless stare at the two girls.
Zane pulled out his wallet and took out a thick bundle of dollars "Here's 20,000 dollars, now get lost." He said before throwing the money on Ora's face.
