Chapter 21 - Chapter Twenty One: Strange dream

Jediah woke up the next morning with a splitting headache. He had a strange dream the previous night to which he doesn't remember. The dream felt real like he was physically there because his body was in pain when he woke up.

Standing up from the bed, he took unhurried steps in to the bathroom to take a shower because he was trying to soothe his sore body. She quickly put on his clothes and went down for breakfast.

"Good morning ma, pa." Jediah greeted immediately he sited Maggie and Gary at the dinning table.

"Is anything the matter." Maggie asked worriedly as she noticed his panda like eyes. It was obvious that he had a hard time falling asleep last night. She wondered what must have kept him up all night.

"I'm fine ma, it's nothing okay. You don't need to worry." He didn't want to tell them about his encounter with that strange woman and the strange dream he had which he didn't even remember.

"Are you sure son? you can tell us anything you know because we are here for you." Gary looked at him worriedly.

"Yes, if there's anything bothering you please feel free to tell us okay?" Maggie was so worried as she patted his shoulder lovingly.

"Ma, pa, I'm fine okay? there's nothing me. Now let's eat because I'm starving." He quickly diverged the topic to avoid further pressure on him.

"Okay then, let's eat." Gary glanced at him one more time before eating. He quickly watch him as he ate and said nothing.

If he didn't want to tell them what the matter was, sooner or later he would.

He decided to shrug the issue aside and continue with his breakfast.

Jediah quickly ate his breakfast and left for the blacksmiths' den. At least that was what it was called.

On getting there, he put on his safety clothes and got ready for the day's job.

"Good morning master." Jediah greeted as soon as he saw Steve.

"Good morning boy. Good to see you today." The man responded cheerfully. He was pleased with the boy. He had the aura of someone powerful and he knew that he was someone great but he didn't know what made him want to come and learn the art of blacksmith.

He sure know something was cooking up but he couldn't place his fingers in it.

"Good to see you too master." He responded and turned around and left for his assigned work table.

While working in a sword, the image of a beautiful sword came into his mind. He saw a man claded in a white armour holding the sword in his hands. He tried focusing on the sword to get a better image but he could not. The more he tried, the more the image became blur.

He was still in a daze when Ethan snapped his fingers at him.

"What's with the dazed look huh?" He kept on snapping his fingers till he got his attention.

"You...you were saying something?" He quickly shot back to reality.

"What's with you? you're not even focused. I wonder why master would take someone like you under his win because you're not the serious type." He spat angrily as he chided Jediah.

"I didn't mean to be distracted." Jediah quickly apologized even though he never made any trouble for Ethan. He still wondered why Ethan wound hate him without any reason.

Oh lest he forget, his so called fiancèe and cousin hated him for no reason. He just couldn't understand what was wrong with them.
