Chapter 24 - Chapter 24: Angry Queen

The king shook his head in disappointment and entered his study to prepare for the meeting.

After the queen left, she went straight to her son's room to vent her frustration.

"Who does he think he is!" She barged into his room angrily.

"What is the problem mother?" He outt down the documents he was reading and turned to look at her.

"Can you imagine what he did! He shifted the engagement to two months time. What an insolence!" She angrily sat opposite him.

"And what was his reason?" He calmly asked.

"He said that he's still mourning his son and tat the engagement is too soon. Imagine!? She was fuming so mad not because of the reason she came but because her son was acting so calm like he was not bothered at all.

"If he wants to shift it then let him. After all he's the king." He chuckled silently and plopped a grape into his mouth chewing with an amused look on his face.

"Do you think he has another reason for shifting the engagement because i don't understand him anymore. One moment he's excited to get u engaged Ana now he came up with a flimsy excuse."

She couldn't understand what was wrong with the king. It was like he was suffering from bipolar.

"Mother be calm and don't act rashly." He also thought about it too. Could there be a reason why the king would shift the engagement? it is what he was thinking...no... impossible.

He quickly waved the thought aside.

"Then you have to relay the information to your fiancée before she hears it from an outsider. You wouldn't want her to misunderstand you, would you?" It's better for her son to tell his fiancée immediately before she thinks he doesn't want them to be engaged because she sure likes this daughter inlaw-to be. She is sure easy to control.

"No mother. If that is all, i hope you don't mind me resuming with what i was doing." He picked the documents he dropped on the table to continue reading.

"That's all son. Get back to what you were doing. Lunch will be ready very soon." She stood up and kissed his forehead and left.

Making sure she left completely, he dropped the documents in his hands and went and bolted the door.

"Hope she's finally gone?" The lady who the queen failed to notice hiding behind the curtain came out.

"Yes baby she's gone." He walked towards her and kissed the side of her lips.

"It seems like your engagement would not be holding soon. No?" She said as she slowly unbuttons his shirt in a seductive manner.

"Yes. Happy now?" He pinned her to the bed earning a chuckle from her.

"Slow down mister. The patient dog wats the fattest bone. Haven't you heard of this before?" She asked tracing his jae's with her fingers.

"Do you also know that that same patient dog can die of starvation." He hurriedly tore her dress and began nibbling on her skin.

"Wait! Between your 'fiancée and i, who gives it to you the best." She said moving her hands towards his crotch.

"You of course baby." He shuddered when he felt her hands touch his little brother.

"Really? Are you saying this to please me huh?" She groped his crotch tightly.

"Uggg...no baby...I...you're the best." A wave of pain and pleasure hit him that he found it hard to take.

"If you say so then. Let me reward you." She flipped him down changing their position. She was straddling him while he groped her butt.

Soon, sounds of pleasure began to fill the room.

The queen went to the kitchen and began ordering the kitchen staff in what to cook.

"Both of you come forward." She noticed two maids at a corner gossiping.

"Her majesty." They both chorused.

"What were the both of you doing there?" She demanded angrily.

"No... nothing my queen." The first maid stuttered out of dear of bring caught gossiping.

"Really? Since you won't talk then you would face the consequences." She said and pretended to leave.

"My queen! I'll speak." The other maid was nudging her to not talk but she refused.

"You may speak." She spoke sternly.

"It's the prince my queen. I saw him sneaking in a woman into his chambers earlier." She said fidgeting.

"And how does that concern you huh?" She narrowed her brows.

"We are sorry my queen." They both chorused.

"I don't want to hear this gossip anywhere. Understood?" She commanded in a threatening tone.

"Yes her majesty." They both chorused and left to do their work immediately.

"What is this son of mine up to?" She muttered to herself and left.
