Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Call to destiny 1

Jediah didn't mind Ethan being rude to him because he never crossed the line.

"Yum...this pie is pretty delicious you know." He complimented the delicious pie he took a bite from.

"All thanks to my mom." Blake boasted cheerfully as he also ate from his share of the pie.

"You know it's..." Jediah was about saying something when he heard someone calling out to him.

He heard the voice of a man chanting some unknown words. He could clearly hear the man's voice. He finally saw his face as he was still chanting those unknown words.

He saw his mouth moving but couldn't hear what he was saying. He tried reading his lips but failed severally.

Before he could decipher the scene before his eyes, he heard the man audibly saying, "answer the call to your destiny, chosen one."

He kept repeating the same words louder and clearer

Jediah began sweating profusely as he heard the words. He was trying to get the words out of his head but he couldn't. The word kept repeating in his head and he passed out.

"Wake up...can you hear me... Jediah." He heard Blake calling out to him but he couldn't respond. He tried calling out to him but he couldn't respond. He tried talking but he couldn't move his lips. He even tried moving his body but nothing was working.

He began drifting away until he passed out again.

"Finally, you answered destiny's call." He was startled by the calm voice he heard.

"You...what are you?" He was surprised to see that the voice of the man he heard earlier was the voice of an unknown being.

The being was beautiful to look upon and the beings voice was as calm as the sea.

"Don't be afraid child. I won't hurt you. I am here to deliver a message to you." The being's voice was so calm that hearing it gave him inner tranquility.

"What message?" Jediah finally asked.

"I am here to deliver to you the message of destiny. Destiny has chosen you to save your kind from the forth coming danger lurking around. For that reason you were given a second chance." The being spoke calmly as Jediah listened attentively.

"Incoming danger?.. destiny?...second chance..." He was throwing so many questions at the being but then he stopped to think when he heard the being say 'a second chance.' If he was right, the second chance the being was talking about should be when he was reborn.

He was startled that the being knew about his second chance.

"You must be wondering why you were given a second chance ,right?" The being asked calmly.

"Yes, I've always been disturbed of the reason i was reborn." Jediah truly was disturbed why he was still alive and not dead. He was burned down to ashes and here he was alive and healthy.

It seemed like he was never even killed. It all felt like a dream to him.

"The reason you were killed was destiny and the reason you're still alive is also part of destiny. In life we all have a role or the other to play respectively.

It is not the role you play that matters but the outcome of your role.

So you see child, you cannot run away from destiny. Well unless you're dead. But you, destiny gave you a second chance to fulfill your role."

Jediah was blown away by everything he heard. He couldn't believe that destiny would choose him in such a manner.

He thought of the life he used to live and all the enjoyment and entitlement he had access to. He didn't even see anything special about himself and now destiny was calling out to him.

"If i may ask, what is my destiny?" He gazed at the being intently expecting a reply from him.

"Good question. You would get to know soon but first, you need to awaken your other man."
