"Nice name." She smiled showing her beautiful set if white teeth.
He stared at her intently to the extent that her cheeks were burning crimson red.
He noticed her fluttery eyelashes and her thick brows and her strawberry lips and then looking into her eyes, she had sea blue eyes. Those eyes were like rare gem stones shining brightly and lastly her hair was as dark as the dark of the night.
She also began noticing his features too. His perfect brows, he also had fluttery eyelashes and then his perfectly sculpted nose and then to his chiseled jaw and also his thin lips.
The man was indeed beautiful. The aura around him was so mighty that he didn't look like the ordinary man he looked.
"Umm so did you prepare this?" He pointed at the food on his table.
"Yes i did. It's my grandmas recipe." She said smiling.
it seems like she loves smiling alot.
"It's pretty delicious." He appreciated the food.
It's been a while he tasted something as delicious as this. Not even the chefs at the palace could prepare food like this. She was a good cook indeed.
"Thank you. Are from here?" She asked as he doesn't look like he was from around the village.
"Oh no, I'm from a neighbouring village." He purposely didn't mention where he was from.
"Oh ok. I guess you came for the festival then?" She asked preparing to clear the table as he was done eating.
"Yes and the heavens gave you to me." He said cheekily.
"Oh please." She rolled her eyes in a playful way.
Ever since that encounter, he began visiting her from time to time until he proposed to her and they got married.
Coming back to reality, he wiped his tests away as fell on his knees.
"You promised me that we would grow old together and now you left me alone." He muttered to himself as tears rolled down his cheeks uncontrollably.
He couldn't just get the pain off his chest. She was his first love.
Even though he remarried, he didn't do it for love. He did it because his son needed a mother figure and his kingdom also needed a queen.
Ever since she died, he was not himself. He couldn't even father his son properly because his son was a constant reminder of her. His son had her sea blue eyes that are so enchanting.
He regretted not showing much love to his son and now he lost him.
He kept on weeping for some time till he got tired.
He stood up and went to his chamber to freshen up. He wouldn't want anyone to see him in his weak state.
After freshening up, he left for his study as he had a meeting with the members of the royal cabinet.
He was about entering his study when he heard a familiar voice call out for him.
"Your highness...your highness please wait." The queen called out to him panting as she ran to catch up with him.
"Speak." He said nonchalantly.
"You shifted the engagement to two months time. why?" She asked fuming.
"It's too soon. Besides I'm still mourning my son. it's better for it to be shifted than cancelled. No?" He said calmly as he watched her behave in an unlady like manner.
"No my king. I have no objections." She gritted her teeth in annoyance.
"Good. if there's nothing else, i have more important matter to deal with." He stressed the important for her to understand that he didn't have time to waste for her bantering.
"Hmmp." She stomped her feet and left angrily.
