After all the bantering and chatting, they began eating their breakfast silently. Jediah then broke the silence.
"Hmm...yummy...mehn these pan cakes are heavenly." Jediah was eating the pancakes like his life depended on it. He wasn't a foodie but tasting the food prepared by Kim would surely make him one.
"Of course the pancakes would taste heavenly. Only Kim can make heavenly pancakes." Maggie chuckled and also taking her glass of juice into her mouth savouring the fresh taste of the juice.
"Oh please stop all the flattery." Kim blushed and flipped her hair dramatically.
Jediah was seriously staring at Kim like she was some mystery yet to be solved. He marvelled at her beauty and those eyes. He was lost in her eyes like he was enchanted by some fairy. He looked at her cherry lips that looked soft and plump and also ready to be explored. He suddenly had the urge to hold her in his arms and then kiss her senseless. He was sure getting mad over her.
When she flipped her hair with her left hand, he saw the beautiful bracelet he gifted her around her wrist. It sure looked nice on her.
Kim who noticed a burning gaze on her, raised her head and saw Jediah staring at her intently like she was some mysterious map. His eyes held a burning passion that she couldn't understand. She looked away feeling shy with her cheeks burning crimson red from blushing.
Gary and Maggie who noticed the awkward silence between them coughed to gain their attention.
"I see love in the air already." Maggie clapped excitedly like a child while Gary rolled his eyes at his wife's behavior.
Kim blushed at the akward situation she was facing.
"cough cough." Kim was so embarrassed at the akward situation. Her cheeks burned crimson red out of embarrassment.
"So Kim what else can you cook?" Jediah asked because he was sure she was not only good at making pancakes.
"Do you need to ask? these delicious pancakes are proof that she's a good cook." Maggie giggled like a little girl who was excited about eating cotton candy.
"I'm good at making many dishes. Not like i mean to brag or anything." Kim said dramatically answering Jediah's question.
"I see.." Jediah said with a smirk on his face.
Just when they began eating, they heard a faint knock coming from the front door.
"I'll get it." Kim said standing up and waking towards the door to answer.
On opening the door she was surprised at who she saw. She couldn't believe who she was seeing. it was like her mind was playing tricks on her.
"Kim dear who's at the door." Maggie called out standing up and also walking towards the door to find the reason for Kim's astonishment.
"What's she doing here?" Maggie said muttering to herself.
"Hello Aunt Maggie. May i come in please?" The person at the door asked meekly.
Kim rolled her eyes at how pathetic she could be.
"Come in please." Maggie gestured to the uninvited guest.
They returned to the dinning area and sat down to continue breakfast.
"You?" On seeing her, Jediah was so shocked.
"Umm hello sir." The lady replied taking a sit without anyone gesturing her to do so.
"Cough cough." Gary pretended to cough to gain the young lady's attention.
"Hello uncle Gary." The lady smiled sweetly at him.
"Hello Annabelle." Gary was not so surprised to see her because he knew she would definitely want to meet Jediah again after their first encounter.
"Well let's continue from where we stopped." Jediah gestured them to continue eating while Maggie served Annabelle some pancakes.
"Thank you Aunt." Annabelle smiled so sweetly. Those who doesn't really know her would think she was a lovely girl with meek character but the people at the table knew she was a god damn white lotus.
"So what brought you here?" Maggie sneered in her heart waiting for her response.
"I decided to pay you a visit and also help you with some chores. I would have been coming along with Kim to help you but the chores at home are just to much." She sounded like a meek little girl taking milk.
"I see. Thank you but i don't need any help and besides Kim is always here." Maggie wished she could throw her out immediately because her presence was making her go mad but she wouldn't want to embarrass the 'poor girl'.
"Jediah you should hurry up so you wouldn't be late okay?" Garry also couldn't stand the scheming girl and he wouldn't want Jediah to be caught up in her schemes.
"Ok dad I'll be on my way now." He wiped the side of his mouth with a napkin gracefully and stood up ready to leave.
Annabelle who heard Gary mentioned her prince charming name as Jediah couldn't help but smile inwardly.
Kim who noticed her actions scorned inwardly at how stupid she was.
"Dad Mom I'll be on my way and Kim see you later." He walked towards Garry and Maggie giving them a kiss on the cheek but when he walked towards Kim he didn't know what to do but gave her a high five and then left.
Annabelle who was still in a daze quickly snapped back to reality on noticing her prince charming leave.
"I'll be going now Aunt Uncle." She rushed out without waiting for their response in order to catch up with Jediah.
Jediah who was walking gracefully to work heard his name and turned back to answer.
"Can i help you miss?" He asked Annabelle who called him.
"I'm Annabelle we've met before...umm you remember...that day...urr urr..." She was surprised when he suddenly turned to answer. Looking at him so closely was so heavenly. He looks were like that of a god. She was locked in his sea blue eyes.
"If you have nothing to say I'll be on my way then." He said coldly to her. To him no one was as beautiful as his Kim.
His Kim? when did he claim her? I need to cool down. He thought to himself.
He quickly excused himself and continued on his journey.
Annabelle who was still in a daze quickly snapped back as she noticed him leaving. She didn't mind because she achieved two things today which to know his name and the second one which she never expected. She saw him up close. He was really handsome.
She turned around and went home skipping as she repeatedly called his name in her heart.
