Billie woke up and remembered where she was. Ezra was sleeping soundly next to her. She thought maybe it was all a dream but as she began to fully wake up, she knew I was real. She wrapped a throw around her and walked out to the balcony overlooking the desert. The sun was rising and the sky was filled with pink and gold tones, casting light behind some of the elevated areas, making it look like a kaleidoscope of color. She jumped nearly a foot in the air when she felt arms around her. "Good morning, beautiful." Ezra said as he wrapped his big arms around her. His hair was a tousled mess and he was as naked as she was.
"Good morning. I'm so sorry if I woke you." She said.
"I reached over and felt the bed was empty. I thought maybe you left me in the middle of the night." He said, smiling sleepily.
"And miss this sunrise view? No way." She said. He hugged her and leaned down, nuzzling into her neck.
"What now?" He asked.
"Coffee?" She said.
"Of course. But I meant in a broader, more is focused sense." He said, turning her around and looking at her.
"I don't know." She said honestly.
"I want to see you again." He said. "Much more."
"I'd like that, too." She said. He smiled and took her hand, leading her back to the the bedroom.
"Get dressed. Let a get coffee." He said. She was slightly disappointed. She wanted him to touch her again like the night before. She wanted to feel amazing again. She finally understood what all the fuss was about making love. It was addicting. She smiled and picked up her clothes.
"Nonsense. Those are what you wore last night." He said. He handed her a clean, fluffy white robe.
"Your things are in the room across the hall." He said. She looked out of the door and walked to the room with the robe around her. The bag she brought had been unpacked neatly. Even her toothbrush and deodorant were in the bathroom. The room was beautiful. Much more feminine than Ezra's room. And it looked recently stocked with lotions and perfumes and body washes. All designer and all very expensive. LaMer moisturizer, Chanel body washes and perfumes. She put on her yoga pants and a tank top. He was waiting at the door to take her downstairs.
Coffee was waiting for them.
"I hope you like Lattes. That's Emma's specialty." Ezra said.
"It works for me." Billie said. "Are we leaving soon?" She asked.
"Leaving?" Ezra asked.
"Yes. To take me home." She said.
"I thought you had the day off?" He asked, siping his coffee at the large dining table.
"I do. I just thought… " she began.
"Ah, I get it. That I got what wanted and now I want to be rid of you?" He asked with a smile.
"Well, maybe?" She said, feeing awkward.
"Billie." He said, touching her hand. "There is absolutely nothing else I'd rather be doing than enjoying time with you, right now. And if I can be honest, I didn't want last night to happen." He said.
"Oh." She said, putting her head down.
"Not that I'm not happy about it. I just wanted us to take our time. But as fate would have it, we did not. And it was amazing. It was… "
"The most incredible night of my life." She interrupted, looking at him.
He met her gaze and smiled. "Yes. It was." He said.
"So, I was thinking maybe you'd let me take you somewhere today." He said.
"Where?" She asked, finishing her latte as Emma was right on time with a refill.
"A friend of mine has a vineyard not far from here. I thought maybe we could visit it and do some wine tasting. And then, perhaps, a horseback ride. If you'd like." He said.
"I would." She smiled.
"Great. Let's get you some clothes for riding then." He made a hand motion and Andrew appeared.
"Get the car ready. We have to run into town." He said. Andrew smiled and nodded. "The nice car." Ezra clarified. Andrew smiled again.
