Sky's POV
I woke up because of the noise of the birds from the open window. I slowly went up to the bed and looked everywhere. I saw someone standing facing the window. I narrowed my eyes to see who it is, it was Alexander! "What are you doing here?!" I shouted to him but he looked at me unsurprised. "Can you not go in here while I'm sleeping?" I asked him.
"No. I need to tell you something but I saw you snoring so I waited," he said like it was nothing. My mouth parted and I checked my face right away. Am I really snoring? "I was lying" I looked at him surprised. The way he says that he's kidding is so not funny to me. Why does he say it seriously?
"What?" I asked.
"We are going to release the news today so get ready," he said.
We planned to release the date of the coronation today and the news saying the princess that was kept on the earth came back for her throne and duty. It might take a day for everyone to know about the news. We need to make sure that the news will reach the demons who are hiding out of nowhere. We know they have spies here.
This is the first step of the plan and I hope everything will go according to the plan because if not, it might be the end of us. Alexander sent Cole to go to the market and investigate what was happening there. At lunch, he came back saying it was all fine.
It's a relief that our first step is successful. Six more days and I'll come home and they can bring the core back.
It's not that hard to blend in this world since it's only the 5 of them who see me often. I still haven't seen what it looks like in the streets and at the market. I stayed inside the room, they bring me food and everything.
The food is not bad, it tastes like what it is supposed to taste like and I don't eat alone. Cira eats with me. We talk a little bit and end up glancing and smiling at each other.
THE SECOND DAY
I woke up seeing Alexander facing the window again. He knows that I'm awake but he didn't say anything and just stared outside the window and ignored me. "Good morning." I greeted him faintly.
"The news might have reached the enemies by now," he said without looking at me again.
"That's good," I said and went up to the bed. This day is tough, I got so bored. I tried sleeping all day but I couldn't. Good thing is that Cira went in for lunch and brought Cole and Amaya with her. Both Blaze and Alexander are not here so it is less awkward.
"I know you're bored," Cira said out of nowhere. I can't help but admit it, I couldn't deny the fact that I feel really bored. Yesterday was fine, I don't know what's happening to me today. I nodded. "Sorry, we can't be with you here all day, we have duties too," she said while smiling.
"What do you do outside?" I asked them.
"We do errands for Alexander," Cole answered and after that, we took a long pause and started eating silently. I thought of something to ask because I feel really awkward.
"How do you date here?" I asked the question that made them all look at me. "I mean, is it like-- sending letters? Stuff?" I asked.
"No. It's a whole different situation." Amaya laughed. "We can do that too. I heard it's way too far from your world. We only date the person for us."
"What does that mean?"
"Two armanians are born for each other, they can't love anybody else other than that person meant for them," Cira explained but I still can't fully understand it.
"You mean two Armanians are meant for each other and can't date anybody else? Do you mean they can only like that person? They can't date any other armanian? they can't feel affection towards anybody else?"
"Yes!" they all answered. It had me shocked. It is way too different than how we humans do it. How?
"Like with Alexander and the Princess' case. They are born to be the king and queen of Armania. Alexander could only love the process and the princess could only love Alexander." Amaya explained, more.
"You mean Alexander is taken?" I asked.
"Taken?" they all asked me. I looked at them and smiled awkwardly.
"I mean, Alexander belongs to a person already."
"Yeah you're right." smiled Amaya. So it means every single person in this place is destined for each other. Just like on earth but you still have to date a lot to find that one person for you. It's because we date a lot.
"How do they know it?" I asked.
"Guys feel it first. Girls could only feel too but guys feel it first" we all looked at Cole when Amaya said that. "Have you seen her bud?" she asked.
"No. Not yet," he answered.
"Oh."
"How is it on earth?" Cira asked.
"Well, people can date whoever they want," I answered honestly.
"Date?"
"I mean they can be with someone, whoever they want because they think that person is for them but some break up because they're wrong," I explained.
"But if you're meant for each other then that means you won't break up."
"I don't know why but it happens often on the earth." I smiled.
"Has it ever happened to you?" Amaya asked. I gulped and smiled.
"No, not yet. No one caught my attention yet." I answered. I never dated anyone before. There are some who ask me to be their girlfriend but I end up rejecting them because I don't feel like dating them.
"Maybe it's because you're Armanian. Wait until an armanian confesses his love for you. If you feel like you want him too, it's probably him that is meant for you." Cira said and smiled brightly. I smiled back. But they said I'm half-human though.
"Ohh coming from Cira who already knew who's that person for him is." teased Amaya.
"Really?" I asked.
"Yess--"
"Shut up Amaya." she stopped her.
"AYiieeeee...." Amaya didn't stop.
"Who is it?" I asked.
"Blaze," answered Cole. My eyes widened when he said that and I looked at Cira immediately. Her cheeks turned red.
"Oh my God. Is that true?" I asked her. Really? Blaze for Cira? What can that scary guy mean for this fragile Cira? Is this normal?
"Come on guys, stop it," she said but Amaya just couldn't stop teasing her.
This is amazing. Guys will know who's meant for them at first sight. And they could just date her right away because they can't like other girls. Does that mean no break-ups or third parties? Wow. This world has no cheaters.
"Stop with that girl talk with Cole." I almost fell from my seat when Blaze appeared from nowhere. I think he heard what we talked about.
"OOuuhhh" Amaya and Cole teased him but stopped right away because he glared at them. If they know about Blaze and Cira then Blaze might already have confessed. Cira turned red earlier. I think they're already dating.
"You'll meet the Princess right now." he turned to me. My mouth opened and looked at Cira.
"Why?" I asked him. Do I really have to meet her?
"She wants to meet you," he said. Everyone went out of their seats and suddenly, Alexander appeared from nowhere. He looked at me and walked closer. He held my hand again and I know where this is going. We're going to teleport again. I stood up but when we got there I almost fell. I almost glared at him because of that.
"Sky right?" a girl spoke out of nowhere. She got me surprised, I pulled my hand out of Alexander's and looked at her. She's wearing a beautiful white dress and her blonde hair is on his only touching her shoulder. She was wearing a beautiful flower crown on his head. Just by looking at her, I already know she was the princess. I stood up and looked at her. I don't know if I am supposed to bow or what. I was stiffened by her presence.
"Yes," I answered shortly. I don't know how to move in front of her. it's very awkward.
"How are you?" she smiled at me. She looks like an angel.
"Fine. Thank you." I answered and tried to smile at her. She smiled even more and went closer.
"Don't be shy. Just act normal," she said. She held my hands and pulled me somewhere. I looked at Alexander hoping that he would bring me back to my room but he didn't and just stood upright there looking at me. I have left nothing to do but to come with her. "I heard you're from the earth." she started talking.
"Y-yeah." I answered.
"Come on, we have a lot to talk about." she made me sit on her bed. "Our parents we are both there during that night. Both of our parents were killed by the demons," she said.
I don't know how to react in front of her. I feel so awkward I don't know why. I also observed that she's talkative.
"Your mom told everyone that I am you to lure them to earth instead of inside this palace to keep me safe." she smiled and I smiled too. "I thank your mom for that but I feel sorry for you."
I felt nervous when she said that. I looked at her and her face says she was sorry but her eyes don't. She's not sincere about it. She looked at me using a sad expression.
"You know what? if I were in your place I would feel really bad for myself." she said. "because my mom used me to protect other people." she said sadly but went back to smiling again. "But you know what? good thing is that they didn't look for you. Why is that?" she asked smiling.
I smiled awkwardly. Why is she telling me this? She wants me to feel bad for myself or be mad at my mother for doing it for them. Does she really have to do that? She talked a lot but I can't care less.
I kept thinking about what she said to me. I know that it's true but the way she says it is different.
I tried to listen and forget about it to talk to her more. She talked about everything and it took us an hour to stop for a while.
"I like it being the princess," she said after a very long pause. I looked at her carefully and read her expressions. "I feel sad because people shouldn't know that I am just right here. I am trapped inside for almost all of my life. That is why I am very excited about your plan to bring back the core and crown me right away. thank you for agreeing to help." she smiled.
"Ahh yeah. It's nothing." I can't help but agree.
after a few minutes, Alexander appeared. "I need to bring her back," he said.
"Ohh sad because can't talk to you any longer. I am hoping to see you soon." she smiled at me and waved goodbye. But then she stood up and hugged me. I was shocked that I couldn't move. But she whispered something "Please don't think you're the real princess just by being in my place for a while."
It's what bothers me the most. I don't know why she has to think like that. I was about to smile back but we are in my room again. I looked up at him.
"Ignore what she said," he told me. He knows about it too. There is something wrong with the princess.
"Why?" I asked.
"just do it," he said and left me.
I spent most of my time thinking about it. He can read her mind I think he knows what's happening right now. And he knew what happened earlier.
