"W-Were you worried about me?"
"Now? Yes, I am."
He slowly turned his head towards me and looked at me.
"Not now. Were you worried about me when you were searching for me?" He asked.
"More than ever. I never thought I would worry about others." I said while nodding my head slightly.
"Promise me you won't leave me again whenever you are angry."
"You know I can't. If you are with me when I'm angry, you will for sure get hurt. I don't want that to happen." I said.
"Then will you at least promise to listen to me first?" He asked again.
"I promise," I said while keeping my hand on his head and patting it slowly.
He smiled looking at me. He continued drinking and after we both finished, we stood up to get home.
"You must be hungry. Wanna grab dinner?" I turned around and asked.
"Nah, I promised mum I will be home for dinner." He said with a smile.
I smiled looking at him, he looked like a kid. I was about to turn around when I heard a sneeze, it was Link.
"Achoo."
"I was afraid you catch a cold and here you are sneezing," I said while removing my jacket. I covered his upper body with the jacket so he can feel warm.
I looked at him and smiled while adjusting the jacket. He looked at me, his eyes weren't like always they were saying something else. Something I don't know, I was looking at him when he suddenly hugged me by the waist. His hands were on my back hugging and making their way comfortably while my hands were up in the air.
"Link," I said with a surprised tone.
"You are warm." He said while adjusting his head on my chest.
"And you're freezing. Let's go home before you catch a cold." I said. I didn't hug him back, my hands were still in my pocket and I would have broken the nose of the person who hugged me like this, but it's Link I can't make him cry twice today.
"Let me stay the same for a while. It feels good." He said while burying his head in my chest.
"If you won't let go, then you won't be home by dinner time," I said, trying to make an excuse for him to break the hug. It's not like I felt uncomfortable not totally but I'm not a big fan of hugs, so just a teeny weeny bit uncomfortable.
"I know you will make sure I will be home in time." I can feel his lips stretching and smiling.
"How long are you planning to stay like this?" I asked, trying to back a bit.
"10 Minutes." He said while turning his head towards the left.
"5," I said.
"9." He said. Now he's behaving like a child.
"6, that's final," I said with a bit stern face.
"Will you let me hug you while going home then?" He asked, tightening his hug.
"Isn't hugging me now enough?" I asked with a stern face.
"You drive fast. You don't want me to catch a cold, do you?." He said.
"Fine," I said while rolling my eyes. I can't let him catch a cold, or else it would haunt me for a lifetime.
He smiled and hugged me even tighter. It was suffocating.
"Link, you're hugging too tight," I said while trying to get air inside my lungs.
"You deserve it for making me cry for 3 hours straight." He said while turning his head towards the right.
I didn't say anything, he was right though. After 2 minutes he loosened a bit.
"Can't see you suffering." He said with a smile.
"I would have been dead a long ago if you didn't have a soft corner on me, do I?" I asked.
"True but not totally." He answered.
We stayed the same for three more minutes. When I checked the watch, the time's up, my goodness.
"Time's up," I said while pulling him away from me.
"Cruel." He said while adjusting my jacket.
"Let's go home," I said turning around and went towards my bike.
We both climbed my bike. The second he climbed on the bike he hugged me again. He was acting childish earlier and now he's being clingy, just like a 5-year-old. I will never understand him, never.
We both reached his home. I stopped the bike in front of his house gate. I thought he will leave but he stayed the same. He was still hugging me. I tried to pull his hands away from my waist but it got tighter every time I tried.
"Link, let go," I said trying to remove his hands from my stomach. But he neither spoke nor moved.
I managed to free myself from his hug and slowly turned around. The time I tried to turn around his body started falling on me, it's like he wasn't conscious. I got worried about whether this idiot fainted because of the cold.
I slowly turned around and got off the bike while balancing his body on my back and trying not to make him fall. I held him by his arms, his back leaned on my chest with his head resting on my shoulders.
"Link?.... Link...." I shook him. I patted his cheeks to make him conscious but he didn't.
I kept my finger in front of his nose, to check his breathing. I was scared that he died, I got relieved when I felt his breathing.
"Thank god, he didn't die," I exclaimed with a long breath of relief.
When I observed him that's when I realized he was sleeping.
"Damn it Link. I thought you were dead." I said with a pissed tone.
He was in deep sleep and he didn't seem to wake up. Ugh..... I hate doing this, there seems to be no other way. I kept one of his hands around my shoulders and lifted him in bridal style. Why not piggyback? Because he will for sure fallback. It will be a problem giving piggyback rides when he's not conscious. Believe me, I tried giving piggyback rides when he drunk, that never worked.
I opened the front door and his mum was the first person who came. He was the only child and maybe that's why he acts clingy, but I never saw him being clingy to others except me. She seemed worried when she saw her son being carried by his friend in his arms.
"Link?" She shook him, he didn't respond. Instead, he buried his head in my neck.
"He fell asleep on our way back. I will take him to his room." I said.
"Okkay. Did he eat something?" Link's mum asked.
"No. Shall I wake him up then?"
"It's fine, let him sleep. He doesn't usually sleep at this hour, he must be tired." His mum said while patting Link's head.
I nodded my head and took him into his room. I carefully laid him on the bed, I tried to move but his hands didn't leave me. I managed to pull his hands away from my neck and freed myself from his grip.
I removed his shoes and pulled a blanket on him. I was covering his body with a blanket when I realized he was still covering himself with my jacket. I went towards him and tried to remove it so I can cover him with the blanket.
