"Never gonna happen. Let's just forget we had this conversation. I'm going back to my room." I said while turning around, towards the stairs.
"Wait." He stopped me by holding my right-hand wrist. I turned around.
"Fine, no need to hug me back. Just let me wish you." He said with a quiet tone.
I sighed and stood in front of him. He looked at me in the same way he saw me yesterday. He slowly came towards me and he kept his hands around my neck and hugged me in a split second. He never hugged me by the neck, it's the first time he did. Every hug feels different from him and this... it feels strange. I don't why I had this feeling I don't even know what it's called, but I can tell that his hug felt strange and...... weird than before.
On top of that, he buried his face in the space between my neck and shoulder. In a way, that I can feel his breath towards my neck and it was tickling. After few seconds, he removed his face from my neck and resting his head on the side of mine.
"Happy birthday, Kiet. I wish you get what you always wish for." He said it in a soft tone. He tightened the hug, expecting me to hug back, even after knowing what my answer is. My hands were still hanging down like they were paralyzed. It's not that I don't like him, I just don't like hugging.
"Thank you, Link," I said in a small tone.
He let me go and I smiled looking at him. We both went into my room. He sat on the bed after throwing his bag on the floor and I went towards the study table. I sat on my chair and opened the book.
"You want to study even today? It's your birthday man." Link said with a shocked tone while coming towards the study table. It more sounded like a pissed-off tone, though.
"It's just another day in a year. Don't try to make it sound special." I said while taking out the sample papers.
"But, we completed today's portion yesterday itself." Link whined.
"Don't whine. That's why we are going to do some sample papers. You are welcome to join if you want." I said while grabbing my pen.
Link thought for a while and spoke.
"I will join, but we go to the bar in the evening." He said while grabbing a chair and sat beside me.
"For?" I questioned.
"I'm throwing a party only for us and YOU ARE coming with me." Link said while taking another sample paper.
"I never agreed on coming," I said with no emotions while shrugging my shoulders.
"And you will never be. I know about you, but please, it's me who's throwing the party. You can't say 'no' to me." Link said while making those pleasing eyes again.
"You sure know, how to make me agree to your plans," I sighed while shaking my head.
"No one knows you better than me. Let's finish this, we have a party to celebrate." He said while seeing the sample paper.
"Oh, now, you are showing sudden interest? You will never change." I said, with a sigh.
We both started solving sample question papers. It was afternoon, we went downstairs to have lunch, we completed our lunch came back to my room, and continued solving the question papers.
We completed 3 sample question papers and stopped, after solving the last question paper. Link stretched himself and grabbed his phone to check the time.
"Shit it's already 6:30. Get ready, we have to go." He said in a hurry while standing.
"I'm ready," I said while standing up.
"C'mon Kiet, don't be like this. Go and take a shower." He said.
"What about you then?" I asked.
"Do you want me to join you?" Link asked with a teasing tone.
"Stop talking nonsense, Link," I said and rolled my eyes.
"I will take shower after you come out." He said while packing his bag.
"Won't that be late?" I asked.
"No, it won't. Just get into the shower. Damn, man you ask too many questions." He said with a piss-off look.
"Says the one who does that every time," I said with a smile. I grabbed a towel and went inside the bathroom to take shower.
I came out with only a towel covering the lower part of my body and saw Link checking his phone.
"How long are you planning to check your phone?" I said while drying my hair with another small towel.
Link saw my face and then slowly his eyes started staring at my bare chest, he stopped moving and even didn't blink. I'm not much of a perfect body, but I made sure my body is fit with all that boxing practice. With Link checking out, I guess all my workouts paid off. I snapped my fingers and he shook his head to come to reality.
"Are you checking my body?" I asked with a smirk.
"N-no, I'm not. Get dressed will Ya'?" He said not making eye contact with me.
"Don't lie. I saw you checking my body just now." I teased.
"Stop it, Kiet. It's getting late, dress up. I'm going to take shower." He said while grabbing a towel.
"You brought your clothes? Or shall I give you mine?" I asked.
It feels good to tease Link and see a pissed-off look on his face. He makes me piss off with his questions and seeing the same expression makes me feel getting kind of evil satisfaction.
"I brought mine." He said while pointing out his bag.
"You came prepared," I said.
"Yeah, I will be out in 15 minutes. Get ready." He said and went inside the bathroom.
I smiled and continued drying my hair with the towel. I took the hairdryer, dried my hair, and got dressed. I took my black torn jeans and on top of that, I wore a white V-neck T-shirt and a brown jacket. I wore black and white sneakers to match the look.
I mostly choose black, cos it makes my fair skin look good and my jet black silky hair makes it better. After 10 minutes Link came out and got dressed up. He wore blue torn jeans and on top of that he wore a red hoodie and red and white checked shoes.
He saw me while drying his hair and a small smile started appearing on his lips.
"Stop looking at me like that. You give me chills." I said while styling my hair.
"You dress up this good and expect no one to hit on you. That seems a bit unfair." He said with a teasing smile.
"Stop talking nonsense and dry your hair, you will catch a cold," I said while giving a hairdryer.
Link smiled and took the hairdryer and started drying his hair.
"Link? Do you think the black jacket looks good on it instead of this brown one?" I asked, checking out my outfit in the mirror.
"I think so. But this looks good too." He replied.
"You brought my jacket right?" I asked.
"Which one?" He asked again.
"The jacket you borrowed last night. You were reluctant to leave it while sleeping yesterday." I said.
"I fell asleep while holding your jacket?" He asked with a surprised tone.
