Chapter 5 - Chapter 4: Why I'm dead?

"I'm not sure what you're getting at, Mai-San," Hakai said while looking away in a daze. "Please, don't involve me with something out of the equation of reality." He informed her as he felt a sudden pain in his chest. "My body hurts." He uttered under his breath, holding his chest in pain.

"Equation of reality?" She said to him. "Then, explain to me why nobody else notices you?" Her forehead creased, implying that she was hurt because he was dead.

"I Uhh-" Hakai tried to avoid her assertion but only fell victim to his lying efforts. "I can't lie to her. Lying isn't my thing!" So he told himself while he tightened the grip on his chest. Tears poured out of his eyes as he crouched and placed his chest on his thighs. "I'm not dead. Neither am I a human." He said to her as his stream of tears folded his eyes. "I'm a God from another world, sent her to protect humanity against evil." He informed her as he felt a slight touch on his back.

"A God?" She asked him in disbelief. "You're a god?" She asked him once again with a confused expression. "Gods are beings that exist outside of our mortal and lowly world." She said to him in denial.

"Then, what do you make of me, Mai-San?" He asked her while jumping away from her hand. Hakai blushed from her soft and gentle touch. His thoughts ran wild. "She's touching me!" He said to himself as his lips twisted. "This human girl has such soft features!" He said to himself while grinning awkwardly with tears specs in his eyes.

"Look, I'm sorry for involving you in this mess." He apologized with tears. "Believe me or not, that's up to you." He said as he headed towards her window. Aki only blinked, looking around to realize that he was crouched on her window frame.

"Wait, Haki-san." She tried calling out to him before noticing his eyes shine in a red glare with a trace of lighting from them. "Please, refer to me as Hakaishin." He demanded from her as his presence radiated both a fearsome yet a comforting aura. "This has nothing to do with you mortals. Forget that I ever existed." He told her as he looked away. "Forget everything about today." He said as a slight frown displayed on his face.

"Tch, I can't waste my time here." He said to himself as he leaped off the window and disappeared into the sky.

"Haki!" She called out from the window wanting him to explain the situation in depth. "A God!" Her eyebrows rose, and her eyes widened with great interest.

"I need to forget her." He told himself as he leaped off another house and into the sky. Jumping high into the air, he felt exhausted with this unnatural body. "I guess the gods weren't generous enough." He told himself as his sense spiked. "Hmm, dark energy!" He said to himself as he heard a voice call in his ears.

"Lord Hakai." Said Tennyo with her soft voice. "We have another mission for you," Tennyo told Hakai with a spike in her vocals. "The heavens have sensed great danger heading towards lady Amaterasu's shrine." She informed him.

Yet he seemed to be distracted by the sense of danger that lay nearby him. "Ama-chan's main shrine is still far ways." He said to himself while he lifted an eyebrow. "So, this one I'm picking up on is different."

"Lord Hakai, please disregard that evil spirit that lays close," Tennyo said to him. 'It's but a Rank F evil spirit." Then, she informed him of the grade of the spirit. "A low grade?" He told himself as he noticed its presence inside an abandoned building. "Here!" He shouted inside of his head while leaping for the installation.

As he entered through a window, Hakai's sacred daggers appeared in his hands, and his eyes again grimaced with a red tail following them. "I can sense some negative feelings." He said to himself as he ran through the last story of the building. "Not here, but close by." He said as he headed downstairs in an instant, searching through the budling with an insane accuracy and speed. Finally, he noticed a mess of flesh, an Evil Spirit, getting to the ground floor. Surrounded by eyeballs, it fed off of a middle school boy.

"Haa!" The spirit sounded with anger while turning to face Hakai.

"Hah!" Hakai groaned in agony as his heart rate spiked. "I can't focus!" He uttered to himself as his vision became blurry. "is it walking towards me?" he asked himself as he held his chest.
