Chereads / Infinity Sealing System / Chapter 3 - Panel

Chapter 3 - Panel

"Now students, as I have said before..." the lesson ended and soon, school also ended. During the time, neither he nor Jade was questioned or taken special notice of. A normal day for them.

"Kirt, are you entering God's Lore today? I heard they are unleashing a new dungeon this night. Since it's within our level, we should definitely participate in its opening ceremony! The rewards should definitely be awesome"

Jade asked me as we walked through the school entrance.

Other students were also walking alongside us, spending their lifetime here as ninth graders.

It's good to enjoy life. More so when it's high school and a whole batch of excitement is waiting for them. Romance or whatever it may be, high school was the start.

"Yeah, you know I will be participating in it - as always. I am aiming for more loregems to get Pluto after all." I answered back nonchalantly.

After my answer, Jade fell into silence for a few seconds before talking again.

"I know you've been desperate for Pluto, but really though, you should give up. Skipping even Alice, Igris, and Zian, you're insane! You really should've settled on Zian man. Pluto's damn OP and you've got a lot of loregems, but I don't think you'll be able to get him"

"..." I didn't reply to his words.

Mostly because I also knew it was almost impossible for me to get Pluto.

Pluto was a 7-star character in an open-world MMORPG game called God's Lore. The game was a massive hit and amassed a large number of players, which, Jade and Kirt were obviously one of their players.

Currently, 7-star rarity was the highest rating within the game, and each one of them - whether characters, items, or weapons, they were incredibly expensive. Not to mention that they could only be obtained through banners.

Not just 7 stars, even 6 stars had to be obtained through their own banners.

Banners lasted for a whole month which people will roll them in order to get the characters and items they wanted.

They had a very low rate, with only 1 in a 100 chance of dropping among 7-star drops. So yeah, you could imagine how hard it was to roll them.

And this particular 7-star character called Pluto was currently one of the biggest awaited characters within the game. The character, inspired by one of the historical figures in this world was a mage.

A mage that could control planets to attack enemies.

Many of the gamers were awaiting his banner and so was him. Since there was so many people going for this character, the game was sure to lower Pluto's drop rate much more.

If one wasn't rich, it was impossible for them to get Pluto. Even with the amount of loregems I had, it could barely be even considered a meager amount to the rich people that spends everything on these games.

...

"Don't forget to log in"

"I won't"

"Then goodbye"

"Bye"

After they had parted ways and went back to their own respective homes, Kirt got into his room and started taking off his clothes. It was only then, that an anomaly happened.

A blue panel with a purple outline appeared in front of him.

Surprised by the sudden panel that popped up in front of him, he stopped in place and just stood there, staring at the panel blankly.

It was only about a minute later that he reacted to it and let out a sound.

"Ah"

After that, he reached out his hand and then tried touching the panel in front of him. However, his hand just went through the panel without actually touching it.

"A system...?"

'Is this a system? No, am I dreaming?' After this, he quickly reached a conclusion.

'No, I am not dreaming. At least, I'm not in the dream I've always been...' there were two reasons for his conclusion.

First, he won't think he's in a dream if he really was in a dream. At least, he hadn't done so before.

Second, if he really was in a dream, this dream was very realistic and detailed. Dreams weren't detailed so this couldn't have been a dream.

"So... is this real?"
