The men sent by Jerome had already appeared right on the time when they had switched the outlooks. The jury began to emerge out of the water, as it dispersed around their feet and the tall figures appeared in front of the eyes.
A hole appeared in the water and a digital plate supported them up and pushed the men out of the water, the portal's existence was spotted now. Jeremy now just had to lure them away somehow to pass through the portal.
[This is bad, Jeremy. They are laced with high tech, while we are just empty handed.]
'Yeah, this is bad Axela but I believe I can trick them.'
Artemis glanced at the man beside him and a grin appeared on his lips, Jeremy was ready to sacrifice anyone for his own good.
The detective had already faced treachery and now did not want to let his guard down, even if it took anyone to serve as a scapegoat he would comply.
'This potioneer is nothing good, I will just lessen the burden of this planet.'
The swish sound of the wind echoed with the voice of guns, which were digital weapons of the men and had efficient working. What added to the danger was there were no bullets rather the surge of energy was the bullet.
'So, this is from where we created those weapons. Fucking bussinesmen!'
Jeremy finally understood from where the agency had gotten the weapons, the players were sent to the different planets to bring such favours.
A few were sent to poach people for horrible experimentation, rest to bring the money and valuable items and stuff to the agency. Everything was executed under a thoughtful plan, which had one aim_ to make humans powerful in every aspect!
'Axela, do you get it now?'
Artemis confirmed if she was ready to face it with him, because they both required to help each other.
[Yes, I am ready. The mana here is getting stronger, it seems the dragon is approaching.]
Jeremy could see the assassins walking in his way, which was unexpected because accordingly Axela it should have taken them at least a day to reach. The potioneer had it even harder that his appearance had changed and all he could do was to stare.
'Come on, Jeremy you can do it.'
The cunning detective was sure that he had to find a way to trick them, without actually exiting the place. The potioneer looked around in amazement when he saw the beings emerging from the lake.
"Who are they? Are they Gods?"
He had no idea and had never encountered such a sight, because no one really ever arrived at Nrutas.
The man had never expected that earth had already advanced in the technological field. The sight seemed no less than heavenly to him which left him amazed and stunned.
"Stay away from me, you freak!"
Jeremy shouted intentionally to divert the attention, he knew the men would chase the potioneer because he looked like him now. But he had to make sure that no one suspected him, that's why he created the ground for it.
"What!?"
The man shouted and took a few moments to realize what was happening. He pushed Jeremy and began to run out of the forest.
Meanwhile, seemingly a crow which had been sitting on the branch nearby flew towards Barthes' home, the senator had left him a beast to keep an eye on Artemis in case he got hurt.
The men charged behind him while the chief commando halted in front of Jeremy, he sensed something suspicious but could not figure out what. The swap of looks had masked Jeremy's powers and changed his voice too.
"Look out old man, things are getting dirty here. I would suggest you to move your ass away immediately."
After saying his piece he moved ahead to chase the potioneer, the jury shot him but some unknown force made it impossible to harm him. The guy had used the perks of the planet up to fuller to make sure he could be considered a super human or someone with powers.
"Stop it! I'm not the one you should be focusing on."
The potioneer shouted and pointed out towards Jeremy Grayson, who now looked like him.
"He is the player not me. I don't know what he did that we got-"
He tried to explain the incident but was interrupted by the voice of the chief.
"Capture him but make sure don't burn his ass."
The chief ordered while assuring the men to catch the dummy Jeremy Grayson.
They advanced at him when the potioneer took out a flask and smashed it against the ground. A purple smoke began to engulf the whole area but the men had the masks to filter the air.
