Skuld was staring at the dark ceiling as she reran every word in her head. "You are special, we can help each other" the voice kept playing over and over again. She couldn't understand what he wanted from her, what was so damn special that even she didn't know about. She started to question if coming to the sanctuary was for the best. Was she really here to protect everyone or did she just put them into more danger? Shaking her head she finally rose from bed just to see the clock flashing 5am, she closed her eyes hoping this isn't another dream again. Her heart started to race as she started to worry about what could possibly happen. Fighting her urge to just stay in bed she could already sense Kevin outside, taking a deep breath she gathered her self and went outside.
As she sat down on the porch Kevin sat down next to her, she noticed as he studied her before looking away. They sat in silence together waiting for the sun to rise.
"You look pale this morning princess" Kevin said finally breaking the silence between them. She could hear the worry in his voice and all she could do was look down.
"I.." skuld started to speak then trailed off thinking if she should even mention last night's dreams or not. "I didn't get much sleep last night." she finally said as she circled the top of her mug. Kevin watched her closely and sighed bringing her in close. "You know I'm always close by, you could have come to me if something is wrong" Kevin tried not to pry too much into what was bugging her, he has learned from the past that her bite is way worse than her bark. Skuld sighed as he placed his hand on hers to stop her from fidgeting, she looked up to watch the morning sun shine through the trees, the wind helping the colors dance off the branches. Skuld could feel the water build up in her eyes as the words still ringed in her ears. "This is the life you want isn't?" Skuld couldn't help but wonder what her life would've been like if she never left, and how true those words really were.
A deep growl brought Skuld back to reality as she jolted up and Kevin quickly left her side. "You ruined a perfectly peaceful morning eka!" Skuld grumbled towards her brother as she locked eyes with him. "I can say the same to you, I thought I had you patrolling the other side of the forest Kevin" Fyns eyes shot straight toward Kevin as his voice grew deeper. "Did you? I must have misheard you, I will go that way now." Kevin replied with a shrug as he swiftly turned and left. "You can't keep him away forever you know" Skuld chimed in with a smirk. Fyn walked up the steps and crossed his arms as he leaned up against a beam. "Not trying to keep him away... completely" Skuld stared at her brother for a moment before sighing and looking back up at the colorful sky. "I have a lead you may be interested in, and from what I gathered this morning it looks like you are not completely telling him everything." Kevin finally spoke, his stern voice brought her attention back to him. Skuld gave a low growl "You were watching us?!" she shook her head "There wasn't anything to hide.. what do you mean you have a lead?"
