It's been three days, and the Plane has grown colder and colder by the hour.
Prim's muscles ached and her legs cried with every step she took. But finally, finally she had arrived at the salty shores of the Sagira sea.
Prim hastily took off her boot's and her coat. A shiver shook through her entire body as she reluctantly waded into the icy black water.
She jumped as the howls sounded in the distance.
Ignoring them, Prim turned back to the frothy water and sighed. Slowly, she continued.
The water was to her chest now, and the shudders were unmanageable now.
She tried to hurry, as Vespertine's dogs were hot on her heals. But it seemed she was not fast enough. And they were so close now. But she couldn't give up yet.
Prim's entire body tensed as something warm brushed against her legs. She let out a breath of contentment as her muscles began to relax for a brief moment, before the source of the warmth was gone.
And the moment it was gone, that's when she realized she was in danger. Her limbs had gone numb and the wolves were even closer then before.
With fear in her heart and bravery in her eyes, she turned to them, a grin on her face. Suddenly, her legs buckled beneath her and she quickly sank beneath the waves.
Vespertine watched through the eyes of her dogs as Primrose fade into the black Sagira waters.
"No no no!" She cried. "Go after her!"
The wolves started forward, but quickly stopped as the water began to simmer before them. "Wha-"
All of the sudden a dragon like creature emerged from the water. And on it's back, lay a half conscious girl.
Vespertine's nails dug into the palms of her hands leaving crescent indents in her skin. "I vanished everyone! How is this possible?!"
Prim peered down at the small pack of wolves staring up at her in disbelief. Then she buried her face into the warm feathers of the dragon. The warmth from it's body was keeping the cold from sticking to her bones. It was the only thing keeping her alive.
All of the sudden the dragon began to descend back into the black murky waters of Sagira, taking Prim with it.
Once they were deep enough that the dogs wouldn't be able to touch them, the dragon twisted so that it was looking directly at Prim. It took her face in it's summery paws and touched it's giant nose to her's.
"Breath now child" Said the dragon.
Prim hesitantly took in a deep breath as the dragon had instructed. She sighed.
"You can talk?" Prim asked rubbing her still bruised throat.
The dragon nodded. "And how are you here? I thought Vespertine vanished everything-"
"On Earth and on the Plane" The dragon interrupted.
"What?"
"She banished everyone on Earth and on the Plane. But I am from neither"
"Well then, Where are you from?"
"The spirit realm. Vespertine has no control over anything there"
"Well why did you come here?"
"Because I was ordered to protect you"
"Ordered? By who?"
"Oh, what was his name? He had one of those weird earthen names. Ben..."
Prim's heart was suddenly in her throat.
"Benjamin..?"
The dragon nodded.
"He...He's ok?"
"He's more then ok. He's heard of what is happening here in the Plane. I think he's found your other friend, Dolion Creed. He's helping you Primrose. All you have to do is kill Vespertine"
"And how do I do that? Her dog's are always after me"
"To get to her, you have to first defeat her dogs. Then she won't stand a chance against you. You have the blade, yes?"
Prim nodded. "Yes"
"Use it. That is the only thing that can harm her devil dire wolves. And what ever you do. Don't let it fall back into her hands"
The dragon emerged from the waters again. But this time, Prim didn't see any wolves. In fact, she didn't even know where she was.
"Rest now, you almost died today" Said the dragon. "I will held you again tomorrow. I'll be within ear shot, so if you ever need me, just call"
Prim nodded as she slid from the dragons back onto the salty, sandy shore.
"Thank you" Said Prim as the dragon began to descend back into the waters.
He nodded, then ducked down into the waves.
Then Prim was alone again...
