Prim found her way back to small house she had been taken to the night she almost froze to death.
Yes, she hated Vespertine and needed to make sure she ended this never ending winter in the Plane. But she was thankful her enemy saved her life for her own selfish game. If it weren't for Vespertine she would have failed everyone. And now she has sworn to herself that she would never become that weak ever again. Because Vespertine wasn't the only one who was being selfish that night. And it was Vespertine who gave her friends and family another chance at having their lives restored to them.
"What's troubling you Primrose?" Asked the dragon.
"Nothing" Prim lied as she pushed open the front door.
The house seemed a lot bigger on the inside, which was strange.
"Dragon" Said Prim. "Do you know anything about these pictures?"
The dragon peered closely at the three pictures hanging on the wall. Then his eyes suddenly when wide and his body had gone ridged.
"This...Can't be"
"What, what is it?"
The dragon turned to her suddenly, then all of the confusion melted away and was replaced with sudden realization.
"Of course" He laughed. "How have I not see it before!"
"Seen what? Why aren't you telling me anything?"
"You...Your an Astral!"
"What?"
"This. This here must have been your home...And...Your siblings" He said pointing to the three pictures.
"No, I'm from earth-"
"Yes, you are. But your parents must have been from the Plane. They must have brought you to earth before you were even born"
Prim could feel her whole reality come crashing down around her.
"H-how do you know..?"
"Us dragons, we have this ability, if you will, to know where a being is from. It comes in hands with importers. But I must have been too distracted to notice it with you right away"
"And these people?" Prim asked, stepping closer to the photos.
"Your siblings. I assume, the boy is Peter. And the girl-"
"What? Who is she?"
The dragon's eyes were filled with fear. But not fear of who was in the picture. Fear for Prim, the same blood that runs through Prim's veins also runs through other children's in the photos which makes them equally powerful. Maybe that is why Prim hasn't killed her yet.
'Dragon. Who is the g-"
"It's Vespertine"
In that instant Prim's blood ran cold as ice. "No"
"That is why you haven't stopped her yet. And you probably wont be able to Prim. She's just as powerful as you, It would be like fighting yourself. Sure you injure her, but she also wore you out to the point of exhaustion Prim"
"So what your saying is that I just have to work harder?"
"Possibly. If she doesn't know that you and her share blood then yes, improving your skills may work is she feels there is no reason to work on hers. But if she finds out you two will be right back at square one"
"ok" Prim sighed. "Let's start now"
"Now? But, it's almost dusk, and Vespertine's dogs will-"
"If she sends her dogs then I have another shot at killing her"
The dragon nodded as the two of them made their way back out into the icy weather.
