It took Savannah a while before she was able to pick her jaw up off the floor.
"Hello Savannah." Rita replied, as Fletcher approached the pair.
"Savannah, who is this?" He asked, touching a hand to her shoulder.
"This woman standing before us," Savannah started, still breathless. "Is my mother." She wasn't sure how she managed to regain her composure, but she allowed Rita into the apartment. "Please, come on in."
"Has it already happened?" Rita asked, looking around the apartment and noticing the bottle of blood in her daughter's hand. "Have you already become a vampire?"
"Yes." Savannah replied. Rita paled at the admission.
"Then it has already started." She replied in an ominous tone.
