If something went wrong, and she lost the piece of jewelry, she would never find it in herself to forgive herself for losing it. This was one thing she was very sure of.
"Conditions have yet to be met." The voice continued to speak, over and over again, until it sounded like an echo in her ears.
"Conditions? What conditions?" Almathea all but shouted in a whisper.
"Cannot answer question. Conditions have yet to be met."
Almathea was more irked than before. "If there are conditions to be met, why can't I ask questions about them first so that I know what conditions you expect me to meet!"
As if the owner of the voice in the necklace was pondering her question, it went silent. The necklace also lost its dim glow. Then, it lit up once more as if it was proud of figuring out an answer, "Conditions will automatically be met once Almathea Bastete meets them."
