Chapter 30 - City Restoration Part 1

"I have no idea what you are asking me for..." Teddy had no idea about building anything. He just wanted to live in peace and quiet! But now…. Sadly, this all came to a crashing halt.

"You have no romance, Teddy!" Yue pursed her lips as she entered the city. She could see signs of monsters once living here. They were probably all out in the plains now that Teddy made them all move.

"What does a bear god like me need romance for!? I am amazing on my own!" Teddy replied while sticking his little stuffed nubs for paws on his hips and raising his head towards the sky proudly. Although he was on top of Yue's head and she was unable to see his proud image.

"Yes, yes, very amazing. Anyway, make the monsters stay away from this city. From now on, this is our new home." Yue looked around and found a spot that would be perfect for a teleportation point. She had never used this kind of magic before and only read about it. But after so many years of studying magic, it seemed to be easy enough to do. It just required that the location of the destination magic circle be inscribed in the magic circle used for teleporting to it. She figured there was no point in making everyone walk all the way to the city when they could just easily teleport to it instead.

The only problem was that to inscribe a big enough magic circle, she would need a catalyst. She thought for a moment as her belly rumbled and an idea came to mind. "Teddy, can you make two boar monsters come this way, and you know..." Yue ran her finger across her throat.

"Mmm... They should be here in ten minutes." Teddy was too lazy to even get up after he had found a comfortable spot between Yue's ears and only glowed faintly to call the boars over. But even if he was a little lazy, he was a big help to Yue.

Yue waited for the two boars to show up, and show up they did. She had no idea how they did it, but once they stopped in front of her, they separated their heads from their necks and dropped dead right on the spot. "Now that is something you do not see every day..." Yue chuckled before scooping up some blood into one hand and ripping off a thick tuft of fur to use as a paintbrush. She then began work on the magic circle. She figured she would eat after she finished the magic circle.

Three hours later, Yue had finally finished her work. Besides the magic circle, she had also built two different roasters to roast the meat of the boars so they would not go to waste. The smell was already making her salivate. She ate enough to fill her stomach before letting them continue to roast. She then decided it was time to head back. But she had to be sure of one thing. "Teddy, if I leave this place with you, will the monsters enter the city again?"

"No. They will just do as I say. I have some of the more powerful ones patrolling around the city, so you can be assured no one will enter this place if you leave." Teddy replied with a yawn.

"Then I will head back and pick up Leena and the others. With the orcs' help, we can get this city cleaned up in no time." Yue was just imagining the city after they had completely cleaned it up and fixed up anything that was broken. Just the thought of forming a kingdom unlike any kingdom around made her happy.

She made it to the plains before nightfall and made camp. When she finally arrived at the orc camp early the next morning, the morning fog had yet to lift. Borkul and the other orcs were already busy working on making breakfast when Yue slowly walked up. "Miss Yue!" Borkul yelled out in surprise upon seeing her.

"Sorry it took a bit longer than expected, but I found a place for us to live," Yue announced with a smile.

"Us?" Borkul was a little confused.

"Yeah, I came across an ancient city deep in the forest. It needs to be cleaned out, and parts of it need to be rebuilt, but I was thinking of making a kingdom in the monster domain where any and all races are welcome to live. So I was hoping your orc tribe would be its first citizens… If not, we can still find a place for you to settle down. I did promise after all." Yue explained. She had no idea if Borkul would accept her offer, but she still had to ask. Even if they did not wish to help with the city and wanted to find a secluded place to settle down, she would still help them out. With Teddy, it was an easy thing to do.

"This… Let me talk to my people." Borkul was actually very grateful to Yue. She was a kind hearted person who did not discriminate against them for being orcs and not once looked down on them. He did not waste any time in gathering up his people and began a tribal meeting. The noise had actually woken up both Leena and Yustel.

"What is going on?" Leena asked as she crawled out of the tent, rubbing her sleepy eyes. She looked around and spotted a familiar figure standing by the fire. "Yue!"

Yue tilted her head back and looked at Leena with a smile. "You're up!" She looked past Leena and covered her mouth as she giggled: "And from the looks of it, you and Yustel have come to some kind of understanding between elf and dwarf?"

Leena blushed and pouted her lip."All because someone had to go give the old dwarf some ideas. But yes. I have already pledged to marry Yustel although it will never be allowed in our tribe."

"Then instead of reporting back, come live in my city!"
