Yue walked into the palace hand in hand with Fillia. Although Fillia was much older than Yue, she still couldn't help but treat her as a little girl. Yue was actually quite surprised at how well maintained the entire palace was. The main entrance was actually a large cathedral for worshiping the moon goddess. Yue could only guess that at some point when this city was flourishing, this place was open to the public.
Although it looked as if the cathedral was taking up most of the palace with how big it was, Yue was in for quite the surprise when Fillia led her behind the altar to a wall. "One second, and I will open up the path."
Yue watched as Fillia placed her hand on the wall and began speaking in an ancient tongue that, for some reason, Yue was able to understand. It was a magic incantation to open a door to the heavens. A large golden magic circle appeared on the wall, and the wall itself turned into a pool of water. "This way."
Yue was led by the hand through this pool of water which surprisingly enough did not get them wet, but when she stepped through to the other side was stunned to see a forest filled with green foliage. There were animals running around that she had only seen in books. They were all said to have died off millions of years ago. More amazingly were the little pixies flying around her head, whispering and giggling.
"The goddess has arrived!"
"The goddess is here!"
"The new goddess is cute!"
"They mean no harm, but they can be mischievous and like to pull pranks. The Omo over there are very docile as well, even if they do look a little strange." Fillia explained as she pointed at the weird looking white creatures. They looked to fit in the palm of Yue's hand and were white bulbed shaped creatures with two big eyes, short legs, and arms. Some had bigger eyes than others, while some had eyes misaligned. They all appeared to meld out of the plants and ground they were standing on. Seeing Yue's eyes filled with curiosity, Fillia took it upon herself to explain. "The Omo are spirits of this world. You will not see them on the outside of this detached spiritual world because they are scared of the other races. But in here, where they are not tainted by the outside world, they will appear and look on in curiosity. They normally will never interact with yo..."
As Fillia turned around to look at Yue, her eyes almost popped out of her head. There was Oom all over her body. Some were sitting between her ears. Others were hanging from her ears. There were a few swinging from her hair and more sitting on her shoulders. Fillia had never seen anything like it. Not even the previous moon goddess had such a thing happen to her!
Yue saw Fillia looking at her in amazement and smiled wryly. "It seems they like me..."
"That it does…" Fillia smiled brightly at Yue. It seemed Yue was going to make a wonderful goddess. The Oom were not creatures to get close to others.
As they continued to walk through the lush mystical forest, more and more strange creatures appeared. All of which seemed to like to pick and pull at Yue. Yue did not mind. She sensed no hostility and allowed them to do as they pleased.
After walking for about thirty minutes, they finally came to a large clearing with a small stone path leading up to a small stone and mud cottage. The thatched roof was well maintained and looked to have been recently replaced. "This is the home of the previous moon goddess. She did not like anything extravagant. She preferred to have a simple relaxing stay when she came down to the mortal world. I have kept this place maintained all this time, so it is clean and livable."
Yue looked around at the peaceful scenery. The cottage was surrounded by a field of flowers that was surrounded by trees. The sun came down at just the right angle, lighting the area very well. She felt the place was indeed peaceful and beautiful. As she walked up to the cottages, more Oom could be seen coming out of the cottage's roof and walls. As she walked inside Yue, saw a simple interior where everything was made of wood. There was a main room which had a stove in the middle for cooking and three other rooms. Two of which were bedrooms, while the last seemed to be a bathroom that was controlled with magic.
"So this is where I will be staying…." Yue looked around and smiled. "I like it. Fillia, which room is mine?"
"They both are," Fillia answered.
But this didn't seem right to Yue as she looked at Fillia, "Then where do you sleep?"
"The cathedral has many pews for me to sleep on, so I sleep there," Filia answered. She did not seem bothered by such a thing.
Hearing this, how could Yue not feel bad for this poor girl. Living here alone with no place to really call her own, it was… Sad... "Not happening. You will take one of the rooms. You will stay here with me from now on."
"Yue! How… How could I ever do such a thing!? I am just a lowly ser..." Fillia's words were stopped as Yue pushed her fingers against Fillia's lips.
"You will listen to me and do it. And you are no longer a servant. You are now part of my family." Yue did not want Fillia to be a servant anymore. She was now going to be her younger older sister! And as her younger big sister, Yue would make sure her older little sister was well taken care of!
"Family..." Fillia choked as tears welled up in her eyes. She looked at Yue, who was looking at her with such sincere eyes, and lowered her head. A warm feeling welled up in her chest. She could see that Yue really meant what she just said. "Then I will be the best older sis..."
"And now that you are my younger sister you will be living with me from now on!"
