Chapter 31 - City Restoration Part 2

"Your city?" Leena was confused by what Yue meant. All she knew was Yue was going into the forest, and that was it. But now she was talking about a city.

Yue smiled and explained to her what she had found. The more she said, the more Leena's eyes went wide in surprise. "Yue, if what you say is true, then yeah, me and the dwarf will join your city."

"She is not the only one. My tribe has also voted to join as well." Borkul walked over and announced. The vote within his tribe was unanimous. They felt that following Yue would allow them to see a new kind of life instead of always being stuck in solitude. Secluded and bared off from the rest of the world. They have come to learn that interacting with other races broadens their horizons.

With a smile on her face, Yue had some of the orcs help her hunt down a monster to use to drain their blood for a magic circle big enough to teleport everyone to the city. "Is this everyone? This circle is only temporary and, once used, will vanish, so Borkul, make sure you have everyone from your tribe inside the circle."

"Everyone is accounted for, Your Majesty," Borkul replied with a smile, but his choice of words caused Yue to become confused. Her ears twitched as she tilted her head to the side and asked: "Your Majesty?"

"Why yes. Since this city will be ruled by you, that would make you its queen, no? " Borkul returned Yue's question with a question of his own.

"Yue, get used to it because he is right. You found the city and are inviting us to live with you. This makes you the owner of the city and our leader. And for some reason, I think the title queen fits you well." Leena teased as she poked Yue in the side.

Yue pursed her lips but didn't deny or accept the way they were calling her queen, although inside, she was a little happy and proud. But she did not let this last for long as she did not wish to become like those nobles. Power was a bad thing and could corrupt the most righteous of people. So Yue wanted to always remind herself of this fact. She hoped she would never abuse her power.

The magic circle lit up, and the orc tribe, along with a single elf, dwarf, and wolfkin, disappeared from the plains. This single group was about to create a nation that would soon be seen as the monster kingdom that was ruled by the monster queen. But this was something that would not happen until many years later.

The ancient buildings and roasted monster meat were the first things the group saw as they appeared within the city. The smell of roasted meat entered their noses, causing their stomachs to rumble. "Feel free to eat what you want. I started roasting them a few hours ago, so they should be good and ready."

Yue said as she walked in front of the group. "Welcome to our new home. It doesn't have a name yet, but I figure it can be named in due time."

"This place is actually really amazing. To think such a place was hidden within the monster domain. Because of the dense number of monsters that are all really powerful, it would be almost impossible to even think of exploring it but now..." Yustel looked around in awe. He felt this city was really something else. "Yue, there are a lot of pictures of moons on the buildings. Why not call it moon city?"

"Oh?" Yue had not noticed before, but now that Yustel mentioned it, he was right. There were really a lot of moons carved into the buildings. Plus, the word moon also had a meaning for her as well. "Then so be it! From now on, the name of this city will be Moon City!" She felt that this name was perfect and would save her time in trying to think up one on her own.

"So once again, I would like to welcome you all to Moon City. It may be a little shabby looking now, but I am sure with all of us working together, we can make it into a grand city!" Yue was getting excited she couldn't wait to begin cleaning up.

"Your Majesty, I noticed a large palace in the back. I will be sending some of my tribe there to get it cleaned up and ready for you to live in. It should be ready by day's end." Borkul pointed at the barely visible building covered in large vines standing tall in front of a grand tree. It was hard to spot unless you really took a look, so Yue had not noticed it earlier.

"Well, let's eat first. There is no rush… " Yue did not want others to be working while they still had a feast in front of them, plus she wanted to look the building over and see if it was still fit to live in. if it would require too much work to fix, she would rather tear it down and use the materials for the rest of the city.

"As you wish," Borkul replied before instructing his people to go ahead and begin eating.

As Yue had already eaten, she decided to take a stroll around the city. She walked slowly with her hands behind her back as she looked at each building. Some had trees growing out of them, but this actually gave the city its own appeal. She found that most of the structures seemed to be in very good condition, which brought a smile to her face since it would make things easier.

"Hmmm… we are back already?" Teddy's voice came from on top of her head.

"Yeah, no point in wasting time. I want to get everyone settled into their new homes as soon as possible as well as begin work on getting the entire city cleaned up and looking brand new as much as possible. Luckily we can make use of the monsters outside as well, thanks to you, Teddy." Yue answered. Her last words, causing Teddy to feel proud of himself. "Of course! I will do what I can."
