[Complete Rewrite of Yue! Please let me know what you think!]
White fluffy clouds slowly floated across the blue sky. The sounds of children's laughter could be heard coming from the prestigious Arches Magic Academy. "Look, Yue failed again!"
"Haha! Her staff blew up in her face!" A young rabbit girl yelled as she pointed at the wolfkin girl with silver hair that shimmered purple in the light of the day. Her words caused an uproar of laughter to come from the other kids who were watching today's magic exam.
"Yue will always be the loser of our academy. Not once has she ever cast magic successfully!" A teen human boy yelled out.
Yue, the one with the soot covered face from the explosion just now, did not lower her head or look distraught. She did not care for the words of her peers. She was determined to become a powerful mage. Ever since she was small, she had always looked up to her parents. They were both mages in the royal army who have gotten many medals for their heroic deeds.
Her parents knew that she lacked the aptitude for magic, but with how resolute she was about joining the most prestigious school for magic when she turned fourteen, they could not say no. They owed Yue a lot since they were hardly home throughout her younger years due to the wars that they were sent to fight in.
But they also knew how those who came from high born families treated people like them. They were nothing more than mere decorated soldiers. So the kids would have been harsh on her even if she was able to cast magic well, but as she was, she could not cast magic at all. They really did not understand why she was unable to cast magic. She could channel it just fine, but every single time she cast a spell, even if it was a simple water spell that made a cup of water, she would end up blowing up her staff.
Even so, with all her failures, they caved and used one of the favors they received from the King to enroll her into Arches Magic Academy. They hoped maybe after being there for a few weeks, she would give up and just attend knights academy instead. Because she could still channel her magic, Yue was perfect to become a knight since she only needed to push the flow of her magic into a weapon to use it.
As parents, they compromised and made it, so Yue had to take lessons in swords, bows, magic guns, and other weapons. All so she could protect herself and get ready for her inevitable transfer from the magic academy to the knight's academy. But even after three months in, Yue showed no signs of wanting to transfer. No, instead, she held her head high and looked down on these nobles who ridiculed her every day, calling her the loser of the academy, and today was no different.
Yue wiped the thick black soot from her eyes and turned to look at the young man who had just yelled out. With a bright smile on her face, she reached for her hip, pulled out a small magic pistol, took aim, and fired. "Shit! Are you crazy!?" The human boy yelled out as he dropped to the ground with his hands over his head.
Yue still kept a smile on her face as she mockingly said. "This place has a barrier surrounding it. Yet you ducked as if your life depended on it. Doesn't this make you more of a loser than me? Van, what do you say? Am I right?" Yue tilted her head to the side before aiming once more and firing.
Van once again almost jumped out of his skin when he saw the beam of blue light flying right at him. "You! At least I can cast spells! You can only resort to tools, you, you loser!"
"Haha! Van is weaker than the loser!" A boy behind him mocked. This caused Van to be even angrier. Not at the boy behind him but at Yue! Because of her, he was mocked!
"What is going on over here!?" The magic instructor asked as she came over. Her name was Clara Rienford. She eyed each student before looking at Yue, who was still in the training zone with a soot covered face. "You blew it up again!? Alright, come back so the others can take their tests."
Clara sighed and walked over to Yue, who just stepped out of the training area, took her robe, and wiped the soot off her face. "Why don't you just listen to your parents? I heard you excel in all manners of magic knight weapons."
"No! I will be like my parents and become a mage worthy of praise. It has always been my dream. I will not give it up now." Yue stubbornly replied. She would not give up her dream. She will overcome her inability to cast magic. She had to. Otherwise, what was she supposed to do with her childhood dreams? She could not just throw them away. Dreams were just that, dreams. They were things you strived for. She would never stop until she achieved them. That was why no matter how much she was laughed at or how much she was made fun of and bullied, she would always work towards her dreams.
Sighing, Clara had to give it to Yue. Her determination was real. "Alright, I will try to research ways for you to cast magic for now. But I am sorry I will have to fail you for this exam."
Yue shook her head and smiled. "That is what is right. I did fail to cast even the simplest of spells after all. Now, if you excuse me, there is a certain count's son that needs his butt kicked and a daughter of the king who needs her butt spanked."
Clara chuckled and waved her off. "Just don't go overboard, or you will be disciplined!"
"I know!" Yue waved as she ran off towards the other students. Her words were loud and clear to those who were watching, and those who she was speaking about quickly retreated to the back of the crowd of students. Yue did not care for status. If you tried to bully her, she would not let it go, which was why most did so when they were in places where fighting was not allowed. But unfortunately, today was exam day, and a few people had forgotten this fact.
Seconds later, a yell came from the crowd. "Yue! I am the seventh princess of Seris! My father is king! Ouch! My butt!"
"I said I was going to spank you, Princess, so I am now spanking you. You should know more than anyone that I always keep my word!" Yue's voice came from behind the crowd. This was followed by laughter from the other students watching. As for the other one who was to be disciplined, he did not dare to run away. He had already tried once... And that resulted in twice the beatings. He could only watch as Yue pulled the seventh princess of the kingdom over her knee and spank her in front of everyone while he waited for his turn. He was just hoping she would not hit his face this time. She always seemed to be rougher with the boys.
When Yue was done, she let the princess go and stood up with a bright smile on her face, looking for her next target. Her smile sent shivers down the young man's spine. "Yue! Just you wait! If I ever see you outside the academy, I will be sure to teach you not to mess with royalty!"
"Princess Venessa, do you really want to threaten me? This time I spanked you over your dress, but next time I do not mind spanking your bare bottom in front of everyone." Yue yelled as she reached out for the human boy named Van, who made a comment earlier. She did not even need to see the pale faced Princess as she knew what she just said made her storm off. And that it did. The Princess did not dare say another word because it was true that Yue always kept her word!
"Yue! Can we talk about this!? Please? Last time I couldn't even walk for a few days! Ouch! Not the face! Why the face!?"
