Yue was not the only one who fell down, six goblins also followed after her, grasping at her clothes as they fell. Yue used the sword at her side to kill the two who had grabbed onto her clothing and kicked them away. The hole that she had fallen in seemed to be very deep and not connected to the other floors. The shaft itself was also narrow, giving about ten meters of room in all directions.
As she continued to fall, one of the goblins used one of its companions as a springboard and launched itself at Yue. Yue sneered as she grabbed the goblins outstretched arm and swung the goblin so it was underneath her and then stepped on its head, kicking off so she could reach the far wall. She then stabbed her sword into the side wall, slowing her descent until she finally came to a stop. She turned to see the other three goblins fall past her. "Gruuuuaaaaahhhh!"
"I really! Really! Really! Hate goblins!" Yue yelled out as she swung herself onto the dirt and rock wall. Once she got a solid hold on the wall, she pulled her sword out and sheathed it again. "Now then. This place is..."
Yue looked around to see darkness overhead which was normal since the tunnels above had no light in them. But when she looked below, she could see a dim purple light. "Now, this seems interesting."
With no hesitation at all, Yue began slowly climbing down the wall. As she descended, she noticed the wall was changing from dirt and rock to actual stone. She knew she had already fallen much farther than the three floors that she was told this temple had, so she was surprised to see that there seemed to be a hidden area beneath the temple.
Luckily the way the stone wall was created allowed for easy gripping as she continued down until she touched the stone floor. "Phew..." Wiping the sweat from her brow, she looked around. She saw six bodies smashed into the floor, some of which were still moving. "Oh, still alive?"
Yue unsheathed her sword again and walked over to the few goblins that were struggling to get up. She slit each one of their throats and waited for them to be dead before turning her focus to the path ahead of her. "Ugh, bright..." Yue Covered her eyes. Although the light was purple, it was still very bright.
Yue shaded her eyes until they adjusted to the bright light shining from down the hall. She walked forward until she came to a small opening in the wall. "Not a very big entrance, but whatever is inside is very bright."
It looked as if whatever was on the other side of the wall had been closed off in ancient times. The stone wall seemed to have crumbled at some point in the past, revealing what was behind it. From what Yue could tell, it seemed to be natural and not done by tools. Yue kneeled down to see if she could peer inside the hole, but it was way too bright to see anything. She took a deep breath and secured her weapons, making sure they wouldn't fall off before drawing one of her magic pistols and crawled inside.
She was not sure what was beyond the wall, but without taking any risk, one was not going to gain anything. She slowly stood up and shaded her eyes, trying to adjust to the brightness of what seemed to be a room.
As her eyes slowly adjusted, she was able to make out a few objects in the room. The main source of light was the thing resting on a pedestal in the center. Not wanting to chicken out now that she came this far, Yue took a step forward. As soon as her foot hit the ground, the light from the object in the middle dimmed and a large magic circle formed within the room, creating a purple barrier around the entire room, locking Yue in…
"Umm..." Yue turned and touched the semi transparent purple wall that was behind her and frowned. She took a deep breath to try to calm her nerves that threatened to break her composure. She knew right now was not the time to panic.
"What do we have here?" A female voice floated into Yue's ear, causing her to quickly turn her around with her gun pointing towards the direction the voice came from.
"Who's there!?' Yue called out. "Show yourself, and I promise not to fire."
"It seems I have encountered a feisty little pup." A voice full of amusement once again filled Yue's ears.
Yue was starting to get even more nervous as she looked around and saw nothing. Her hair was already standing up on end. Even her tail had poofed out. One thing she could not stand was ghosts. Not since the day her father told her a scary story when she was younger and then decided it would be funny to act it out by faking a haunting when she went to bed using his magic. Since then, anything to do with ghosts actually filled her with fear, even though she had never met or seen a real ghost before. But even with this fear welling up inside her, Yue still did her best to stay calm as she placed her back on the purple barrier in hopes that whatever it is wouldn't be able to sneak up on her.
"Hehe… Such a silly child. I made this barrier to keep you from running away. But do not be scared, I will not harm you, but I do have a request you see."
"Show yourself! Why hide and speak to me!?" Yue gritted her teeth. The more it felt like this was a voice coming from the void, the more frightened she became!
"Ahh… Yes, maybe that would be best..." The object in the center of the room lit up and began to rise slightly before changing shapes. What appeared before Yue was a small figure wearing a purple dress, with crystal like, light purple hair. "Sigh… It seems I can only make myself this big now... " The little figure's lower lip pouted slightly before turning towards Yue and smiling. "Is this better?"
