And these heaveners, whose ancestors worked hard to attain immortality, got corrupted, somehow, with time. Though they don't run after money like humans.
But running after power, after lust, after jealousy, after anger, after control is considered common among deities too. Only a few, very few deities actually follow the true path of cultivation and regime of Heavener.
[Too much knowledge. Sigh! Nevermind. As for the rest, maybe next time.]
Prithvi was one among those deities too. Sigh, till Aelin enters his life.
~~
It's not like they can't handle this matter. After all, Agni dev and Vayu dev together are more than enough to bring Ravinasur back to his senses. But the problem is, they wanted to discuss the strictness in Gatekeeping of Hell, beforehand with The Great Deitiness first.
Just to maintain the secrecy between Hellers and Earthlings. So, here they were. Only to get the shock of their lives.
The Great Deitiness was actually coming... no that wasn't the shocking part.. but the creature lying in his arms was. Or should I say the fact that he was carrying someone in his arms, was the shocking part?
Not to mention, the creature itself was another shock. Aigo. This creature was the very person who wanted to kill The Great Deitiness. And here, this creature was lying in his arms.
As if they hadn't had enough shock. The gentle and caring nature of The Great Deitiness, really threw them off-guard. Now, they were doubting their presence in the place, gravely. This is the first time when they have witnessed the Phoenix and Great Dietiness in such an ambiguous state.
Making them wonder, whether they should stay or leave. After all, they should have personally dealt with 'Ravinasur', till now. Then, maybe they would have discussed the matter with The Great Dietiness afterward. As Prithvi is clearly busy.
Plus, they would have been better, dealing with Ravinasur there than to come here and see this Earthly Humanic scene in front of them.
After all, to become a Deity, one has to let go of each and everything, including feelings, emotions, desires, and passion. But here this deity was falling for none other than this Phoenix.
However, humans aren't the only creatures who attain immortality and godliness. There were many other creatures, many other land animals, water animals, birds, which attain immortality, too.
And Phoenix was just one among them. [ After all, Mermaids, Marine animals, Lions, Wolves, Cows, and other land animals, birds, phoenixes, and eagles are among them as well.]
And this is 'The descendant of the Phoenix, who attained immortality' who had attained the title of Goddess, as compensation. But the only one, who had never ever lived up to the name or the title.
What's more, this creature has always acted like a devil, like a monster from Hell, who knows nothing but bloodshed, massacres, and tragic terrific revenge.
~~
After all, what happened to her species was truly tragic. But.. what she did.. could be considered as the definition of calamity.
It's not like she was undefeatable. But she, among all the organisms, including phoenixes itself of The Four Realms, carried the ability of re-birth, regeneration. So, she became an unending saga, to her enemy.
As the Phoenixes are made up of Two Elements out of the Five Elements of Nature; Fire and Water. The phoenix born with element fire is called Reincarnator and the Phoenix born with element water is categorized as Healer.
A reincarnator phoenix with a fire element is required to possess and maintain the water element under 50:50 with fire, to end the cycle of rebirth of his/her own. Though it definitely wasn't the case with Healer phoenixes, if they get injured, hurt, ill severely, and didn't get the mercy of reincarnation phoenixes, then they could easily die, just like any other organism.
Only the first five generations of blueblood, royal phoenixes carried the power of reincarnation, rebirth, and Re-generation. But with time, and with their own will and group decision, all the five generations give up on this ability of theirs for the better cause and contribution to mankind.
As it might seem, immortality is a boon, but only the one who possesses this power knows how much of a curse it can turn into. Because, living for eternity without any reason, or motive or zeal to live could be only boring and painful, rather than being useful.
Not to mention, to generate and maintain the element which they don't even own in their body to end themselves, is no less than a mission impossible on its own. As reincarnator phoenixes were mostly hot-headed, short-tempered, and easy to get infuriated even without any reason. So for them to attain and then maintain gentleness, serenity, patience, and calmness in them was far away from impossible. It was unimaginable.
So, after that phoenixes just become normal healing birds, who were given the boon of being turned into angelic form, in exchange for their immortality. Thus, phoenixes ended up being healing angels, whose tears carry healing ability. One of the main reasons behind the mass hunt of her species.
Gods have given the Phoenix the power of re-birth, regeneration, along with the element of fire, to protect them from others. But the Phoenix Ancestors considered it as a curse. And prayed to the Gods to take this ability back.
So, when they were hunted down and slaughtered to death, they regretted it. But this Phoenix, the definition of uniqueness, the direct descendant of the branch of the third generation of an ancestral phoenix, didn't give up.
She stubbornly, hot-headedly summoned back the elemental fire back, along with the ability of rebirth, reincarnation, and regeneration in her. And Gods, who always give in, in front of strong-willed creatures. They blessed her with immortality, too.
~~
After which what happened made even the deities regret it. [Some another day.]
Prithvi just gave a glance at the deities present in the main hall. Then, he headed back to his room, while ignoring them, completely. Well, no one can blame him for acting like a child.
When the creature in his arms is the most vulnerable and childish at the moment. He can't even rely on his own shadow when it comes to her.
So, after covering her with thin white light. [ Which is on par with the covers of the bed to humans]. He then uses his powers to create a temporary yet fake, Earthly environment, around her.
Like for the first time, in the sky appear floors, walls, and roofs. Turning this otherworldly place into an ordinary human room. At least, she won't fall, if she won't fly now.
He can give her everything, even her former self. But the only condition would be that she shouldn't harm herself in the meantime.
Once he made sure that the sleeping creature was safe, sound and sleeping. He finally gave a few quick glances at her. Then, he came out of the room... or something like that.. as humans call it.
He then ordered Varun Dev[ God of Ocean], to use its hearing ability of aquatism, to check on her. And the moment she woke up, Varun Dev was ordered to report immediately to him, directly.
~~
After leaving the place. He went directly to one of the receiving chambers of The South Hall of The Barrage. Then, as expected for the next few hours, the meeting kept on going about Ravinasur and the way of dealing.
~~
Well, firstly Prithvi wanted to just punish this hell-resident as per The Law of Union. But when he found out, that this very creature was although not-completely but at least partly was the reason for Aelin's injuries.
" Isn't Ravinasur made of water? Burn him in Hellfire for the next 286 years. If he survived, then let him stay in the molten lava as part of it, till his last breath." Prithvi announced in his deadly icy, cold voice, flinching even the deities out.
The ' He must suffer gravely' was clearly painted in Prithvi's cold, handsome ethereal face. His black eyes were filled with nothing else but death… and torture.
If it hadn't been for the presence of Aelin. He would have long left the place, to torture this creature himself. So, his orders were short, crisp, and simple.
He was about to leave to attend Aelin.
But then Aden came with Riev, Raven and the monster from Hell, tied tightly from head to toe, in 'Devastras' of Raven. Even his breath was coming raged, all no-thanks to the unique tying of these devas.
