I get up at seven in the morning to go to the bathroom but as soon as I sit up the room starts spinning. I close my eyes tight and wonder where Elyon is. As soon as the name comes to mind I get a splitting headache. I let everything slip away Once the dizziness finally passes I got up and went to the bathroom. while I'm in there I take a shower as well. When I go to get clothes I don't see anything I would actually wear. So I grab a pair of sweats and a t-shirt. After I get dressed I go to the kitchen to get orange juice but their is none. Then he comes out of the bedroom a few minutes later.
"How are you feeling this morning my love? Still having dizzy spells?"
"Yes I definitely want to see the doctor. I hope he can give me something to stop this. I really don't want to go through this the whole time I'm pregnant. When do we leave?"
"We will leave in about fifteen minutes. Sit down before you fall over. You look a little wobbly."
I shake my head and sit down.
The pack clinic....
"Good morning Max where should we go? I don't want anyone out in the open. If it is Micheal and Emma Marie can't be seen they were at the mall with her the last time we saw him."
"Well first I want you to know I have the pack sheriff in my office just in case. Now how many people do you have coming?"
"My parents, his parents, and her aunt will be coming. If it is Emma then I need first hand proof so they have to be here."
"I understand I want you in the ultrasound room. I will bring her in there first that way I can verify for them. If I need you sooner I will link with Marie just be ready."
"Okay I will get my group into the room now let me know when they get here."
"Sure they should be here in the next ten minutes or so. Let's hope it's her."
I go out and get everyone. Marie and I take them to the ultrasound room. Now all we can do it wait.
Ten minutes later Marie says"Max sees a couple on their way in but they are to far away yet, be ready. Max says it is Emma and she doesn't look good. He put them in room one he wants everyone outside now. He says Emma won't make it to this room. Quietly move to exam room one now."
So our group moves down the hall. The sheriff comes out of Max's office. We are all waiting in a semi-circle around the door when Max opens it for us. I take one look at Emma and know she is in pain. Then the first wave of dizziness hits and Max grabs my arm.
Something is wrong. She seems to be in pain. Did you bring her vitamins? She needs one badly. She can't even keep her eyes open."
I hand him the bottle and he walks back in the room.
I turn to his parents," What do you want to do? He has my mate in that room trying to pass off my child as his. He has made her sick and for some reason she is in pain. If you don't do something I will."
Lady Amber says," He will be punished, he will be stripped of his title. Since he kidnapped and drugged your mate we will let you administer the punishment. But we need to find out what he used on her. Now let's go rescue your mate."
I open the door and walk in, Micheal looks up and all the color drains from his face. He backs up against the wall while Max is helping Emma. She looks up as the door opens and grabs her head. I can see she is in pain. Amber, Ellen and mom come in the room. All three women are pissed. Dad the sheriff and Jarrod are all out in the hall. They are blocking the door so Micheal can't escape. I look at Emma again and she is laying on her side clutching her head. I want to go to her but I'm afraid to get close.
Ellen goes to her, Ellen looks at Max and asks," Why is she in pain, is it the baby?"
"The pain seems to be in her head but if it doesn't stop she will miscarry because of the stress."
"How long do we have before that happens?" Amber asks.
"To be honest I'm not sure she says the headache started last night but got worse today."
"Elyon you seem to be the reason she is in pain go wait in the hall please. Ellen will take care of her while your mother and I take care of him. Elyon I know you want to help her but right now you leaving will help her more than you being here."
All I can do is shake my head and walk out of the room. I go to the door and look out the window but I don't see anything. After a minute I do tell mom," If it helps whatever he did to her as not only blocked our bond but block the mates path as well. I can see she is in pain but I can't feel it. I have tried to reach out to her and find I can't reach her."
They are in there for so long we start to get worried then I see Marie head toward the room.
I look at her wondering what's up. She stops and the door and says," The queens and Ellen want her put to sleep to protect the baby. Max says this won't hurt the baby." Then she walks in the room.
I can hear her crying and I just want to kill Micheal. I walk up to his father and ask," You and the queen are wonderful people what the hell happened to your son. I am glad his mate hasn't come into his life or she might be dead right now. Instead my mate is suffering because he is delusional."
My dad comes over to me and says," Elyon you will apologize to the king right now. You do not disrespect him. I don't care if you are upset you don't say things like that."
"Its okay I understand where he is coming from. Micheal has an unhealthy obsession with Elyon's mate. We should have done something more than just trying the reeducation with him. I believe it only made things worse. I won't hold it against him. I truly hope they can save both her and the baby. "
"Thank you Jarrod for your understanding and well wishes."
About an hour later the queens come out holding Micheal. I can't help it I turn around a hit him strait in the face. He drops to the floor. My mother says," Sheriff can you take him to a silver and led lined cell please. I'm sure Elyon will be by later but for now he needs to be in silver."
Yes my queen right away. Then the sheriff rolls Micheal over and cuffs him then he picks him up and carries him away.
Max comes out of the room and says," Ellen and I have an idea. We have been watching your mark disappear over the last hour. We believe the pain is because the drug he gave her was to remove the mark. The mate bond is trying to fight the poison so she is in pain. We hope that if you remark her then all of this will end. Otherwise we have to wait for the blood test to come back before I will know for sure. Will you test our theory?"
I look at the Kings and Queens then flat out ask," what do you guys think? Do you think it will help her?"
Amber's says," I believe it will work. You are her true mate, her body should respond to you."
When I look at mom she shakes her head yes so I go in the room. Max closes the door as I walk over to Ellen and Emma. I move the hair from her face and ask Ellen," Do you really think me remarking her will stop all of this?"
"Yes I do because you are remarking her. You are putting your venom in her body. It will override the poison he introduced to remove the mark."
I shake my head and go to the other side of the bed. I pick her up and slide in under her. I kiss her a few times then sink my fangs into her neck. After a minute I close the wound and look at my mark. Then I look at Ellen."It's different than before have you ever seen a mate mark change before?"
"No I have not. Then again I have never seen someone poisoned to get rid of a mark before. Now all we can do is wait and see if it works."
