After My nap I wake up starving. I look over at Elyon and see that he is asleep. So I grab the remote and push the nurses button. After a minute Max comes in.
"Did you have a nice nap my dear?"
"Yes I did. But I am starving Max and now I am actually craving the blood. Is that normal? Um now I'm feeling like I'm going to throw up can you please bring me a cup or two?"
"Give me just a minute, I will be right back with it."
As Max walk/ran out of the room I looked over at Elyon who is now wide awake.
"Are you okay? You know it sounds like the baby's vampire side is more dominant. I will call mom later to find out what tips she can give us."
"That would be great., all I know is I woke up craving blood. You might want to stock the fridge with lots of blood before we go home tomorrow. Maybe ask your mom if she can come over tomorrow after we get home, I have a few questions for her."
"Don't worry sweetheart I will take care of it. Relax Max will be here in a second."
A moment later the door opens and max walk in with a large water bottle. He hands it to me and steps back. I pull the top and take a drink. For a moment I feel sick but then it passes. Then I take another drink. It take me about two minutes to empty the whole bottle. Once I'm done I look at Elyon and Max and say," That helped but now I need food. Elyon can you go to Cammie's please I need food now. I feel like I'm starving."
While I'm talking Max links Cammie and let's her know I need food. He asks her to get the same food ready that she brought this morning. And make it a double. She agreed and got it done. He nods to me then he walks out.
Elyon was there and back in ten minutes but for me it seems like hours. When Elyon finally walks in he is carrying a box. He sets it on the table then starts pulling things out of it. I watch as he pulls out two large steaks with loaded mashed potatoes as well as corn, green beans, and broccoli. He puts everything on the plate and puts it in front of me. He watches in amazement for a moment then calls Max into the room. They don't say a word as I empty the plate. After I wipe my mouth I look up and ask for more blood. Max goes and gets another bottle for me. Then just like earlier I finish the bottle and fall asleep. They watch me for a minute then leave the room.
In Max's office....
Elyon sits in the chair Max points to.
" I'm not going to beat around the bush I'm nervous about sending her home now. I realize she has had a hard week but after watching her today I think it might be safer she stays here till the pregnancy is over. I also think while she is asleep we need to do an ultrasound. I'm worried about the baby. I don't know why but I am. I would also like to speak to your mother and her aunt, can you set that up for me? I wish I knew more so I was better prepared for this."
"I understand your concern, I will call both of them in a few minutes. I agree with you, I know she won't like it but I want her to stay here as well. She slept for almost four hours so if the pattern holds I think we should have both the blood and food ready for when she wakes up. Let's get that ultrasound done so we know what's going on."
They agree on their plans then go set up for the ultrasound. Once they wheel the small machine into my room they get me ready. As Max preps the machine, Elyon preps me. I don't move or make a sound as they work with me and around me. Once they get things up and running Max puts the gel on my stomach and then they watch. As Max brings the baby into clear view he whistles."Can you see it? I just did the ultrasound at the beginning of the week and now the baby is almost twice the size it was then."
"Is it okay? Can you tell what it is?"
"Well I'm not sure if she will be happy over this but you have a very large baby boy. He looks healthy. And I believe we should definitely keep her here. We will be lucky if she makes it two more weeks."
"Okay I will get those calls made. I need pictures. And can you set things up with Cammie please."
Max nods his head and starts cleaning me up as Elyon goes out in the hall to make his calls.
A few minutes later he walks back in the room and tells Max," Mom will be here in five minutes and Ellen will be here in about fifteen minutes. Did you set things up with Cammie?"
"Yes she said she would have the food here in about three hours. Let's go wait for them in the hall."
Elyon shakes his head and they walk out into the hall and wait. A few minutes later Elyon's mom pops in the room. They say hi to each other and then a minute later Ellen walks in the door. Once again everyone says hi.Then both women look at Max then he tells them to go to his office. Once they go in the room and sit down Max explains.
"Good morning ladies I asked Elyon to bring you here because I need your input on this pregnancy. These are the latest ultrasound photos. From what I saw of the ultrasound I did at the beginning of the week I would have said she had a month left but looking at these I would say she might have two weeks. I would like to know your thoughts on all of this. Here is her first photo then this is the one from the beginning of the week. And finally this is the one Elyon and I did just twenty minutes ago. Also you might want to know every three hours she is taking sixty-four ounces of blood as well as two large medium steaks, a total of four loaded baked potatoes, and corn, green beans, and broccoli. After she finishes all of this she sleeps for four hours then the cycle starts again. Can either of you give me something to go on here?"
The women look at the photos then they look at each other. Finally Ellen says," We think it is best for her to stay here till the end of the pregnancy. We are not sure if it's because of all the stress or because we are both royal but things have progressed faster than we thought. Elyon you will need to call her mom so she knows to come visit her here instead of at home like they planned."
"Doctor I would like to see her if I may. Since I am a healer I might be able to get something more from her."
Max shakes his head then everyone returns to the room. They look at me for a moment then Elyon's mom puts her hands above me. After a moment she turns to them and says," The baby is fine it just wants out. It won't be long at all. Ellen and I will get the nursery ready for you if that's okay Elyon?"
After a moment of silence he shakes his head yes then they both leave. The men look at each other for a minute then Max leaves to update his notes and Elyon sits in the chair next to me.
