I wake up early this morning. First thing I do is text mom to let her know I'm okay. Telling her I would have text last night but I fell asleep.
She responded by telling me she just happy I'm okay. She tells me she is going to drop by later for a visit.
I'm excited and tell her I can't wait to see her. We text back and forth for about half an hour then she has to go so she can get dad off to work.
I wake Elyon and tell him I am hungry. He goes out to see if Max is around. Instead Cammie comes in with the cup. She tells me to drink it then I can have food. I am so hungry I empty it in two gulps.
When I give her the cup back she smiles then brings me a large steak medium with a baked potato and corn.
"I know it's breakfast time but I figured you would want this more than the mush they are serving here. Jimmy made it just for you when he came in this morning."
"Oh tell him thank you. I love the way he cooks. So how are things going? What's the latest gossip? I have been out of it for a week and I'm bored here."
"Well I have to say your kidnapping was the most exciting thing to happen all week. Then we watched as the Prince was beat by his mother as well as Elyon's mom. Then you aunt beat the hell out of him. Finally Elyon put him out of your misery. After that it was quiet. Then we heard you woke up. We are all thrilled by that news. Now I'm visiting and feeding you. That is the excitement of the week. Oh wait I forgot Yvette broke a coffee pot over a guys head the day you disappeared. She was stressed over you and he pinched her butt and she let him have it. Don't worry she didn't get in trouble. I kicked him out and filed a report since he harassed my worker. After that nothing."
"Oh I wish I could have seen that. Please tell me you got it on camera."
"Of course I did. You can see it after your released okay. But now I have to go. Don't worry I'll let Jimmy know you liked it."
"Okay thank you. I'll see you later."
After that Cammie left the room. Elyon sits down and kisses me. Then Max comes in," How are we this morning? I see you ate and drank everything. Your vitals look good. I think we will release you tomorrow as long as we don't have any issues today.
"That's great, what issues are you worried about?"
"Mostly I want to make sure you suffer no side effects. I want you to try sitting up today. I just want to be sure we have the dizzy spells under control again. Oh and I gave you a new set of vitamins and minerals. You need more since the baby is growing."
"So that's why I am so hungry. And I take it you have started giving me blood as well right. That's what's in the cup right."
"Before mom left she suggested we start giving it to you."
"To me it just seems like it is making me tired faster."
"Well young lady your body is working overtime maybe we need to give you more. But for now let's get you to sit up for us. All I want you to do is turn then swing your legs over the side of the bed. You will sit like that for five minutes. And not a minute longer. Then I want you to lay down again. Later I will check to make sure everything is going okay. Then in about four hours we will try it again. So come on my dear let's see that swing."
I laugh at Max then I lean forward. I swing my legs over the bed then I sit up. At first the room sways a little then it settles. Then the baby moves. It kicks me hard in the side. Both Max and Elyon sees it and starts laughing.
"Um I think the little one is unhappy with the change maybe you should lay down again."
They both laugh as the baby kicks me again. This time I put my hand over the spot because it hurt. So I lay back in the bed and the baby seems to be happy.
"Does this mean I'm officially on bed rest now? And laughing at me isn't nice, that hurt."
"Okay so I won't make you sit up again if that helps. I was going to put you on bed rest in another week but if the baby gets violent over you getting up maybe it best to do it now. Don't worry you will still be able to go home but no getting up. No mall runs and no parties."
"Very funny Max I'm not the parting type."
"Hey I heard all about the wild birthday party."
"Oh yea a chocolate fountain and a bouncy house. Really wild Max."
"Hey for around here that was wild and you know it."
I think about it for a minute and start laughing because Max is so totally right. My birthday was the wildest party to happen all year. Once I stop laughing I tell him he's right then I rub my stomach because the baby kicked again.
"I don't think the baby is at all happy with me. Could the baby be hungry again? It keeps kicking me."
"Okay Cammie left a plate for you in the fridge I will bring in your cup first then you can have the food."
Once he brings in everything it takes me less then ten minutes to finish it. Once I'm done I ask him for another cup. He lifts his eyebrows but gives it to me. After I finish it off I fall asleep again.
