Chereads / Another World's King of Pestilence / Chapter 5 - First Hunt

Chapter 5 - First Hunt

Gin experimented for an hour on what he could do with this Rotten Ghoul. He could share his vision and senses but he couldn't control it. He could only issue an order through telepathy or words.

Also, this ghoul has low intelligence just like what he expected.

Well, this was enough for him.

He knew how to fight as he was training for the past few years. He wanted to become a hunter so he naturally would prepare himself and train his combat skills.

"I'm lucky that I've trained myself in the past few years."

He sighed in relief as he climbed on top of the tree. He also has knowledge about camping. It was important for hunters.

To clear a dungeon. The hunters would stay inside it for a few days. A high-level dungeon would take at least one week before the hunters could clear it.

"If I didn't train myself... I could easily imagine what will happen to me."

He murmured in a low voice while observing his surrounding. The ghoul was still on the ground looking around curiously. He was like a curious child that knows nothing of this world.

The same could be said to him. He knew nothing of this world too.

"I could remember what type of monsters are edible and the fruits that can be eaten in dungeons."

He narrowed his eyes as he focused his attention on the trees around him. Inside the dungeons was like another world. There were trees, rivers, caves, and some high-level dungeon had a mountain in it. Fruits that couldn't be found on earth were present in the dungeon.

Various researchers on earth conducted a research on fruits inside the dungeon. They discovered that some of it was beneficial to the human body and some were harmful because of the strong energy inside it.

Aside from power, he needed food to survive in this world. It's one of the most essential things for human beings.

"It's time to leave the territory..."

Gin scout the surrounding area cautiously as he didn't know what kind of monster was living in this forest.

The ghoul was walking on the ground trying to find a monster. The ghoul has low intelligence so it didn't know how to move with caution like him. It was annoying but he could only accept it. Well, at least the ghoul was eye-catching and he was sure that the monsters would attack it first.

It was a bait. He would be able to sneakily the monster from behind if they were focused on the ghoul.

After half an hour, he found a monster and it was edible. A Green Spike Deer. It was a common monster in high-level dungeons. This monster wasn't at the level of level 1 mutants. It was weaker but it could kill him with that pair of horns if he wasn't careful. After all, his level was the same as this deer. Both of them weren't at level 1, the first mutation or evolution.

He let the ghoul approached the deer while he waited for the other side to ambush the deer.

The deer raised its head when a thick rotten stench filled the air. It looked in the direction of the ghoul and when it saw the ghoul it quickly run away in the opposite direction.

"It's my chance..."

Gin revealed himself and he quickly swept his legs on the ground. The deer was caught off guard and it was knocked down.

Before it could recover, Gin quickly jumped over and held its neck. If he was an ordinary human, he wouldn't be able to do this. But ever since new energy called mana went into the human's body they grew stronger than the human before the Emergence of Monster ten years ago.

He was even stronger than the athlete ten years ago. It was because there's a large disparity of strength between the people who had energy and not.

"I've got my first kill."

Gin stood up as he glanced at the corpse of the green spike deer. This was enough for him for a few days but he didn't have a way to preserve this corpse. If it was a level 1 monster it would last for a month before it rots.

He brought back the corpse in his territory. He collected dry woods and used it to created fire. He then roasted the meat of the deer that he hunted.

"Too bland."

Gin commented while eating the roasted meat of the deer. He wondered if the smell could attract the monster in the vicinity. That's why he let the ghouls guard his surrounding. It would send a signal in his mind if it saw any creatures.

After he finished eating, he checked his ability. He found that he couldn't create the [Imperial Malice Palace]. Before he could create it, he needed to expand his territory to 100 square meters. The size of the palace was 50 meters long and 20 meters wide.

The size of his territory was nowhere close to that.

To expand it, Gin would have to use his energy pool. 1 energy pool was equal to 1 square meter. He would become an ordinary human at this rate. His ability was very costly and he had to accept it. Aside from that, he could upgrade his [Foul Domain] to increase the size of his territory. From what he could see, this was the best choice if wanted expand the size of his territory.

Even if he expanded his territory to that size, he didn't have the other requirements to build his palace. Aside from the size of his territory, it needed 50 kg gold, 100 lumber of any kind, and 20 mana stone.

Damn! It would take years before he could build his palace.

He should focus on his troops first and how he could train his energy pool. If only he had mana stone or that mana enhancing potion. Mana stone was a rare stone that hunters found inside dungeons. It contained a large amount of mana inside it.

People could increase their energy pool by one in just a month. Also, people who had talent in absorbing mana could drain the mana stone in just a week.

For now, he should focus on surviving in this unknown forest. The location of his territory was pretty bad. It wasn't hidden. If some powerful monster appeared here he could only run and abandoned this place.

If only he wasn't excited to use his ability at that time, he would be able to avoid this mistake. Well, he could just accept it and carefully plan his next step.

Should he decreased his fighting strength and create more troops.
