Ellie enthusiastically clapped her hands while watching Elihim do an example.
"The first thing you should do is imagine clouds, but make it lighter. Here."
Elihim waved his hand and the trail of mist swirled in the middle of their room before it spread and looked like what a real mist should be naturally.
Ellie's eyes dazzled. She liked looking at the clouds. Elihim didn't know but it's like a dream come true for his little sister.
She walked, feeling the touch of mist.
"It's cold." she giggled.
Ellie forgot what she was supposed to do.
"Ellie, the first stage is Puppeteering. Do you know what a puppet is?"
"Yeah, of course, I do! You control the puppet its movement and things like that!"
Ellie said as she played in the mist.
"That's right. Now, can you imagine moving the mist in front of you?"
"Imagine?"
Ellie stared in a daze. At first, she saw the mist moving randomly.
"The mist has no flow. It just floats." Elihim tried to give more description, making Ellie's imagination deeper.
"It is formed by really really water droplets. There are countless of them."
"Why do they float, Elihi?"
"They float because they are lighter than air."
"Air has weight?!"
At that moment, the mist changed its movement. Even Elihim's eyes widened.
'That's right. Controlling the mist is like controlling air but that has a lot of water vapor. Understanding air made her imagination about mist expand. I have a lot of experience so I know a lot of nuances. I know the connection between properties. Even though I have yet to retain my memories back then, my soul knows it.'
Not only Ellie but Elihim was learning as well.
'So that's why there is a certain age where you can unlock your imaginative power. The younger you are, the more you can imagine. However, you lack the knowledge to truly make it realistic. The older you get, the more realistic you become. However, after reaching a certain period of adulthood, you lost the ability to imagine. You become more grounded to reality as you get older.'
He understood what most Imagis have yet to realize.
"Ellie, everything has weight. Even temperature."
"Temperesure?"
"Hahaha... basically, the colder you are, the heavier. The warmer, the lighter."
"Then why don't we float if we're hot?"
"Because our body is heavier than air in the first place, Ellie."
Elihim didn't expect Ellie to understand what he was saying. However, they got to start somewhere. He's just laying the foundation.
People learn through connection. The more one makes sense, the easier it is to remember. Memorization is the lowest form of learning.
Even if we are not finished with the first step, we can look at the second step, and try to reach the third step. At that point, the first step will become easier.
Elihim is well aware of these theories, making him one of the greatest teachers there is.
"If that is so, then why is it colder when you are high up, Elihi?"
Spotting a problem, the mist momentum disappeared.
"That's because the air is thinner. You see, we have little things called molecules."
"Molekyuls..."
"Air molecules, water molecules, wood molecules. You can't see it but it is there because they are really small."
"If you can't see it, how do you know it's there?"
"Do you not trust me?"
"I trust you! There are little molekyuls everywhere!"
"Right! They are always moving. Ellie. The faster their movement is, the hotter. That is why if we touch hot things, our hands will get hot too. This is because these molecules hit each other. The fast one loses speed and the slow one gains speed."
"Eh??"
"Think of it as two balls. If I throw the first ball and it hit the second ball, what will happen?"
"Umm..."
Ellie was deep in her concentration. Her imaginative power was sparking. In her mind, every word Elihim said will appear.
"Ah! The ball you threw has speed! If it hits the second ball, the second ball will move while the first ball loses speed. That's just like molekyuls! Then does that mean heat is being passed through? Does that mean how we move is like the little molekyul move too? The faster we ran, the more we hit the others harder."
Elihim smiled and shouted, "Yes! The faster molecules will try to escape and go to a higher place where there are only fast but few molecules."
"Ohh! Even if they are fast, there are only a few of them. That means there is less bumping with us so that's why it's cold even though the hotter one floats!"
Upon realization, the mist regained its movement under Ellie's control.
Elihim watched in amazement. He didn't expect Ellie to understand it so fast. He was feeling something he couldn't understand at first.
'Is this being proud feels? The achievement of others feels like an achievement of mine too.'
Imagining these molecules moving as a whole, Ellie moved the mist. Depending on their temperature, they moved up and down slightly. Although it does not have much to do with their moving, it helps deepen her imagination.
"Woahh!!"
Both siblings laughed in joy as Ellie ran around making the mist swirl. A magical scene played out in their own little world, in their room. Elihim felt like he was a real child again.
Outside the room, the couple passed through and heard the siblings laughing.
"Good thing, they are having fun. If Elihim didn't enter our family, Ellie must've been very lonely."
Lyssa said gladly.
"Ye- wait is that smoke!?" Heron was about to agree when some mist passed through the gaps of the doorway.
Thinking it was smoke from a fire, the worst scene about the siblings playing with fire came into their minds.
Immediately, Heron opened the door and shouted.
"What are you doing!?"
Lyssa was about to shout too but stopped. They didn't see a single light of a fire.
Elihim looked at them, not knowing what to do.
'I had too much fun I forgot about them coming in.'
