Chereads / I Accidentally Made Worlds Collide / Chapter 31 - Midnight Trespassers

Chapter 31 - Midnight Trespassers

Midnight came, the Enova Family was deeply asleep.

After Ellie played more with her newfound power, she got so tired right after that she fell fast asleep.

The energy within her was still too small and was just awakening. But since it's just mist and moving it doesn't need much effort. Yet, that doesn't mean it was not outstanding that she moved the mist so much.

Elihim taught Ellie more. Since they were already found out, he didn't care. In the future, the more talented Ellie is, the more her brother wouldn't get any attention.

After considering the pros and cons, Elihim found that it was better Ellie is a genius so that he can show off as much without gaining attention in the future.

Truthfully, Ellie was only above average. It Elihim who made her look like a genius. If Elihim taught Heron back in the days, Heron would've been also a genius.

Heron just lacks the teacher he needed that is why he couldn't awaken.

But from Elihim's theory, both Heron and Lyssa still had potential. He just had yet to know if helping them awaken at a late age is advantageous or not.

In the other room, Heron and Lyssa were so happy about Elihim's recovery and Ellie's probable potential that they made love almost half of the night.

They were so tired that they were also deeply asleep.

Drake and Jake, Elihim's two birds were no longer under his control for the night. They came back being regular birds as they are.

Unfortunately for Elihim, he had too little in possession that he couldn't set up traps or alarms around their house using Law.

He had no choice but to rely on his cultivated instincts to wake up when he sensed danger.

Outside their home, seven people gathered. A sledgehammer held by two men was raised and smashed the lock of the front door.

Thud*

The sound was loud but it was not enough to walk up the couple or Ellie, only Elihim.

"You think someone woke up from that?"

"I don't know but from what I know, there are only four of them here."

"Tsk! Look at this house, it's big! Heron must be living his life while making the place he was raised suffer!"

"Shush! Don't make any other unnecessary noise."

"What are you on about? That smash earlier is already is loud. There is no way they are no awake."

"Right, remember, do not harm anyone else. Don't do anything stupid. If Heron and his wife really woke up, just hold them down. it's easy to hold down the little sister then we'll take out the kid and be quick with it."

The three fathers brought another four that were strong for this mission. These four already had criminal records so they easily agreed. None of the three fathers could actually kill a young child.

The seven of them were currently wearing something that covers their faces. Some a mask and some just a sack with holes for eyes.

"Okay, okay, we get it."

Thus, the person in front slowly opened the door and see if there's anyone to ambush them. Seeing that there was none, they looked around and saw nothing.

"Huh... it's disappointing on the inside. I thought this is a rich people's place."

"Hehehe, looks like Heron only got the size but is empty, ey?"

The four men laughed while one of the three fathers shushed.

"Take this more seriously will you?"

"They have two rooms. Before it was three but from what I heard from Brius, Heron's only friend, the third became a storage room since their maid left them. They no longer had any money because when their child struck an incurable illness."

"Hm? You mean his friend helped out with this mission?"

"No, Brius had no idea. I just asked during one of our conversations."

"So which one is the kid's room?"

"I think it's the first one on the left."

The other six nodded.

Without them knowing, Elihim was already preparing himself behind the door.

'I have to do this as fast and quietly as possible. It would be bad if either Heron or Lyssa woke up, I wouldn't be able to do anything. They already have some suspicions on me, after all.'

On the first floor, the leader led two men and made the other four wait.

But when they climbed the stairs, the wood creaked.

It was not that Heron and Lyssa didn't wake up from that smash earlier. They just thought it was nothing since they were half-asleep and tired.

But when they heard multiple footsteps, they knew something was wrong.

"Lyssa... there's someone in our house. These heavy footsteps could not be from Elihim or Ellie."

Lyssa's heart thumped and nodded as they both quietly stood up.

Heron bravely opened the door without making any noise to see three people walking up the stairs. Their heads were covered by some masks and sacks that Heron didn't recognize any of them.

His first thought was 'Bandits!'

'There are three of them and they are closing in, what do I do!?'

However, there was no other choice. As an experienced hunter, Heron immediately took a knife from under the bed.

Elihim didn't know that his parents just woke up. He was too focused on the three men that were about to close in and open their door.

A bright fire glowed in his hand. Covering the light it emitted using his body, it did not disturb Ellie's sleep one bit.

'Come on... whoever you are, you will not have any mercy for trespassing home.' his eyes coldly emitted killing intent. He stayed silent to take them out by surprise.

When the three men were about to open the door and die, Heron came out of the second door, and with quick steps, he stabbed the first man in front of him.

"Argh!"

'What happened!?' Elihim thought in warry.

"Heron!?"

The one who was stabbed shouted.

"You know me?" Heron was surprised by this when a sledgehammer came hurtling towards his face.
