Chapter 34 - Madman

A mother's care but, in the end, there was only pain.

Finding forgiveness but, in the end, there was only pain.

Love finally bloomed but, in the end, he never got to see her again.

Last life...

Last beginning...

'These trespassers will experience hell.'

[Puppeteering]

Their arms horribly and unstoppable bent the other way.

[Reforming]

Their throats were turning thinner and thinner as if they were being strangled.

[Spirit]

Their body heat rose to the point of burning them alive.

...

Lyssa and Heron looked at their attackers squirming and twisting in pain. Their faces red and nerves popping out.

They then saw Ellie got released, however, her eyes stayed closed.

Lyssa immediately took Ellie and hugged her.

"Don't open your eyes, Ellie... you're safe now."

She couldn't watch so she turned her head away too. Only Heron, who was in pain, watched.

He didn't know how Elihim was doing it, but internally, he shouted.

'Do it, Elihim! Make them regret what they did and plan to do!'

On the first floor near the staircase, Elihim stood in front of the man who took him.

[Creation]

A blade appeared in Elihim's hand.

'No more, no more, no more...' he thought as he stabbed the person's heart without mercy.

Dan already died, making two of the seven men dead.

The one who carried Dan also received the same fate, a stab in the heart, making the kill count three.

The other four who had criminal records saw this and felt desperation. Even with their arms bent, they still had their legs. So with hardship, one of them stood up and ran towards Elihim.

Elihim almost had no more energy and stamina but he still dodged, albeit barely. But the second man immediately followed, hitting him.

Thud*

"Elihim!" Heron shouted but then shut up.

Lyssa peeked as she covered Ellie's eyes.

"What is happening to Elihi?" she quivered as she asked.

However, her mother couldn't answer truthfully. She wanted to help but she can't leave Ellie. Furthermore, with shaking legs, Elihim stood up from being tackled by an adult.

The two men, the one with the sledgehammer and the one who took Ellie earlier tried to get away.

'I have two arms and two eyes but I only need one eye to see and one arm. Therefore...'

"Law Exchange, Sole Exchange."

Only a Law Overlord can exchange a Sole Possession... to its maximum worth. Anyone lower would exchange it for something lesser.

"Give me all the imaginative energy I can exchange for."

[Law Maker is only Law Supreme. Sole exchange will only be seven percent efficient.]

Even though it was just seven percent, it was still a Sole Possession. An eye cannot be recovered nor an arm, it's the most valuable in front of the System.

Pop*

Heron's eyes widened as he saw Elihim's left eye and left arm just exploded into a bloody mess. That was not the horrifying part, but instead, how a seven-year-old child didn't even flinch at that.

Crack*

Multiple cracks could be heard again. This time, from the knees of the four men.

They couldn't scream nor shout. They only helplessly dropped onto the ground.

Elihim went to the one who held the sledgehammer earlier and pulled his hair up. Elihim's eyes stared deep onto the man's terrified eyes. Tears came flowing down from them.

"Madmen don't have the emotion to cry so you are not mad... you are trash."

Hearing Elihim's voice, Ellie opened her eyes to see his big brother push a blade onto a man's chest.

Although Lyssa covered the little girl's eyes, she herself had her head turned around. She had no idea Ellie can see.

Four out of seven men dead.

Ellie did the same to others. He propped them up before pushing the blade into their chest.

Five out of seven....

Six out of seven...

Seven.

After the seventh died, Elihim didn't rest. He went upstairs and saw Ellie's terrified eyes.

She is no longer looking at the other men. She was looking at him... with scared eyes.

Elihim stepped forward but Ellie twitched... so he stopped.

Elihim turned around and covered his right ear with his right arm. He slowly went climbed down the stairs as he muttered.

"Law Exchange. Heal my family. Take my right ear excluding its sense."

Pop*

Blood passed through the gaps of his fingers. Meanwhile, Ellie's wound on the cheek healed as well as Heron's injuries.

[Puppeteering]

Elihim walked out of the house and dragged the seven dead men along with him.

With his head droop down, he walked with shaking legs. Like invisible ropes tied to him and the seven men, they moved with his every step.

'It's fine, I have plan B...'

'The first plan just failed...'

'No one wants a monster in their family.'

'The only ones who can love a madman are already dead.'

'I will never see them again.'

'But that's fine, in this last life, I plan to live by myself and rest.'

[Reforming]

Far from the house he came from, a hole appeared on the ground. The dead bodies then began to creepily move by themselves and into the pit.

Elihim didn't spend another second looking at these dead bodies before turning around and using Reforming again, instantly filling the pit with soil.

After finally losing all of his stamina, Elihim silently sat under a tree. The bleeding had finally stopped after using the remaining energy he had.

Alive but lifeless, he gazed far.

'What is my new plan? I'll think about it tomorrow.'

'I don't want to think for now.'

'I need to rest first.'

'A new plan...'

A drop streaked through his cheeks.

"Huh?... I thought... I already stopped the bleeding...?" he wiped his cheeks.

But instead of seeing the color of blood, it was clear and only made his fingers reflective.

"... the bleeding isn't stopping..."

"Haha... ahaha... what do I do."

"I don't- sniff... I guess it's a little cold- sniff."

Sob... sob...

"Something must be wrong with me..."

Sob... sob...

"After all... madmen don't have the emotion to cry..."
