"What is happening?"
Heron and Lyssa came in. Smelling nothing, they found out it was not smoke but instead mist.
They then looked at the opened window.
"I don't remember being this foggy ever." Heron looked out the window and found out that there was no fog at all, not even mist!
He looked at Lyssa with a questioning look but even Lyssa didn't know how there is a mist inside the room.
Luckily for Elihim, the couple didn't think it has something to do with the siblings. In their minds, the two were just playing with the mist. After all, this was definitely rare.
"Elihim, do you know what happened here?"
Sensing no blame from his tone, Elihim was relieved and acted innocent.
"I don't know, dad."
"Hehehe..." Ellie muffledly giggled behind her delicate hands.
"Hm? How about you, Ellie, do you know something or did you saw something?"
But Ellie just pursed her lips while looking away.
'Wow, that's really suspicious my little sister.' Elihim just found it funny.
"Do you have something you don't want to tell us?"
Lyssa squatted down and asked.
Since her relationship with Heron significantly changed for the better, she was becoming more talkative than before.
"No..." Ellie slowly shook her head.
Lyssa lifted an eyebrow as she looked at Heron.
It seemed that Ellie had something to do with the mist but... how? Or is she just playing with them?
"Well, it seemed that you two can't sleep in this room."
Heron stood up and opened all the windows for the mist to escape.
"What do you mean?"
Ellie tilted her head.
"You two are going to sleep with us. We've never had that night since we had a small house!" Lyssa excitedly said.
However, Elihim and Ellie don't like that idea one bit. They are one hundred percent sure this couple will become lovey-dovey again!
Seeing it point-blank, that was not something they want to experience!
Therefore, Ellie moved the mist slowly out of the room and pointed.
"Ah! Look! The mist is going away now. Goodbye, Mr. Mist and Mrs. Mist." she waved her hand way up.
Lyssa and Heron were dumbfounded by this. There's not even strong wind and mist don't move on their own like that!
They realized something wonderful as they looked at Ellie.
Meanwhile, Elihim shook his head hopelessly.
'This is too fast. This is the first day I taught her and she's already caught. A six-year-old who became an Imagi, she's going to be more than just a genius...'
"O-okay..."
The couple just silently came out of the room.
Ellie put a thumbs up to Elihim but Elihim just sighed.
When the door closed, Lyssa and Heron looked at each other.
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Lyssa asked.
Heron grabbed Lyssa's hand and brought her to their room.
"Do you think Ellie is an Imagi?"
"That's too early to say, dear. She's just six years old. Awakening at fifteen years old is already considered a genius." Lyssa said with a complicated expression.
They want to be happy about this but it's too early to confirm their assumption.
"Do you think... it had to do with Elihim? Talent heavily depends on birth. Neither of our family histories had an Imagi that genius."
"Actually..." Lyssa thought back about her suspicions, "I feel something different about Elihim. I don't want to admit he has something different but he has. He's more mature after his headaches... wait, when was the last time he had headaches?"
"It was the night before I got drunk? Or are there more, I'm not always in the house."
"You're right, that was the last time! We forgot that Elihim had an incurable disease because of all that happened and because he is no longer having an episode."
Without saying anything further, the two of them came back to the siblings' room and found the mist again.
Ellie couldn't control herself while Elihim couldn't say no to his little sister.
Seeing their parents barge in. Ellie immediately dispersed the mist and made an expression as if she doesn't know anything.
'She was a better liar when she was four years old.'
Lyssa and Heron's heartbeat rose, however, they saved it for later as the latter asked Elihim.
"Elihim, are you not experiencing your headache anymore?"
Ellie sighed in relief, thinking she didn't attract suspicion.
At this question, Elihim frowned and shook his head.
"Umm... no, dad. I am not feeling it anymore."
Heron couldn't help but smile before looking at Ellie.
"How about you, missy? Are you really not hiding anything from us?"
Lyssa nodded.
"No, I don't." Ellie still played innocent.
"Hmm... is that so? Hmm, okay okay. Then get a good night's rest." Lyssa brought Heron outside.
When the door closed, she excitedly whispered.
"That is not a coincidence!"
"Do you think this is Elihim's doing?" Heron asked.
He couldn't dispose of the bad feeling. Although this should be a blessing, he felt Elihim was becoming a stranger. He had less understanding of his son.
Back to the room, Elihim heard their whispers as he stuck his left ear to the door.
'Finally, they caught on me not having any more episodes. I had to stop playing anymore. Now that Ellie is about to be an Imagi, it would be bad if that guy who checks up on me every week finds out.'
Elihim didn't know if he should laugh or cry.
'Although that guy wouldn't, our parents already know.' he then looked at Ellie's curious eyes, 'But I can't really blame this little sister of mine.'
On the other side of the door, the couple continued to speak to each other.
"I think we should talk to Elihim tomorrow and get to know him more."
"Okay, I will not go out tomorrow." Heron agreed, "I hope Elihim is still our son."
"It's fine, love, when did Elihim ever harm us? From my view, it seems that he is the cause why we got back together."
"There's no way he planned all that." Heron laughed as he hugged Lyssa's waist and brought her to their room.
"Oh yeah, have I told you about the strange dream I had when I was drunk?"
"No?"
"It's one of the reasons why we got back together and I still think that the voice in that dream is from Elihim. I don't know why but I still think it is. After all, it's a voice of a young boy and he calls me father."
"Ohh... tell me about it... but doesn't Elihim calls you dad?"
