"Hmm... then mommy is very proud." Lyssa placed the storybook on the nearby table.
"Do you remember where I stopped last time?"
Before Elihim could answer, Ellie raised her swiftly raised her hand.
"Earth is now very different from the past!"
Lyssa silently combed Ellie's hair as she nodded, "Yes. In the beginning, our near ancestors have been hiding and defending themselves as small tribes scattered all over Reland, thinking that they were the last of their kind."
"But one day, two tribes coincidentally met." Elihim butted in.
Lyssa nodded and continued, "When they met, their thoughts about being alone were washed away. Then one adventurous man, in one of those two tribes, thought that there may be other humans like them out there in the world, what if they search for them too? Do you know who this man is?"
"Oh! Oh!" Ellie frantically raised her hand before answering, "He's the First King of the East Green, King Erjen I." she whispered at the end when Lyssa signaled her to put her voice down.
"Very good. King Erjen I, when he was still young, brought many people to an expedition. His vision is to find all other remaining humans and bring them all together, creating the first kingdom of Reland after many decades, Erjessian."
"But mommy," Ellie then frowned, "You said before that animals... umm predators are stronger than before. How did the First King survive?"
Lyssa raised her eyebrows, "Very good question, Ellie. Well, you see, it is because he is also one of strongest Imagis at the time."
Elihim and Ellie's faces perked up when they heard this word.
Looking at their curious faces, Lyssa frowned, "Since you want to know what an Imagi is, I will tell you. However, don't tell your father that I'm telling you about Imagis, okay?"
Both Elihim and Ellie paused first before nodding.
"Okay, then. Before I explain what an Imagi is, let's continue about King Erjen I. After he created the first kingdom centuries ago, humans began rising up as a superior species again. They found out that humans are stronger when we are together. New tribes began sharing their knowledge until the wise elders find something strange. Each tribe has some history about finding something under the ground or just lying around the wilds."
Lyssa paused first before continuing.
"What they found are called [Artifacts] which actually came from ancient times."
"Artifacts..." both Elihim and Ellie muttered.
"These objects are complicated things when human civilization is greater. After figuring this out, all the wisest people gathered together to try and dig out the past using the Artifacts as pieces of evidence-"
"Mommy, when will you explain about the Imagis?" Ellie began getting sleepy. Listening to the history that she deemed as very boring.
"Okay, mommy will jump forward. After a long time, they found many things. For example, in the past, there are flying machines with wings that don't flap, cubes with wheels that let you drive faster than horses, and many more amazing things they call technology! Then, those wisest people learned about why the Earth became what it is today. Humanity went almost ex-..."
Remembering that she is talking to children, Lyssa rephrased;
"Ehem, most of the people back then disappeared. And the people who didn't disappear receive a strange power."
"Power?" Ellie muttered. Her eyes were falling from time to time as she grabs onto her mother's cloth.
"Yes. People before the Hyperobjection didn't have this 'power' that forces them to depend on other abilities and created what they call technology. As for us, we have the potential to create energy out of nothing. Those who awakened their potentials are called Imagis. These Imagis only need their imagination to do what they want..."
"That's like what... Elihi does... too... mm..."
"What a silly little girl..."
Lyssa whispered as she watched Ellie slowly fall asleep. But before she calls it a night, she saw Elihim's anticipating gaze so she continued.
"An Imagi only needs to think to do something. Until now, it is still unclear how this works. That is why people now are more focused on excavating and discovering the past to get more clues.
"So back to the Imagi. It took our people some time before they created the concept of Imagi's Four Stages.
"The first stage which an Imagi usually unlocks first at their awakening is Puppeteering. A Puppeteer can move objects however they want.
"The second stage after Puppeteer is Reformer. A Reformer can change or morph an object's shape, even its colors, or material it is made out of if they're skilled enough.
"The third stage is Spirit. At this stage, a Spirit can recreate nature by producing elements like fire, water, and rarest of all, lightning.
"Finally, the last stage is called Creator. A Creator can create something out of nothing like what their title suggests. Although there are more stages, theoretically, it is easier for an Imagi to follow the basics first before they could do more..."
After her words, Lyssa snapped out of her trance and felt dumb.
'I forgot that I'm talking to a five years old kid.'
She then looked at Elihim. His face suggested he understand everything she said. But she still wouldn't expect a five-year-old to actually understand everything she said.
Lyssa released him and tucked Ellie to bed. Afterward, she did the same for Elihim. While doing so, she was asked;
"Mom, at what age does a person awaken their potential as an Imagi?"
Lyssa showed a shocked expression before answering, "It depends on their talent and mostly luck, Elihim. Some people get, umm, enlightened and awaken at the young age of fifteen. Meanwhile, even the most talented ones start at eighteen."
Elihim's eyes widened before blinking it a few times.
"You don't need to think about it, Elihim. Neither your mother nor your father became one so... well, we don't actually know, maybe you awaken yours before the age of thirty." Lyssa changed her words to a more encouraging one.
Elihim was about to say something but before he could, Lyssa continued.
"So close your eyes now, Elihim. It's time to sleep." before she turns around and closed the door behind her.
That night, Elihim looked at his hands and was in disbelief at what he just heard.
.....
A few days later that night, a disaster struck the Enova's household, catching everyone off-guard.
"AHHH--!" Elihim held his head tightly while he screams in pain.
They have yet to know that will be the turning point of the Enova Family.
